IPhone 4 stuck in recovery mode, iTunes error message pops up saying cannot be restored...how do I go about this?
Hi all..hoping someone can help me out with this.
So I recently lost my iPhone 5, therefore I am going to use a friend's old iPhone 4 in the meantime. The iPhone 4 has been jailbroken, but I wanted to do a reset to clear the jailbreak as well as just clear all other data, so that I can just restore my own iCloud backup & use with my own data.
However, the problem I am now faced with is that the phone is in recovery mode, and when I plug in the phone to my computer...I am given the options to click Restore. But after all the time it takes to update the software and supposedly doing its thing with "restoring" the phone....turns out no luck, i get an error message saying the phone cannot be restored. And now I pretty much can't do anything because I do not know how to do a reset of any sort to get out of this recovery mode.
PLEASE HELP. first time losing phone, first time trying to figure out how to reset and get out of recovery mode. I just want to be able to reset and then restore with previous backup..
I really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Also, if that doesn't work, try this:
First you need to create another App Store iTunes account with a different country. (If you're American, do Canadian and vice versa)
When you sign out then sign in under the new account, it will say that your account only works in USA and to change the store. Once it does that your top 25 will be changed back to top apps and you'll get no more errors. Then you can change back to your normal account.
You can create another account free. Do it through iTunes on your computer or Mac. Change the country at the bottom of the App Store. Try and download a Free app. That way you don't need a credit card. -
Iphone stuck in recovery mode. itunes says error 28
Yesterday my iphone went into recovery mode. i tried to connect to itunes but it is not recognised. when i try to restore it starts the process then comes up with an error 28 and goes back to recovery mode. have tried using other computers, user accounts, turning off and everything i can think of.
not sure if there is anything else i can try before i take it back to the shop?

IPod Touch 4th Gen stuck in recovery mode, no error message!
I have an iPod Touch stuck in recovery mode. It has a picture of a usb cord pointing to the iTunes symbol. When I plug it into a computer it says "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes." So i did. After it had finished it came up with that message again! Also I've tried using DFU mode and it didn't work. Suggestions?

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

I tried to update my 3G to IOS 4 and I got error 9 when I try to restore it in DFU mode, since that when I try Recboot, I get out of the Recovery Mode but I see the apple, then white flash, and apple again..over and over..

The iPhone does not have enough free space to perform the update.
For those encountering this error during a sync that is not related to an update, you'll have to check and see if your issue is related to free space.
For me, the solution was:
1) Choose to NOT sync content on the Music, Photos, Podcasts, and Video tabs. Click Apply.
2) The iPhone should sync to a mostly empty state
3) Click the Update button on the Summary tab
4) At the conclusion of the update, re-select content on the Music, Photos, Podcasts, and Video tabs. Click Sync.

So awhile ago the screen broke so I bought a kit on ebay to fix it, my boyfriend did a beautiful job using a tutorial on Youtube, it turns on, tells me to connect to itunes. Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications. I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. An incorrectly set default packet size can cause this error. Contact the software manufacturer that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. i've updated my iphone 4 (gsm) to ios 6.0.1 and after that it's stuck in recovery mode (itunes logo cable), i tried many solutions but nothing works, did any one has an idea about this , thank you
I should add that this has never been Jailbroken. I keep reading that a lot of times this is the case for a jail broken phone.
I have also gone through the not very helpfull steps on apples site to fix this.. It is not a security issue since i dont have an antivirus or any 3rd party software for my computer. -

I was attempting to update to the new ios 8. I did this all in the normal way as i usually do. When it got to the extracting software at the top of the itunes screen it took about 1 hour for this to nearly reach the end. then just before it reached the end it stopped and said it could not be restored as the iphone could not be found. now the iphone 5 is stuck in recovery mode and every time i connect it to itunes it says i need restore which i do and then the same thing keeps happening. it goes to extracting software bar for an hour and then stops just as it is about to finish.
i have a laptop with windows xp and have installed latest itunes, i have attempted rebooting everything with no joy.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4Follow exactly what I wrote below to fix iPhone stuck in recovery mode:
Hold both power button & home button for 10 seconds.
Once the device shuts off release the power button and keep holding the home button for 10 more seconds.
The screen will remain black, plug it up to iTunes and see if it detects it.
If that does not work hold both buttons to make device shut down, once screen is off hold the home button while plugging it up to PC.
Do not let go of home button till recovery screen shows up on your device. -
