Iphone 4 stolen from the shop, unopened
Hi there,
Should I buy an Iphone 4 which was stolen from a local carrier's stock (warehouse), sealed in the box?
If I buy it will it work? Is there a possibility the Carrier will somehow block it? Can I check it before I buy it?

If you read my email, you will know that I wasn't talking about murder I was talking about someone that got arrested for POSTING COMMENTS about illegal activity. He wasn't arrested for saying that he did anything! Just for talking about illegal activity! All I'm saying is BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT ON A MESSAAGE BOARD!! Especially one that is owned by Apple! Come on man, I've been around the block. You still want to buy the phone and you want someone with inside Apple knowledge to tell you if you are going to get caught or not. I wasn't born yesterday! Kind of like saying "I have a friend that is in trouble, what should he do?"
And reposting your question the way you said it could have been doesn't make it sound any better.

If I purchase an iPhone 5 from the apple shop, will t mobile supply a nano sim for my existing contract.
I have an iPhone 5 pre-ordered from the Apple store in the UK. I was in our local T-Mobile store last Friday. They didn't know then quite what was happening about supply of nano sims, etc. The store guy thought I might get charged £10 for a nano sim, but he didn't know for sure. My iPhone 5 is due for delivery this Friday (21st Sep). I shall be back in my local T-Mobile store the same day. Good luck!

Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you -

Change all your passwords for accounts associated with the phone. Call your provider to have the phone blocked and contact the police if you are able to cover the theft via your household contents policy though many may not cover theft from vehicles unless as a specific clause. -

I am using iPhone 4 from the last one year and went dead and got it replaced by paying Rs.12500/- to Nyasa Sion Koliwada Mumbai Service Provider but now again after 38days the problem has started, what do i do? Is this is the quality & service we boost? On visiting the store we get only one reply you may write to Apple directely. we have the similar kind of problem with iPad which is being used by my wife Mr.Neelam Vij and paid Rs.16000/- to get it replaced within a year & 6months use. so in totality we have paid Rs.28500/- + Rs. 3000/- diagnostic charges.

Basically I'm looking to buy the iphone 4s from the american store online or from an american store. If I did this would I be able to get it so that I could use it in the UK with a UK phone service provider? Heard various tales about people not being able to use the phone in the UK so want to make sure it will work before I get it!An American retailer will not ship the iPhone outside of US borders. Slightly against laws in the US and in other countries.

I bought an iPhone 5 from the Apple store with a new Sprint contract in Sept. 2012. I would like to know if I port my number to T-mobile and pay off my Early Termination fee with Sprint, will my iPhone 5 will be unlocked to use with T-mobile network?
As Ethmoid says, it is still a CDMA phone as I told you earlier, and it will not work with t-mobile. Even if Sprint unlocked the phone, it would only unlock the GSM side for international use. They will not unlock the GSM side for domestic use in the US.

Sounds like the music you had on your phone was not the same music on his computer. The iPhone/iPod touch is not designed to be a storage device. When you sync with a computer that doesn't have your music, it deletes your music from your phone.
Was this music you purchased from iTunes? if so, and you are in the US, tap on itunes app, tap updates, tap purchased and tap on the cloud icon to get each song back. If you're not int he us, get iOS5 update later this week and do the same.
But you need to move your itunes library to his computer. Create a user account on his macbook pro for you. From your external drive backup, load your itunes library on it. Then sync as usual! (Don't tell me you don't have a backup for your computer!) -
