Iphone 4 wont sync to itunes anymore. Itunes opens then a message comes up saying I need to restore it. I want to avoid doing this as I've noticed some of my purchases since updating itunes are missing from computer but they are on my phone.
I have reset my phone, put the latest updates on itunes and iphone and thought it might work then, but no luck. I am trying to avoid restoring it as I dont want to loose the data I have purchased that is missing off my itunes since I updated that. I'm not sure how to contact itunes to get my data put back on my itunes on computer. All my purcahsed data from itunes still comes up on my phone as it hasnt been able to sync to the update. DOes anyone know how to contact itunes to have bought data re-put back on. It comes up in my itunes acocount with the date and purchase number but these items are missing from my itunes purcahsed items. Weird?
I am on an imac. Is there anyway I can get around the issue of syncing again or should I just restore once I have contacted itunes about them deleting my paid for items! I feel very ripped off, its like buyoing something from target and having the manager come to your house and retrieve it! lol

No. Quit and try again. If that fails again,
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

When I want to get an app, an error message comes up saying I need 3.0 software update. How do I get my ipod updated in itunes, when itunes says my ipod is already updated?
OR if I cannot update to software 3.0, how can I find apps that will work just for my ipod touch?It sounds like you have a 1G iPod Touch, in which case you can only upgrade to iOS version 3.1. Here is a link to purchase the update.

I have a 4s iPhone which I loaded the new Os on last night. Now I can not connect to iTunes. A message comes up saying i need 10.6.3 or later but I am running 10.6.1 as I have an older Mac. Anyone have ideas how to get this to work?
Its not telling you to update your iPad, its telling you you need to download a recent version itunes on your computer.

Hello, well im having some problems with my ipod 4th gen it will not turn on and when i plug it in to itunes it will not come up saying i need to restore. when i try that it will not complet. the ipod will not do anything at all... please help me i havent got extra money to spend..

got m new iphone 4s ive set it up on itunes but i want to put more music on and when i plug it in it just says waiting to sync and the after about a min a message comes up with iphone cant sync because time is too long or something similar.
This happens to me from time to time using the Wifi sync (on both the iPad and iPhone). If wifi has worked before but stopped working, try "Forgetting Network" on the device and rejoining the network.

Hi All and Happy New Year!
I purchased a new iphone 4s just before Christmas, and have yet to get it to sync completely with my itunes. I downloaded the newest itunes to my PC, plugged in my new phone and itunes stops responding. Typically i get to step 5, where the phone is syncing my apps. Mainly I'd like to sync my itunes music to my phone. I am using the icloud to backup my contacts and calendar.
I have removed itunes, and reinstalled, but still no luck.
Any thoughts?

Iphone ISO7 wont sync to itunes with OS X 10.5.8
After installing ISO7 via wifi onto my phone the other day I thought I best sync it to my computer to update everything. Now it wont sync due to it needing itunes11.1 minimum???
Other threads have said you need Leopard 10.6 to sync but have to buy it!!!! No way in **** should I (or any member of public) have to pay because apple updated there software. Thats a grade 1 joke!!! If thats the case i'd rather have ISO6 back as it was better looking in any case.
I havent obviously connect it to itunes as im unable so im thinking if I whipe my phone and reconnect it to itunes as a new phone it may just install the old itunes from backup and all be ok but anyone have any suggestions on how else to get over this without paying more into the apple pocket???????
xIs your problem that you do not see your iPod in iTunes? If that is the case try these:

Also, make sure you update to the latest iTunes and Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is now up to 10.6.5 and you said you only have 10.6.3. -

Try disabling automatic importing to iPhoto: open iPhoto, go to Preferences, on the General tab change Camera Connection Opens to No Application. Close iPhoto and try syncing again.
