Iphone 4 stuck on apple logo screen

I have an iphone4. Its was updating apps and lock up. After 15 minutes or so i did a hard restart. Now its stuck on the apple logo screen. I did the hard restart holding down the home key and connecting it to my mac. Itunes says in in recovery mode and ask if i want to restore. I click yes. It goes to the extracting software and then verifing with apple. After that back to the apple logo screen. Any ideas?

The same problem Here, BUT
I can't restore my iphone.
I put my iphone in DFU mode, i conect it to iTunes i start the process, but it gets stucked in "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple".
Then nothing happens, just after a few minutes later it appears the error Message and of course my iphone continues stocked.
Anyone knows what can i do?

  • Iphone 5 Stuck at Apple Logo Screen

I finally updated my iphone 5 to latest ios when it begin to boot up. It got stuck at the apple logo screen and it been their for 30 mins i trun my phone off put it back on. I did a hard re-reset etc..
Also after a while it would go black real quick then return to apple logo screen.
I dont want to restore my phone because i dont have a recent backup for everything i have on my phone as of right now.
Is their any way i can backup my iphone at the apple logo screen then restore it?
Or any other methods to escape this apple logo screen of death?

Unfortunately, you are going to have to try to restore it. You will have to do this by putting your phone into DFU (recovery) mode.
    1. Open iTunes, plug your sync cable into your computer, but do not plug in your phone.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the home button at the same time. When the screen goes black, let go of the power button but continue to hold the home button for about 15 seconds. Once you do this, plug the sync cable into your phone.
    3. iTunes should recognize your phone and tell you it's in recovery mode.
    4. Restore your device.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help: iPhone 3GS Stuck on Apple logo screen

Today my iPhone was not connecting to the wifi network so I decided to "Reset Network" on the iPhone. Well, during the reset, it went to the Apple logo screen and is stuck in that screen. I cannot turn off the phone, tried to reset pressing the home and on/off together for 10 seconds and it is still stuck on that screen. I tried to restore but iTunes does not recognize that the phone is plugged to the computer. Has anyone seen this? Do I have to send it to Apple for repair?

  • IPhone 4 stuck in Apple logo screen

I have an iPhone 4, that I had to replace the LCD, power switch - proximity sensor cable, and home button on.
After I had made the repairs (after making sure everything was reassembled correctly) I then proceeded to turn the device on.
Now it will only display the Apple logo at startup.
When I turn the phone off (via the Home + Sleep/wake method) it will sometimes revert back to the Apple logo screen.
I have reset the phone (gone through recovery mode) at least 5 times to correct the issue, yet it still is not working correctly.
The only software change that had been made to it, was that I had updated it to the most recent version of iOS. And that was approx. 2 weeks before the issues with the phone.
Is there another solution to fixing this phone, or is it basically done?
(If I can, I really need to get this phone fixed (if at all possible).
    Thank-you.

    Thank-you for the reply.
I have checked the charging port. It checked out to be good.
I then checked the following flex connectors:
Digitizer - it checked out ok
LCD - While it did check out ok. I wonder if it might have a defect in it. (because it does flicker)..
    Earpiece - checked out ok.
Front Camera - checked out ok.
Power switch / proximity sensor cable.- Bad...
During my testing of the phone, any time I would turn the power on to the phone. If I unplugged the connector for the power switch. The iOS would continue to load, but if I left it plugged in. Then it would stay on the Apple logo.
I will reply to this thread after I receive the replacement part, and I have had a chance to check it out (to make sure that takes care of the problem.

