IPhone 4 videos stutter

When I share the iP 4 videos to iTunes (960 x 540 setting) they stutter slightly. As if there is some problem with the frame rate. It is most notable in panning. There is no such stutter when I view the original clip.
IP 4 videos are 30 fps. I live in a PAL country where the frame rate is 25 fps. I wonder if that has got something to do with the problem. Though in iM I have tried both the NTSC and PAL settings and get stutter with both settings.

On the MobileMe there's a Help chat, that will get you live assistance for issues with MM. As far as I know these videos are compatible.

  • Iphone 6 videos can't be viewed on ipad photostream

I have an iPhone 6 running iOS8.1.2. I have an iPad4 running iOS8.1.3. I extracted my iPhone 6 video to my PC and tried to sync it into iPad4. However I can't seem to find the video in the iPad 4 photostream. Do anyone have a similar problem?

Thanks. did some further experimenting. I tried to downconvert my iPhone 6 video from 1080p (1920 by 1080) video to 720p (mov) before I sync it with Itunes to iPad. It worked. I can see the 720p video in photos.
2nd experiment: i tried to convert 1080p video from native mov format to 1080p DivX mp4 format. Similarly, this also could not be seen in iPad.
I came to the strange conclusion that iPad4 can't show 1080p videos?? sounds very strange...
Any help is appreciated pls. This is driving me crazy.

your XP should see it as a camera then you open it up find your videos and copy it over to your computer.
Are your videos in your camera roll?

  • Iphone 4 Video and Xbox 360 as my PC's Windows Media Center

I noticed that all video formats play perfectly over my Xbox 360 except for video shot with my iphone 4. It plays the video in slow motion while the audio is at regular speed. It's very annoying. Is their a fix for this or do I just need to convert the iphone 4 videos to h264 mp4, or regular mp4? Any quick fixes so I don't have to do the converting? When I play them on my HP they play just fine. I'm assuming it has something to do with the Xbox 360 not having an updated codec. Any ideas will be tried.
    Thanks

I'm in the same Xbox 360 boat. I'm also amazed at the lack of information on this problem since the iPhone 4 has been out so long and the Xbox 360 received an update long after.
It has to be a codec issue since the Xbox 360 can play 1080p content. The iPhone 4 720p video can't be more intensive than 1080p.
While I'm at it why can't the Xbox 360 play iTunes Plus and iTunes Lossless audio, they're DRM free (I use Connect360 to get around the issue)? Seriously, Microsoft has to be doing it on purpose. Every attempt I've made to get this question answered has been met with a MS wall.

  • How to extract iPhone 4 video?!

A friend took an iPhone 4 video of me, but we're having the hardest time getting it off the phone - either using iPhone Explorer to my MBP, or regular Apple sync to her MBP.  We can play the video on the phone, but have been unable to see it or extract it from any computer.
Having a nice video camera is great, but how do we get the videos off so we can use them? Totally stumped.
    Thanks for any insights.

Thanks so much - mission accomplished.
The confusion in my mind, clarified by your responses, is that iPhone 4 manages video with the tools used (and named) for still photos, yet the default still photo behavior (to automatically sync) does not seem to apply to video.
    Anyway, now I know.

  • How can I import iphone 4 videos to iMovie 09?

I tried different ways to import my videos from iphone 4 (.mov) to iMovie 09 but I had no success. I transfer the video to my iMac using image capture, then try to import the video to iMovie, but seems iMovie does not recognize the video format .mov from the iphone 4. Can anyone tell me how can I do this?
Thanks a lot for the help

I have no problems with iphone 4 video, have you edited it on the phone or anything.

  • Iphone 5 video playback problems over quicktime?

ive recently got a new laptop, pre windows 8, and downloaded quicktime pro in order to play my iphone videos right side up because windows media player will play them upside down alot of the time. something i immeadiately noticed was that all my videos from my iphone 5, when played back via quicktime, have a big judder/skip in them every 2 seconds whereis all my iphone 4 videos playback no problem. the few videos i have that are recorded right side up from my iphone 5, because of orientation of the phone during recording, play perfectly fine on windows media player so this this leads me to believe it is a quicktime issue. i have updated to the latest quicktime just a few days ago with hopes of it being corrected but no such luck. im curious if anyone else is having this same problem or knows a fix? also if anyone knows how to flip videos with quicktime so i can just watch them on windows media would be great also. i found a write up how to do it but everytime i try it, after i save it it just reverts back to its orgional orientation. thanks for any help, Jamie

Add me to the list of people having this problem.
I'm running Macbook on 10.5.8. Quicktime is 7.6.9, in case this has any bearing on things.
OK......I just searched a few places and came up with this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perian
It's called Perian, and it's one of a few different options you could use to solve this problem....I just installed it (free), and now the videos play without a hitch. It's a plug-in for Quicktime.  There are others that can supposedly do the same thing--look around and give it a shot.
(Also, supposedly this Perian is no longer in open development, and may not work with the newest Quicktime update for the newest Macs, but, like I said, there are other options out there that may work for you instead.)
I have a feeling my problem may have been due to my particular Quicktime/Macbook setup being a bit outdated, but who knows?
    Good luck!

