IPhone 4 to IOS 6.1 upgrade problem.

I upgraded my iphone 4 to the latest operating system this morning (IOS 6.1) from the previous one.
Now it won't work at all. It says "No SIM card installed".
I am with Orange. Can anyone offer advice?

iOS 6.1 BATTERY FIX
Previous battery would last about 4-5 hours. Fix returned battery life to normal.
This has worked for at least 4 of my iPhones.
1. Completely update ALL apps on computer.
2. Completely update ALL apps on iPhone.
3. Physically connect iPhone to computer and synch. MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP.
- force a backup by right-clicking on the iPhone and select "Backup"
4. Transfer all apps from iPhone. Right click on iPhone in iTunes and select "Transfer Purchases".
5. Open iPhoto (or your photo app) and backup all of your photos.,
6. In iTunes, click "Restore to Factory Settings". It will take a little while.
7. When restored, you want to restore from the most recent backup.
That should do it.

When you restored did you set it up as a new iphone or restored from backup ? if you restored from backup i think you should try again but this time set it as a new phone maybe it will solve the problem

Iphone 3GS - Post IOS 4.3 upgrade Issues

After upgrading to IOS 4.3 on the Iphone 3GS I have noticed the following problems and am seeking a resolution
1. Citibank app fails to switch between landscape and portrait mode and the page does not re-size
2. Monopoly has foreign characters and cannot get it to display english even after deleting and re-downloading
3. Photos - In the list the first one- camera roll gets masked by the heading"Albums" and can't open it.

After I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6 I have been having a lot of problem. The home and lock buttons often do not work/have a very large delay. The screen freezes frequently. The vibrate for texts and calls is often delayed or never occurs. Have others been experiencing these problems as well or have any suggestions?

I noticed that my camera app crashes when panorama mode is engaged - but only if the sound is switched off.

I'm using Airport Express (2nd generation) for streaming music on my stereo from 2 iPhones: one 5 and one 6. Since I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS8.2, Airplay is not working anymore on this phone: Airplay icon is visible and actionnable, but it doesn' produce any sound on my stereo. Airport Utiliy is OK.
Airplay is still working on my iPhone 5 which hasn't been upgraded.
I did a hard reset of my iPhone 6, with no success.

I'm having a similar issue with my 4s. I did the update yesterday, restoring as a new phone. That afternoon, immediately after finishing the update, the battery was draining at about 1% a minute, with the only usage being listening to an audio book through my bluetooth headset for about 15 minutes, and simply carrying it in my purse for about 30 minutes.
I tweaked all the usual battery maximizing settings, charged it back to 100% and it was behaving normally the rest of the evening. I did not charge overnight, and it was at 47% this morning -- typical for when I forget to put on airplane mode and it spends the night searching in vain for a cell signal.
While driving to an appointment I charged it on my car charger. It got to 97%. While waiting at my appointment for ~ an hour I listened to an audiobook through the headseat and played a couple of games. Battery got down to 5% in that time, and the phone was hot. Not excessively so, I don't think, but definitely way above normal.
Given that I installed the 7.1 update by restoring as a new phone from the get-go, would your recommend I do it over, or try something else?

Ios 7.0 upgrading problem

I just updated my ipad to ios 7.0 and i cant open my ipad now coz the picture says connect to itunes and when i connect to itunes in my laptop says need to restore my ipad. when i restore it it says again that my ipad is not connected to internet. how can i connect to internet in the first place when i upgrade my ipad i cannot open it anymore. the plug picture and arrow up to itunes right now is the only thing in my screen. i cant open my ipad anymore. any help please

Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
You need to download an ipsw that cotrresponds with your ipad. use the link

holding the home and power button for 15 seconds when connected to itunes.
itunes will detect an iphone in recovery mode hold option and click restore ipad

New iPhone 3GS with iOS 5 creating a problem with white screen

Hi There,
I purchased a new iPhone 3GS from iStore in India on 27th Dec 2011 and got a problem saying phone was getting restated automatically. Later got a new device replaced by Apple and now it started a new issue from the day one, with a temporary white screen of death.
It happen, whenever the phone is kept on stand by for a longtime, mostly in nights. Further after receiving a call/text kept the phone idle and by the next call come phone turns white and to get rid of it need to press power button once and then press the home button.In the white screen mode touch is not responsive.
Please let me know what can i do. Tried restoring device from back up, via itune... everything is done. but not getting a solution.
Is it the problem of iOS5.
Any help... please suggest.

Hi... Posted there please try to upgrade your OS, I hope this will resolve your issue but if it doesn't please reach out to a nearest apple care and check for a solution, as ur phone is from US, these guys cannot help :(

How I resolved iOS 4.1 upgrade problem fix

I kept getting message "The Phone "Mike's iPhone" could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible". I did the usual turning off XP firewall etc with no luck. I finally searched for .ipsw files on the computer and found this:
iPhone3,14.1_8B117Restore.ipsw.download
The firmware did download but the suffix .download seems to cause a problem.
I edited the file name and backspaced through the dowload and the last period.
I then clicked on the Update in iTunes using shift-Update. I navigated to this file and the update proceeded normally.

The iPhone 3G cn only go as high has iOS 4.2.1.
Going to 4.2.1.requires iTunes version 10 or higher. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later.

IPhone 4 and iOS 6 random reboot problems

After updating to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 I have been getting random reboots? It is not any specific app it just happens all around the os? Is there any way I can fix this? I have already tried a restore does not solve the problem.

I am dealing with the same issue. I only notice it happening when I am/have been using the phone heavily. I assume this has something to do with the system cache being full and needing to be cleared. This used to happen with my android device all the time. Hopefully a solution comes from apple in the form of a software fix, I already did a full reset. If it continues I'm going to do a restore with iTunes.

No LTE on iphone 6 after ios 8.3 upgrade

I have verizon, and have lost LTE since I upgraded my iphone6 to ios 8.3. also, my battery drains super fast. Any suggestions? I have checked Settings>Cellular>Enable LTE, it is set to voice and data and cellular data is on.

Verizon had me reset network settings and I was able to get LTE back. Thanks for the suggestion though.

If you re-install the app all your groups will be gone, and you will have to ask them to add you again.
I have issues when more than on message was sent by the same user. If I have only one message, it opens fine.
I didn't like the new iOS 8.1.3, besides the whatsapp issues, it messed up all my information, and also, I have to download all my purchased musics again.
How can I downgrade to the last version?
