IPhone 4 still locked
Hello All,
To unlock my iPhone 4, I was sent a request to AT&T and got an answer what iPhone will be unlocked in 24 hours. After 24 hours I run iTunes and seen congratulation – you iPhone is unlocked. Next, I save a phones content, install iOS 6 and restore a content using iTunes.
However, iPhone’s behavior is as it is still locked – “no SIM” message in the top-left corner and calls only via GEVEY Technology. Can anybody help me?

I Am from Brasil and december last year i bought a non contract iphone in usa but it still locked, now apple is sending non contract unlocked iphone, next week i am going to usa and would like to know if it is possible to pay and unlock my iphone in usa
A no-contract sales price does not mean unlocked.
Apple is now selling an officially unlocked iPhone in the U.S. which has nothing whatsoever to do with AT&T unlocking iPhones. It is up to the carrier and the carrier only to officially unlock an iPhone that was sold as carrier locked with the carrier - in this case sold as carrier locked with AT&T. This may change one day, but at the present time AT&T does not unlock an iPhone for any reason or under any circumstances. -

Apparently my iPhone 4S is still locked...
Apparently my iPhone 4S is still locked (was told it was unlocked)... But my Net10 (Tracfone) SIM card works and I have full MMS. How is this possible? Will I still need to unlock it?

I have good battery life with my iphone 4s and IOS 5.1 here in Canada.
I have turned off wi-fi, turned it on airplane mode, turned off ALL location services and notification centre (And maybe a few other things). I did not pay €799 for a stupid peace of crap that can't do anything so I expect the battery to work well with wi-fi on and airplane mode off but it's not AT ALL. -

If you are just stating a fact then I agree it is locked to your old carrier. If you are asking about unlocking then only the carrier can do that for you ...contact them ans ee if they offer unlocking

recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not phone
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

Basically I went to put my iPhone 4 into lost mode and it said offline (which means they signed out my apple id ) put I clicked lost mode and anyway will it still lock even if it is offline
The device will automaticly lock itself once its connected to the internet.

I got a used Iphone3gs from a friend.
I do not use the same carrier as the one he purchased the Iphone from.
I had him call the Operator and they said they have unlocked it in their system.
However the iPhone remains locked and the carrier (uder settings>about) is still listed as the original Carrier.
the phone as NOT been hacked.
I do not have a "Carrier" option listed in the main settings menu
and therefore have no way to change it manually

try moisturising your finger a bit if the skin is too dry it can give problems

Unfortunately I spent my Saturday AM at the Genius bar last weekend and that is when they gave me the new phone. This was after I also spent about 3 hours total on several apple support calls/chats.
