Iphone 4 showed "searching" on top left corner, now blanked out- wont turn on, only when charger is plugged in.
Hi all, can someone help me please?
Yesturday "searching" appeared on top left hand corner of my phone.. i tried taking out the sim and inserting it, still the same. not long after that, the phone just blanked out! i plugged in the charger and the apple icon comes on and it just stays on that screen! ive tried holding reset button down together with home button for 10secs or more.. still no results. the apple icon just comes on n off when it is plugged into the charger. as soon as i take the charger off, the icon goes off and phone just completely goes off. i cant get it to work normally anymore. i've only had this for about 1 month now!!! Anyone know what's going on or what i could do to fix this please?

If you can, try and put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it to see if it resolves all the issues that you are seeing with the service as well as the powering off.

Once you have a proven, working Charger... Charge the Device for a couple of hours. Then try to turn it on.
If no joy...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If the issue persists...
Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Settings says 4g Cell plan successful. "4g" not showing in top left corner. Can't connect.
4g and LTE are available in limited areas in the US. Otherwise you will be on 3G.

C3180 is printing 2345x in top left corner of blank pages every time i print
Every time I print anything from my Mac Book Pro (running Mavericks 10.9), my C3180 spits out a page with 2345x printed in the top left corner of an otherwise blank page. Wasting my paper and my ink.

My phone has stopped receiving a carrier or 3G signal from EE. Have decided to try and restore phone to factory settings, but it wouldn't let me unregister from iCloud - so I then followed advice on this forum which said to restore the phone using iTunes. The phone now keeps getting to a certain point in the restore and then error code '1669' appears. I have tried to restore on many occasions now and still nothing. I have followed all the steps, i.e. updated itunes, computer still no joy - can anybody help. Thanks

I'm sure its something simple to change it back to the right layout, but for the life of me I can't figure it out, and he can't remember what it was he clicked on :(

Using a different cord- nothing.

White shadow has started showing up in top left corner on the transition from lock screen, then disappears. This is new, and it concerns me that it could be a progressive problem. Is this a hardware or software issue? Am I going to have to take it in?
I have an issue with a white rectangular box appearing in the top left corner of my laptop screen.
Do you have any Modern UI Fullscreen (MUF) apps running then? Sounds like a thumbnail for one that you could dig out of the corner by using your mouse pointer or see the whole MUF bar by pressing Win-Ctrl-Tab. If it is staying around
as an artifact that would indicate a problem with your GPU. To change that you could try using Internet Options, Advanced tab, Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering. -

The Apple logo in the top left corner was purple... why?
This is just a weird anomaly that I'd like to figure out. On March 7, I noticed the Apple logo in the top left corner of my screen had turned purple. Once it happened, I wasn't entirely certain it wasn't always like that, like maybe the black background I had was tinted purple, but wasn't noticeable elsewhere. (Plus, none of my friends that work for Apple had anything to say about it.)
Tonight, after working on my computer for a few hours, I looked up and the Apple logo was back to dark grey, so I know something weird was amiss.
I'm using the same exact background on all of my "desktops," and have been for months... did anyone else experience this? I can find nothing on it, but it seems really odd. The rest of the colors have been consistent, so it's not a display issue... and if it was, the screen shots wouldn't look different.
Obviously not important, but strange.
I have a MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum) 2.4gHz and use an external display.Weird, the same is happening to me on an 8 core mac pro. We changed the graphics card to a Nvidia a little while ago so I tought this might have to do with it but it did it before if I remember correctly. I also have a macbook pro and it doesn't happen on the macbook pro. We are only macs at the studio and I am the only one that this is happening. I know it is know the speakers close to the screen nor the screens themselves, cause I tried a bunch of different screens. I remembered trying out Istatsmenu a little while back and the color scheme of that app was purple. Maybe that has something to do with it... but the other day the apple logo was greenish/gray. It doesn't do anything, system is running fine, it's just weird... anybody has an answer?

When I export to Flash and upload, or even just upload to Vimeo an H.264 file, there it is, little white square. Final Cut Pro 7.0.2., Quicktime Pro 7.6.6, Quicktime Player 10.0...Solved it by de-installing Adobe Flash Player plug-in and installing it again. All good now

I just had my iMac sent away for repair as it kept heating up to the point where you could not touch the top left corner of the machine. It really only heats up when i open iPhoto and it is generating thumbnails for all the events. (Some reason it has lost all the thumbnails).
The Mac came back yesterday and they replaced the fans and cleaned out the machine and it has passed all heating tests.As user Seventy one recommended above, the "iStatPro" Free software is very useful in determining just how hot your internal hardware components are getting. You could post some of the temp readings from it here so we can comment on them.

1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo.
