IPhone 4 unable to 'find sim' after my holiday to Egypt.

I recently went on holiday to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt - the phone being able to work perfctly fine - yet over there I had the trouble of it saying 'No sim card installed.' Usually when I get this error I just take the sim out and put it back in and it's fixed.
I'm now back in the UK, and the problem persists. This only started overseas. Carrier is Orange, and I live in the UK.
Please help!

hi. did you update from iOS 7.0 or from iOS 6?
if you updated from iOS 6, then you problem is caused by the fact that the iOS operating system take more room on the iPhone, and since your iPhone must have been full when you backed it up, the additional OS features, prevent the backup from fully installing...
You would need to downgrade to iOS6, but this is not recommended at all, and could compromise your phone.
Hope it explains, even if I don't have the answer.

Did you choode to delete them or save them when updating? In the finder go to your Movies folder (or the root of an external drive with projects/events) rt. click on the library icon, show package contents... do you see your events/projects in there? See this link:

AirPrint - iPhone 5 can not find printer after router change

AirPrint - iPhone 5 can not find printer after router change; however router is exact replacement of previous one (Zyxel, issued by Imagine wireless). AirPrint was working previously. Printer is on same network. Wireless printing working fine. Have tried rebooting prtiner, phone and router. Any suggestions?

Problem solved with turning off ipad and removing sims card and re-inserting and powering back on.

After i updated my iphone it askes me "please insert suported sim that comes with the phone'' but i don't have the sim card that comes with this phone.

You can not activate an iPhone without a SIM card (except CDMA phones). If you have no SIM at all in it, then you need to obtain one from the carrier it is locked to and put it in the phone in order to activate it. If you have a SIM in the phone now, that indicates the phone was hacked to unlock it and updating has re-locked it to the original carrier.
ONLY the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Contact them and find out what their policy is.

Iphone 4 unable to extract picture after restoring from backup.

Hi all
i m currently using a iphone 4 and while before restoring i have done the back up and after restoring all 2500 pictures was gone and no way to extract. But making use of other third party software all picture was found but due to purchase software thus never make any purchase to retrieve all picture back.
can anyone help to resolve the problems above mention and seem like the jepg file has became a document file instead?

It sounds like the restore process will not complete successfully and the phone will not boot up. I recommend starting by resetting the phone, then try restoring again.
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

10.7.5 unable to find apps after reboot.

Lately, after I reboot, Lion seems to "forget" where my apps are. When I try to open a file, I get either a warning that this is the first time I'm opening a new app, or that it can't find the app for the file I've double-clicked on, and asks me to find it. Besides being annoying, it makes me wonder if something's going wrong with my OS. This Intel Quad Core Mac Pro and Lion OS are just over a year old. Any ideas or suggestions?

Have you moved any of the Apps out of the default Applications folder at any time?

Canon Wi-Fi Printer Unable to find SSID after OS upgraded

I am using Canon MG4100 series printer. After I upgraded my iMac OS X 10.9 and also upgraded the firmware of my Time Capsule, my printer is no longer able to find the SSID. While all other devices have no issue except the Canon printer. Anyone can help?

Make sure the wireless names.. and TC name is smb compatible.
Short.. 2-20 characters
No spaces
Pure alphanumeric.
The standard apple names are invalid in most OS.
Even apple manipulate the network names..

Then I recommend you buy a cheap TP-Link, edimax etc wireless router and use it as a WAP.. plugged into the TC.

I performed a backup / full reset / erase all / restore. When the phone rebooted, it appeared to be a clean, new iPhone (unnamed, no apps, no wallpaper, etc). I restored my backup and the notification is still there. I tried doing a hard reboot (home+off buttons), still there. I will attempt one more reset / erase / restore.

Unable to find HDD after erase with disk utility

Background id I had installed the Lion OS but then got into trouble with the "flashing question mark " at start up.
After using the recovery option, Lion OS was reinstalled and things were fine for a couple of days. Then the "flashing ?" returned
This time, it appeared the "Cmd R" did not work. So I browsed until I found out it is possible in the reinstallation, the recovery option was removed.
Ok, so then one of the discussion threads suggested to use the installer disc to boot up, use the disk utility to erase the HDD and install in my case Snow Leopard, and thereafter install the Lion OS.
I am stuck after clicking "erase". First there was an error message - "file system formatter failed' then I no longer can see the HDD in the disk utility.
How can complete the HDD erase function so I can proceed to install the OS?

A check in the system profiler - "There was an error while scanning for Serial ATA devices"
Looks like my iMac's HDD is kaput...Or is there a way to fix this?
