Iphone 4 when on vibrate... You can barely feel it compared to my 3GS.
Anyone else notice this? My 3GS easily vibrates twice as hard when in my pocket, compared to the Iphone 4.

Since iOS 7.1 is current, and you say you have the current software on your iPhone, I wonder if you are running an old version of iTunes on your computer. Current is 11.1.5.

I saw something similar with my 4 TB Promise SmartStor NAS after I upgraded to Lion. Only, I had ALL of my iTunes library on the NAS and one day, about a week after the upgrade I finally tried to play music with iTunes, but it kept throwing up an error just like the one you're seeing. I searched around for a while and finally found some steps that fixed the problem.
I found this solution at another site (can't remember which) that gave credit to this site:

Here are the directions I cut-n-pasted into my little notes file:
1) Launch the Terminal app
2) Run this command:
sudo chmod o+w /Library/Preferences
3) Run this command:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_host_prefs_version -int 1
4) Restart your computer
5) From Finder, select an AFP server, or use “Connect To…”
This will cause the AFP Client to create the full preferences file
6) Launch the Terminal app again
7) Run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks) (yes, some of the spelling looks weird):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array "Cleartxt Passwrd" "MS2.0" "2-Way Randnum exchange"
8) Run this command:
sudo chmod o-w /Library/Preferences
9) Restart your computer
To disable this hack, run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array-add "DHCAST128"

sounds like ur ipod's mic is blocked with something check the back on the ipod near the back camera

Is there a way to "unsync" your iPhone from one computer so you can sync it to a new one?

I had connected my iphone to a family member's computer simply to upgrade my software, and now I have a new macbook pro and it wants to delete all of my apps that are on my phone and replace them with what was on it at the time that I did the upgrade. You can copy the iTunes folder from one computer to the other, that will transfer all of your phone settings as well.

EA Games ran a great promotion over the holidays that offered free iphone/ipod and ipad games. I won a few but have not been able to access the games due a weird bug. Everytime I attempt to redeem the code on my iphone in the app store or via Itunes app a pop-up appears "before you can make purchases, you must tap Continue to sign in, then verify your payment info." I'd happily click the continue button if there was one. But there isn't. I click on for the pop-up to move on and I'm back at the screen that asks me to redeem. Which I do and the pop-up returns. I'm fully logged in my payment method works for other app purchases or updates but not these EA codes. Very odd.

Any good iPhone cases out there that you can buy online?

I'm looking for quality because I only want to buy a case once. But my two favorites.... incase and otterbox are both way behind, not even having a release date for their iPhone 4 products.

I bought the iFrogz luxe and love it! I actually bought one for my 3GS model about 8 months or so ago. It's felt held up great. I wear cargo pants and slide my phone in and out of the side pocket all day long and the only wear on the case is the bottom corners. My old case (can't remember who made it now) wore out in a month.
First thing I did on the 24th was to go buy me a iFrogz Luxe case for my iPhone 4. Only disappointing part on it was, I couldn't find it in purple! LOL They have them online in purple (now) but I could only get it in blue at Best Buy! Now AT&T's site shows and cool pink and purple one, but it is not showing up as available to buy yet. As soon as it is, I'm getting it too! LOL
As you can tell, I highly recommend the iFroqz Luxe!

Ok, when you go to the Content menu, you see a list of files which are set to open with a particular program by default.
To change the application, click the one which is assigned to it already and then from the dropdown menu which appears, click the bottom option called "Use Other".
This will open a menu where you'll see another set of apps you can use to open the file with. If Microsoft Word is not in the list, click the "Browse" button and then navigate to the folder containing Word.exe. I don't have it on my system, but I believe you'll find it in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Word

Apple doesn't "fix" iPhones. They replace the entire phone. Apple also does not sell parts, so if you're going to attempt some kind of repair yourself, keep in mind that all the parts you can get are either counterfeit, stolen, or salvaged from non-working phones.

You cannot change the screen. Try resetting the SMC. If that does not help, take it in for diagnosis.

Office 2013 - Is there a way to when installing that you can change the default save location without having to configure it within the client?

So, What I am trying to do is deploy Office 2013 throughout our company, and I do not want the users to save their business or personal files created within Office 2013 on the C: drive or Sky Drive. We have what is called the U: drive and I'd like to know
if there's a quick registry tweak that I can use to not only change the default location upon setting up a computer, but to deploy through Group Policy?
One other question perhaps; Is there a way to change not only the file location to default to only the one place, but also is there a way to also set a specific size limit to folders and prevent certain files from being saved (videos and personal pictures).
I have our network pretty tight as to what or who can go where, and what not, I am just really for an answer or some help to the default location...anything you have GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Fill in and save when it says you can't

I am applying for jobs and most have PDF applications. Some let you fill them in and save so you can attach to an email. Others do not let you save so I cannot fill in and email but their websites says that’s what they want me to do. Do I have to download something from Adobe to be able to fill and save?

Please download Adobe Reader XI from www.adobe.com if you do not have one on your computer.
Open the downloaded form in PDF format in Adobe Reader then you can fill in the form fields and save it then you can attach the PDF in your email.

IPhone Rattles When Internal Vibrate Mechanism Is Activated

I noticed about a month ago that my iPhone started rattling when the internal vibrate mechanism is activated. Also, when I shake the iPhone, I can hear the internal vibrate mechanism move around. Has anybody else had this problem?

love the new iPhone 3G, but whenever I put the phone on vibrate I get this horrible rattling sound. I doubt a restore will fix it. It only seems to happen when the phone is up vertically, laying it down it's fine.
Any ideas on what to do? I can't take it back yet as the UK is practically out of stock.

Yea. Mine does too. This is the 3rd time I've gotten a deffective iPhone. I'm afraid to go back to the store and tell them this one's broken too. And they all have been something differen't which is so wierd. I'm gonna call applecare and see what they can do