  • My Iphone 3g stuck on Apple logo screen, My Iphone 3g stuck on Apple logo screen

I purchased an Iphone 3G back in 2009, just recently it started giving me an issue with loading properly.
It will freeze with the Apple logo, and the loading circle underneath it, Ive tried all the hardboots, resets, etc...None of these have helped whatsoever.
I took it to the Apple store and they told me that it was an unrepairable hardware problem, and that I would have to throw out 269$ to get a brand new phone 3G,
So I said no..but a few days later I tried charging the phone again, and all of a sudden it works as if it were brand new. It has not given me any problems for weeks except since yesterday. It's doing the same thing all over again.
My dillemma now is should I,
    1) Pay out my contract ( which ends in October ) and buy the new Iphone 4, Cost me roughly 400$
    2) Wait until a new Iphone 4G comes out? ( Has anyone heard anything?? )
    3) Pay for a brand new Iphone regular, Cost me roughly 269$
    4) Any other options I have?
Any help would be greatly apperciated, as Im in such a frustrated position ;(

hey there. I had the same problem as you - seemed to be caused by a crash on the app store for me. I freaked out a little too, because iTunes was beachballing when I plugged it in, so I couldn't even get to the restore button under the iphone screen.
But, it turns out you can make the phone enter a full software restore mode, as described here:
    http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/iphone-software/help-iphone-is-stuck-19333. html
"Plug your iPhone to the usb and then press and hold the power and the home button at the same time it will reboot but keep on pressing it next time it will boot,(let it boot twice while holding) an itune logo will appear and now you can restore, try it it works"
I have just restored the firmware etc now, which got my phone up and running again with factory settings, and now I am in the process of restoring from a backup (seems to be working, but it takes a long time I must admit).
    Good luck!

  • My iphone 4g stucks on apple logo

I had upgraded my IPhone 4 software version 4.3 to 5.0 two days back but today evening when I restarted my phone, it stuck on Apple logo screen and did't bootup. When I'm attaching it with my PC it gives a maqssage on Itunes
" Itunescould not connect to the Iphonebecause it is locked passcode. You must enter your passcode on the Iphone beforeit can be used with itunes"
But on Iphone screen I'm not able to see any activity except apple logo.
    Kindly suggest.

Try to reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

my iphone is stuck at apple logo , what should i do ?

    Hello Usmanoo7,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Unable to update or restore
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to perform a recovery-mode restore if the device displays the Apple logo with no progress bar or a stopped progress bar for over ten minutes.
    Best of luck,

  • Iphone stuck at apple logo screen, Won't restart, or show up in Itunes!!!

I was texting, then the screen froze(ever since the 2.0 update it has froze many times so I thought nothing of it), then I tried to do a restart(hold sleep, and home button for 10 seconds), then it never restarted. It stayed at the apple logo screen forever. It wont show up in Itunes. I don't know what to do.
    Any ideas?

yeah mine was doing that too.. its some kind of software that you have (an app probably)
so plug in your iphone to the computer and hold down the home and sleep button (like a restart) but when the apple logo shows back up, let go of the sleep button but keep holding the home button and then you'll have to do a full restore...

  • IPod Touch 4G Stuck On Apple Logo Screen

So I just recently jail broke my iPod touch 4G and was using iFile to delete some default apps and stuff that was taking up space on my device.  I only need to use the Music app, so all of the other default apps can be erased.  I must have accidentally deleted something in regards to the music app because I am not able to transfer music onto the device using iTunes.  I turned my iPod off then and turned it back on and this is where the major problem came in.  It's stuck on the Apple Logo screen and will not boot back up or anything.  I have tried putting it in DFU mode and doing every kind of reset or restore and none of that has worked.  Now it doesn't even show up in iTunes.  Unfortunately I don't remember every thing I deleted when using iFile, so I cannot provide much information regarding that.  My iPod has worked perfectly fine until I jail broke it, which I probably shouldn't have even done but none the less if someone has any possible genius solution to my problem, I would appreciate you leaving a comment.  Thanks.

  • Ipod 5 stuck on apple logo screen

last night(about 22 hours ago) i tried to update my ipod 5 to ios 8.2 I clicked the install button and then left my ipod on my desk charging. I came back about an hour later and it was stuck on the apple logo screen but with no progress bar. Every minute or so so about 10 minutes it started to glitch out and shut down right when the lock screen would show up. It has been on the apple logo screen since then and i just got back from school to find it stuck. Occasionally it will get a little dimmer, but about a minute later it will be bright again.