  • Does iPhone do Video Out via video cables?

I can't find any reference to this in the iPhone user guide, so I'm guessing it can't, but I thought I'd ask here.

  • HD clips have video stutter after import

New problem with Sony HDR-SR5 import:
2 of 10 clips from recent vacation have video stutter/jerkiness upon import. All other clips are fine. The two clips that stutter in iMovie 08 play fine on the videocamera. I have never seen this before. I have reimported the abnormal clips, but no change. The audio is okay; it is just the video Any ideas?
    Mark

*How comforting* ( for me alas ) to find I'm not alone with this problem.
    Config: iMac-Intel - 2,16MHz, 1Go RAM, 320Go internal drive, 500Go USB external drive, OS-X 10,4,11 ( Tiger ) IMovie 7,1,1, SONY HDR-SR5E
My first few imports worked fine, then Imovie started to quit and 2 other movie sequences were corrupted ( stuttering image ) no matter how long they lasted or which HDD I decided to store them to.
Apparently other posters have signaled this to Apple, but that unfortunately does not help us getting on with our respective work.
It would seem there are only 2 solutions while we wait -
FCE = hand in wallet, or
Just copy the files from the SONY directly to a HDD location and wait for the Imovie issue to be solved.
Maybe unplug my Firewire Presonus Firebox ?????
All futher comments and possible work-arounds welcome naturally.

  • FCP video stutter

I am running FCP 6.0.6 on my MacBook Pro (2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3) and saving all my projects on an external hard drive. I've tried to search for this problem but haven't been able to locate a solution:
I am getting video stutter on both my external monitor as well as my viewer window in FinalCut. The external monitor stutters when I play from the time line, but the canvas window looks fine. I tried trashing my preferences but the problem remains. What else can I try?
I also can't update from Apple as I do not have my serial number.
    Thanks for any help.
    -Patrick

You don't give any details about your video format or sequence settings etc. so you could be using something completely inappropriate.
Have you trashed all the prefs completely? http://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm
Does the problem appear in your final output . . . . DVDs, the web etc.? If not it does not really matter.

  • IPhone 6 Videos app won't rotate

    Hi Everyone,
Recently, my iPhone 6 Videos apps is stuck in landscape mode and won't rotate the screen.
Symptoms: the iPhone refuses to rotate the display in Videos. All other apps rotate fine.
Toggling orientation lock makes no difference. Portrait lock, standard view, adjusting compass, restart and restore didn't fix the problem.
    Has anyone else seen this?

    Restore as new.

  • Why does iPhone 4 video flip?

I am having an issue with iPhone 4 video. I record myself using the rear camera in landscape mode (holding it sideways), and when I play it on my iPhone, on my Macbook Quicktime, in iMovie and in Final Cut Express, it's always right side up. When I export it out of iMovie or Upload it through iMovie to iTunes it is right side up, but when I export it out of Final Cut Express, it is upside down on my Mac, and after uploading it to YouTube. I went into the timeline in Final Cut and while in the program it looks upright, as soon as I export it it is upside down. I even went into the Timeline, went to the motion tab and flipped it 180 degrees so that in Final Cut it is upside down (the theory being that if it looked right side up the first time and export as upside down, making it upside down should make it render right side up) but it STILL exports upside down.
Does anyone have any idea why my iPhone 4 video is exporting out of Final Cut as upside down no matter what I do? Even when every other program shows it and exports it as right side up? I sure hope someone can help.
And just in case it matters, I recorded my video with the rear camera, while sideways, so that the camera is in the bottom left of the back of the phone that is facing me. Should I be holding it so the camera is at the top right of the back of the phone that is facing me? I wouldn't think that it would matter at all because of the accelerometer, but this is really annoying. I don't want to have to start editing in iMovie just so that my movies come out right side up. I hope I'm not the only person this is happening to! Thanks!

Lacking any other response, all I can suggest is that you try both ways.  Describe your rotation/camera lens position by where the Home button is when you view and record your movie.
Make one moive with the Home button on the right as you look into the viewer window.
Mke the second movie with the home button on the left.  Make this a different subject.
These movies don't have to be very long.  Just get enough so you have something to import into FC, then export.
It's far easier to start out right than to have to correct for errors.
If both turn out upside down, I have no answer.
