IPhone 4 upgrade from 3G PLEASE help
After much encouragement from me, my friend finally broke down and bought and iPhone 4 to replace her 3G. She was having much trouble trying to get synced with iTunes, so I offered to help...
After spending 5+ hours (for various reasons) trying to get it to work, we have had no success. The 3G has Version 3.1.3 on it. We SYNCED the old phone on her iTunes on her computer, and all of her "stuff" appears in iTunes (on the computer). When we hooked up the new phone, and clicked Sync, it gave the message that Sync is Complete after only a few seconds. Needless to say, nothing changed on the phone.
There is a backup of the 3G listed on iTunes, but I am afraid:
a. that the OS 3.1.3 will not function on the iPhone 4
b. that we will totally mess everything up, including losing her contacts that the kind young man at the AT&T store moved onto her iPhone 4 for her
c. that we will lose all of her stuff from BOTH phones.
Can someone PLEASE give us some advice?
Do I need to update the iPhone 3G to the newest version of iPhone OS 4?
I am obviously clueless.

It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

I'm assuming you mean you don't have your camera application (which is not saved on any backup anyway).
One way to find it is to get to your home screen, swipe the screen from right to left, and type "Camera" in the search field. Camera is a core Apple app and cannot be deleted, so it must be there somewhere.
An alternate approach is to do Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout -

If it wasn't present the last time you backed up your phone, then you've lost it forever. There's no "trash" on the iPhone that you can "undelete"

If you are trying to drag a song over, do you have Manually Manage Music checked in iTunes? You need to check your iTunes settings before trying to put music on it. It may be that you have it set to sync. Check the Summary page of iTunes after you have selected the iPhone in iTunes.

You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.

<Edited by Host>The problem is your phone was illegally unlocked and jailbroken. When you upgraded it took the unlock off and now it is locked to the original carrier it was locked to. You will not be able to unlock it now.

iPhoto isn't in my applications to I can't drag it to dock. All images and movies are still on Mac (heart did stop as I thought I'd lost everything and nearly cried) but I don't know how to get iPhoto back. I'm worried about trying different things as don't want to lose anything on Mac. Noticed that I haven't been using Time Machine and bought a couple of years ago so not sure what operating with. I'm having trouble with Viber.
A few days ago, I accidentally uninstalled it on my IPhone 4, and reinstalled it later on..
When I tried sending the activation code using the same cell phone number I had on Viber before It got uninstalled, I receive the code but when I try to put it in it keeps saying that I entered the wrong activation code, I click on the no code feature on the top right corner of Viber, it gives me a code, but when I put that code in it says the same thing ,that I have the wrong access code please try again, and so I researched on the internet and came up to this post, It said to uninstall viber and wait 24 hours to install it again, I waited 24hours and tried it again, but it STILL does the same thing. and... I even tried entering my other phone number, yet it does the same thing and shows me the same message that I entered the wrong access code....It is getting frustrating! May you please Help ME?! What can I do?? -

You can't change to 'None' until you clear up the previous payment problem. Add a fresh iTunes gift card, or add a credit card, and then once the billing issue clears, you can choose 'None' again.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed? I would turn on the sidebar and the menu bar just to make sure you are seeing everything. If the iPhone is still not recognized in iTunes, follow these troubleshooting steps:
