Contacted apple support and not in any hurry to resolve this I am not happy at all

6 GB iPod Mini discharges when plugged into Mac Mini via USB 2.0 hub
I have a 6 GB iPod Mini and when i connect it to my computer, instead of charging, it discharges. The iPod is connected to a self powered USB 2.0 hub. Does anybody have any ideas of what to do. I need a hub because the Mac Mini only has 2 USB ports and the keyboard and mouse don't work through the hub (well the keyboard it self does but the hub doesn't which the Mighty Mouse is plugged into)
ThanksWhen i say self powered i mean that it has an external power supply (my hub it has two lights, when it is connected to USB and has p\s connected and plugged in a light lights up that has the word "Self" next to it, when it is connected just to USB it has a light that lights up with the word "Bus" next to it.) I am sorry if i confused you (or if i confused myself). About the firewire thing, i am planning to get the next normal iPod Apple releases but the current ones dont support firewire so the new one probably wont either, so i will be in the same boat as i am now when i get a new one.

I have an Apple iphone 4. It will import my photos but when I am in Windows Media Centre and want to sync music it asks me to Connect a Device when my phone is already connected. I have been able to do this in the past but for some reason this fault has just begun Do you know the reason for this?
Are you certain that it is locked to Orange?
Regardless, Apple does not lock devices, carriers do.
If the carrier refuses to unlock the device there is nothing that can be done. -
My Ipod touch 3g will turn on with the cable attached, it will sync with Itunes. But as soon as I touch the screen to unlock it, I get no response to the touch and it immediately crashes. Also everytime I unplug it I have to restore it to a new Ipod to get it to sync. Is the battery bad? The battery meter says its full too. Or any I looking a host of different problems. Could the logic board be bad?

I followed the instructions when I plugged in my iPhone 4s to do a backup on my Mac. I was then prompted to update carrier settings by going to Settings>General>About. I did as instructed and nothing was new, even though I was advised to update as soon as I plugged into my Mac for a backup. Does this just mean that it tells all iPhone users to check for any available updates just in case ?Updating carrier settings isn't the same as updating iOS. You don't get any new or different features. It just affects, ostensibly for the better, how your phone connects with your carrier's network.

What troubleshooting have you tried? Try a reset, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. If it does not, then you need to try and restore via iTunes. Try connecting the phone to the computer and iTunes and see if it is recognized. My iPhone 4s is stuck on a black screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. The phone will not turn on and the iTunes logo as I described only shows up when I plug the phone into the charger or my computer. I have tried the reset in restore mode as well as the DFU? mode and it still will not work. I have the latest version of iTunes on my Mac. My error code was 2002. I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.
Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

My iPhone won't stop vibrating when plugged into my Macbook. All software is up to date. iTunes just gives me an error. No problems when plugged into a PC. Why the nonstop vibrating!?
When I connect it to my iMac (with up-to-date OS X Yosemite 10.9.5) - it doesn't work.
Specifically - iTunes automatically launches, but then quickly shows a dialog window that says, "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone. This device is no longer connected."
Meanwhile - on my iPhone - in the upper right-hand corner (where the battery life is displayed) - you can see the "plugged in" icon (lightening bolt) rapidly blinking on and off.
In other words - it seems like, when it's plugged in - it's rapidly connecting and disconnecting (several times per second).
If I click "OK" on that dialog window on iTunes - it instantly pops back up, and continues to do so as long as I keep the iPhone plugged in.
I have tried all and stile did not resolve my problem. I tried to restart both devices, try different cable (I have original cable). Both devices are new and software's are update it on latest versions.

I was in the process of putting another firmware for my iPhone(an .ipsw via. itunes) and the house had a power cut. The computer was in the middle of restoring the iPhone but never finished. The apple logo came on and then came onto the 'connect to itunes' screen. My sim card was in but there is no option to slide for emergency. When I Plug it into my computer, a message pops up saying that the 'USB Device Not Recognized', I've tried to plugging my iPhone into my laptop and other Computers but the same message occurs (all windows 7). Other articles say that the error is with the iPhone, I need help!! Can anybody offer some advice on what to do?

1. I tried connecting it to itunes for a system reset and it didnt work.
2. The phone wont even turn on!!!If the phone wont turn on it sounds like it needs to be charged. Plug it into a charger and wait about 15 minutes and try turning it on while still charging. Have you tried holding in your home button with the on/off button held in? Hold them both together until the apple logo comes up and then release them. The screen will blink off an on while it is resetting. I still think this is a battery issue. Good luck~

Why does my iPhone 4 lose 3G signal when plugged into the TV with the AV Adapter?
When I plug in my iPhone 4 (Verizon) or my husband's iPhone 4 (AT&T) to watch Netflix, Netflix stalls and the 3G signal disappears. I have tried connecting the adapter both before and after entering the application. I believe the digital AV adapter and HDMI cable are fine, because I have no problem seeing output from my iPad 2.
When I plug in the adapter, the 3G signal will disappear shortly thereafter. The red Netflix screen will appear on the TV, but 9 times out of 10 it will go no further. One time it stayed on the red screen, but I heard the audio from the movie. Another time it showed the movie for 10 seconds, then stopped. When I unplug my iPhone, it will take a while to regain the 3G signal.I had the same issue in my 2012 Nissan Altima. It was a function in my car's stero settings. I had to go to the car's iPhone/iPod settings when the iPhone was plugged into the USB. My settings come up automatically when I plug in and I can scroll through the commands to "Shuffle" songs.
