IPhone 4 touch screen not working properly

i have a white iphone 4 (at&t if that makes a difference)
it used to work perfectly, i havent dropped it a single time, i dont have a case on it, neither do i have a screen protector.
these past two days, my screen is going crazy. yesterday, while i was texting, when i click on backspace (to erase a mistake) it clicks the return button automatically and it doesnt stop for like 2 seconds so it skips a line for 2 seconds. then when i try to type, when i click on the letter R, it clicks on the letter S (for example). or when im on safari, i try scrolling up, it opens a website or clicks on something completely away from where i touched the screen. when it happened yesterday, i turned off and on the phone by holding the home+power buttons together until it turned off. it worked yesterday but today, it became crazier. it was wayyy worse. i cant use the phone normally because of this. sometimes i cant even unlock the phone. or it automatically ends the call when im talking to someone. when i unlock the phone, it starts acting upon itself and opens apps or opens the texts and types random letters. this is getting really annoying now that i cannot use my phone normally. is this only happening to me or has it/is it happening to someone elsee.. if it HAS HAPPENED in the past, how did you fix it ?

Make sure that you're using the latest version of iOS.
Make sure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry.*
Cover the Home button completely. Don't tap too quickly, don't press down hard, and don't move your finger while Touch ID is scanning. Make sure that your finger touches the metal ring around the Home button.
If you're using a case or screen protector, make sure it doesn't cover the Home button or the surrounding ring. If it does, remove the case or screen protector and try again.
Tap Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure that iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is on. Also make sure that you've enrolled one or more fingerprints.
Try enrolling a different finger.
If you can't enroll any of your fingers, take your device to an Apple Retail Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact AppleCare for help.

Brand new ipod touch screen not working properly

My sons brand new ipod touch 32gb (well bought april 14) only occasionally will respond to the touch sceen, and when he does get into it the next screens dont work properly. Any suggestions?

Try #2 and 3 in link below. If neither help, it's most likely a hardware issue then. Contact Apple and get it serviced.

Touch screen not working properly

I've encountered a weird problem with my newly purchased iPhone 3G S.
The touch screen doesn't work as it ought to. I.e. when I "slide to unlock" nothing happens at first if the iPhone lies on the table, but if I pick up the phone and hold it in my left hand while sliding to unlock with my right the touch screen suddenly works flawlessly. It also work when it lies on the table and I hold two fingers on each side of the phone while I operate the phone with a third finger!?
If my description doesn't make sence I've documented the problem with this small video (please disregard the sound - I'm speaking Danish).

This isn't my first iPhone and it wasn't an issue on the 3G version that I had earlier.
Have anyone of you got an idea how to fix this or do I have to RMA a 14-days-old phone?

HELP: iPhone 6 Keyboard/Touch Screen Not Working

Hello.
I recently acquired to an iPhone 6, which has been working properly for the last two weeks. Today, my keyboard/touch screen stopped working properly. When I am typing in iMessage, or trying to compose an email, enter a URL, or anything else that requires my touch keyboard, my "123" button that switches to numbers, punctuation, and special characters does not open. I updated my software to iOS 8.3., which switched to a new and "improved" emoji keyboard, but I did this after my keyboard had already become unresponsive. If I click on the emjoi keyboard icon to switch over, the "ABC" button to swtich back to QWERTY is unresponsive. This is REALLY frustrating! The phone is two weeks old, and I cannot use to for a huge chunk of functionality.
It's not a dead spot on the touch screen. When I am not trying to access the keyboard, that little bottom left corner works fine to open/use my Phone app.
I really don't want to reset my phone. Any other ideas?
I made a Genius Bar appointment for next Wednesday 4/15, but that seems like an eternity from now.

To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the Touch Screen . If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

I am facing a new problem after a missed call. i phone will get freez on its lock screen after a miss call. Its seems that its main screen touch is not working properly. This problem occurs after each and every missed call.

My iphone 3gs is not working properly, when switched on it says 'Update Completed' as though it has just been updated. On the next screen it says to 'Connect to iTunes'. It doesn't, however, connect to iTunes and more often than not just resets itself.

Occasionally after switching on and off a few times it functions normally for a few hours and some times even a couple of days but eventually always turns itself off and goes back to the 'Update Completed' screen. Removing the SIM has no affect on the power of the phone. It is just the part that facilitates connecting to your carrier. Try holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo on the screen and then release the buttons. The phone should reboot. You may need to hold the buttons together for 15-30 seconds.

It seems that one of the Windows Updates is causing some conflict with the touchscreen driver/firmware. Try the following steps as a temporary work around until HP can come up with a permanent fix.
1. As you power on the Omni 10, press the hardware Volume Down button to get into the BIOS menu
2. Select BIOS Setup (if the touchscreen is not responding, you'll need to plug in a USB mouse via a micro USB male to USB female adapter)
3. Select Exit on the LEFT side of the screen
4. Select Load Setup Defaults on the RIGHT side of the screen & select Yes
5. Select Exit Saving Changes on the RIGHT side of the screen & select Yes
After the restart, the touchscreen should work again.

If after you charge it for about three hours and it only last about five minutes the battery is probably dead or there could be another hardware problem. I would go back to the Apple store and ask them specifically how can it be OK if the fully charged battery only lasts five minutes.

I have followed the instructions to reset the printer, but now am unable to select 'English' as my language because every time I select the 'English' option 'Spanish' is selected. I am then given two options to select 'Si' or 'No' both of which can not be selected on the touch screen?

I see that you are having issues with the touch screen not working correctly. I will do my best to help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Was it the Nvram reset back to factory settings that you tried or a hard reset?
Try selecting the option on the display a little higher above the icon to see if that helps. Some touch screens are finicky.
I find that on the Lab printers when I am selecting different menus.
