Iphone 4 save restore in Itunes blocked
Hi all,
I'm totally lost, after have done the last IOS update (which should be light at the beginning) I was obliged to do a global restore of my Iphone 4.
It's the beginning of the troubles :
after restoring, i wanted to catch up my last backup version into Itunes (unfortunately dated from january... but it's better than nothing) but when I click the button Restore the last backup into Itunes, it asks me a password... I've try all my passwords used (PIN, iphone, Itunes, etc...) but every time i've the same error message : " Itunes could not restore the iphone because the iphone is offline".
I have tried to reboot, my computer, my phone, change the USB plug many times, etc... but nothing works, i have always this message whatever the password I use.
I begin to be crazy, i lose all my contacts, numbers, notes, pictures, etc... so i'm totally blocked, help me please

I had another go at uninstalling itunes and this time something called Apple mobile support ,then reinstall , i think the first time i connected the phone i did something wrong , But it works fine now :-)

Earlier today my iPhone4s shut down unexpectedly. It kept on showing the opening process (of the Apple logo coming and going) however it wasn't taking me to my home screen, instead was repeating this process. I pressed the home and lock button together for 30 seconds (from advice from the internet), which brought me to a screen of a picture of the USB cord and iTunes logo. I followed this instruction and plugged my iPhone into my laptop and opened iTunes. Immeadiatley, iTunes popped up to me that my iPhone was in recovery mode (I had never put my iPhone on recovery mode before so this was all new to me) and needed to go through with the restoring process. I clicked the Restore button to see this process go ahead. I tried so many times it lead to me to cry as my phone is only a few months old. All these times I tried the process was always cancelled by this message which showed it was an 'Unknown Error' and shown in brackets 'Error 9'. I tried this process so many times and I simply do not know what to do. Please can somebody give me advide/help and this is causing me stress as I have been working this out for hours. Configure your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, or 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.

My iPhone 4 wont 'restore from itunes backup' after updating
I just backed up then updated my iPhone 4. When it was finished it said a problem occurred and I had to restore it. When it finished restoring and I went to sync it and restore from the itunes back up, to get alll my old stuff back, but my phone is staying on that set up screen, and keeps saying connect to itunes even know it is connected and has already synced.
and nothing is going on my phone.The simplest way to exit out of DFU mode is to hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons on the iPhone while connected to iTunes. Then just hit the power button as and this should reboot the device as usual.

Iphone 3G not restoring from itunes!
I recently got iphone 3G (used) don't know if it had been jailbroken or not. I reset it because it was full of crap but after then i got stuck on apple logo with a loading circle (stuck). I did hard shut down and took it into recovery mode (as suggested in this forum), tried to restore from there but when it's preparing iphone for restoration, it gives error 1601 after some time. I ran the diagnostics and it said the secure connection to itunes failed, plus it also says that the connection to firmware update server was unseccessful, connection timed out. Please help here! i have tried almost everything and can't really get anywhere.

If checking the USB connections or security software settings does not help, your device has most likely been jailbroken in the past, resulting in this error. If so, this can't be solved due to the jailbreak. -
Ibooks - Problem with configuration of my iPhone. Please Restore?
I had bought a book on my iPad today .. and I sync'd it with my iPhone so I can read it on my iPhone as well .. but when I open the book it says " There is a problem with the configuration of your iPhone. Please restore with iTunes and reinstall iBooks."

It sounds like you jailbroke you iPhone. Try restoring it and setting it up as a new device.

Any error messages? If you are running any Anti-Virus programs or Firewalls, turn off or disable all of that stuff before you proceed. -
I blocked my ipad and then tried to use find my iphone to restore it but my ipad wasn't connected to the internet so it didn't work. Now it wont restore using Itunes either. How can I fix it because nothing works?!

I backed up the phone and updated to ios 7.0.4 which took about 2 hours. Now the phone powers on and says hello in different lagnuages and says to slide to setup. I am asked to choose a network and then if I want to setup as a new iphone, restore from icloud or restore from itunes backup. When I select restore from itunes the screen says "connected to itunes". In itunes I select restore from backup however after a few seconds itunes says that it cannot restore beause there is not enough free space on the iphone. During this attempt to restore I see the home screen and my screen saver and everything for a split second, then the phone powers off.
I see in itunes that all of my photos and data are still on the phone however I cannot get into the iphone.Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost. -
After both (1) changing the password for my Iphone 4S and now (2) loading system 6.1.3 for it (and restoring when Itunes said I must)
- Itunes it will no longer restore all the apps I bought with the old psasword.
How to get them please?

Profile doubtless that of an ignoramus.Ok, so I was able to find one but the one i'm most diappointed is the "free music" app i purchased and it had hundreds of songs that i didn't put on my desk top to save. So just so we're clear, I cannot get that app back again with all my songs if it wasn't in the "purchased" place?
Also,
my husband has a iphone 4 and i've been trying to connect it to our Garmin GPS through bluetooth. Now both devices recognize it but once a call is made or received, nothing goes through the GPS. I've had it working before but it was before a couple of upgrades. It is currently on ios7.2 upgrade. Is that why it won't work?

Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I have successfully restored my iPhone 3 gs( Ios ) by itunes. After activation it is asking for activation. When I am going for activation its saying that no SIM card is inserted, but I have already Ufone SIM card is inserted. I checked it with other SIM card like Zong etc but the response was same i.e; no SIM card is inserted. It not catching the signals. I am trying to use my wifi to activate my iphone but it iss not processing then i used itunes to activate by it's again saying that no sim card is detected.
My all contacts and all data is in this mobile. Now Iam unable to contact anyone. Please help me. How can I sort it out?

Wazir AliWell, if you did it yourself, then there is a chance that you damaged some other component inside the device that is causing your issue. The iPhone's are not user serviceable, and once you have opened the device you have voided any warranty and post-warranty support from Apple. I would try Google to see if you can find any other way to repair your device, as Apple will no longer look at it.

How can I restore my itunes library from iphone 4?
My backup files failed to restore my itunes library music after I had to reinstall Win 7. I followed all the instructions from Apple but my music library is empty. It now shows duplicate folders in my itunes file under 'My Music.'
Is there a third party software that will let me back up my iphone music so it will not get erased by itunes? Or is there some way to use icloud to send my iphone music to itunes?lol, nevermind. I came across an article that made it easy. For anyone else with this problem it's real simple.
Open itunes
File>Add Folder to Library
select 'itunes' and it will add your music to your library
Although it went through all my apps asking if I want to replace or don't replace with newer, when it finished all my music appeared in itunes just like I left it before reinstalling Win 7. Easy Peasy. I've seen others with same problem but nobody seemed to have this easy solution.
Now I can finally plug in my iphone and sync without losing all my music from my iphone. -
