IPhone 4s and Sim failure and No service issue

Ok,
Few days back I asekd questions regarding few other issues with iPhone 4s. here is it, https://discussions.apple.com/message/17068754#17068754
Few gentlemen told me, to replace sim card. Here is what I did,
1) I am from India. I was using Vodafone 3g micro sim. Everyday, 4-5 times in the ideal mode I got messages like Sim failure and invalid sim. I have to restart my iPhone everytime. Then only it was working.
2) I posted the question, people said its my card problem
3) I bought new BSNL 3G micro sim card for iPhone. I inserted the card and got 3G working.
4) After 3 hours, I saw No service message. I waited for some time, i went to outside to see if it was a network issue. Nothing changed.
5) I rebooted my iPhone, it immediaetly picked the network.
6) After few hours, again it lost and said no service.
7) I then didn't rebooted it.
8) In the morning, I saw Sim Failure and invalid sim message. Useless
9) I now rebooted and Sim is working with 3G network.
Now please ,
is this iPhone issue? It is for sure. I am tired now. Battery is dying and with this Sim Failure and No service, I am totally disappointed.

I read all your messages above , I am facing the same problem as u faced.
My Iphone 4S and it was working fine (5.0) until i upgrade to 5.0.1(9A406).
Now I am facing alot of network issues. I get messages liek NO Sim , SIM FAILURE.
I even restored the sowftware from ITUNES but i am still facing the same problem.
I was using Vodafone first but I heard that due to problem in micro sim reader of Iphone 4s i shd use a 128 K or 64 K sim.. Since only Airtel provided 64K sim ...I installed that in my phone. But still i am facing the same issue.
I would appreciate if you can tell me whats Tweaked version of 5.0.1.
the current software installed on my phone is 5.0.1 (9A406).

Looks like the Sim card had a catastrophic failure. Burnout, short somethng like that.
You can try to take out the tray and reseat the sim card inside and see if that gets it back.
Also try resetting the phone at least once by holding down the home and power buttons until the Apple Logo shows up.
If none of this works you'll have to contact your cell carrier to get a new sim card, as it probably fried and is no longer functional.

SIM Failure contact your service provider?

I have a newly purchased Dell E6420 with the DW5800 4G (LTE-3G) Mobilebroadband card embedded. I downloaded and installed the VZ Access Manager Version 7.6.6.5 which applies to the installed card.
While activating I am getting a SIM Failure contact your service provider. Help....

If you are having issues deleting a specific message from an iMessage conversation (not seeing the Trash icon), you may want to double-check that you are following the steps outlined in the following article:
How do I delete a message?
To delete a message, tap and hold the message bubble, then tap More.
Tap Delete All to delete all the messages. Or tap to select the messages you want to delete, then tap .
After you delete a message, you can recover it only by restoring from a backup.

I just got an iphone 5 and have two issues:
1) trying to set it up with the handsfree bluetooth builtin to my Prius. My previous iphone 4 had no problems. I go through the steps to pair it, my boothtooth is enables in the phone, the car gives me a 4 digit code and then searches but it looks like my phone doesn't pick it up. Eventually, the car gives up searching.
2) I had to enter a passcode when I was setting up my phone. I didn't realize what it was asking at the time and I now want to change my password. I have tried but it isn't letting me change it. How do I cnage the password for my phone? This is the password that is requested when my phone isn't used for a period of time (2 minutes).

1) Try turning on the Bluetooth on your iPhone around the time the car gives you the 4 digit code.
2) Check Settings > General > Passcode Lock to change the code.

May be your carrier but try a reset:
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears

Reminder Syncing Between iPhone 4 and new iPad Issues.

Good day to everyone.
I am currently facing some issues with the reminder syncing within iphone 4 and iPad 4th generation. The date and time of the reminder couldn't sync to either Ipad or iphone, the rest of the details is fine. So right now, I've to use the reminder without any internet or data connectivity. If i switch on, the date and time will dissapear.
Please advise me on this. Your assistances is much very appreciated.

Iphone 4 and itunes syncing issues

Not sure if this is an itunes issue or iphone4 + itunes issue
So got the new iphone4 and was able to activate, restore backup and sync additional song and videos. After the second or third sync, Itunes started to crash my windows xp when syncing started. I tried syncing with ipod and iphone 3g to see if it was an itunes issue, but they sync fine. Anyone experiencing this or have any thoughts?

Same happening with me, though I can't find the source of what's causing mine to crash. I have not yet synced any music to my iPhone4 so it can't be that. I've deleted my Winnie-the-Pooh book (which i had read elsewhere to be the source) and any free apps that I thought might be the cause too but still, itunes crashes when it starts "backing up iphone".
Can anyone help??
Have just turned my iPhone off and back on again, and deleted an app that I remembered didn't work 100% and now iTunes doesn't crash!

Xcelsius and Reporting Services issue

I'm having problems with the integration of xcelsius and Reporting Services.
i need to install in the server the XRS (xcelsius Reporting Services) correct? I also need to change the Web.config to tell the XRS the location of the reports?
After the installation of the XRS what do i need to config more to make it work with the reporting services?
Can the XRS extract information of Reporting Services Store Procedures?

Iphone 6&6+/iOS 8.x "No Service" issues

I did see few threads on the forum about older iOS devices (old iphones, ipads) and newer iPhones having this cellular network service drop issue but there isn't any real solution to resolve these on any of them.
I have the same problem with my new iPhone 6 (setup by restoring a backup from my old iPhone 5s) and my sis's new iPhone 6+ (new setup) both running iOS 8.x.
I understand from the earlier threads that Apple did not yet acknowledge this issue as a widespread problem, which is ridiculous. I have taken few pictures and even uploaded a video of this happening on my new iPhone 6 http://youtu.be/xI-XK247dRo
I am regretting my upgrade to 6 and buying an addition 6+ for full price. Such a waste of time and money. I am still within the 14 day period. I am contemplating return of these unless Apple acknowledges the problem and clarifies if its an OS issue and not a hardware issue.
Has anyone found any real solution or official response from Apple about this?

yes I was low on battery when I took that picture, here is another picture that shows the issue has nothing to do with the battery juice. My carrier is AT&T.
Check out the video as well from my post that shows more power in the battery and the network coming back.

HT4994 woke up this morning and iPhone 4s says SIM failure

my phone went to bed with me...plugged her in, and woke up to a triangle with an explanation mark in the middle...now it says Invalid Sim....i havent done a thing yet to the phone, but what should i do?

Why don't you start by re-booting the phone, removing and re-inserting the SIM, etc.
If that fails to clear it up, get a new SIM from your carrier.

Need Help with Signal and No Service Issue

I switched out my phone Saturday after Genius ran diagnostic and said it was a hardware issue dropping so many calls. I also got a new Sim card in the newest series. I was feeling good and confident until I went to work and the signal dropped to No Service and remained that way all day. I called At&t and was treated rather rudely by a supervisor, who said that maybe I should find a different carrier, because I seem to be a problem customer. (I guess for reporting issues.) I don't know what to do anymore. He told me to take the replacement back to Apple and have them test it again. Can anyone help me?

IPhone, iCal and Entourage sync issue

When syncing iPhone, my iCal is updated correctly, however the updates do not make it into Entourage. But when changes are made in Entourage, they make back it into iCal and iPhone
In iCal, the iPhone updates go into a calendar named "Calendar", the Entourage updates go into a calendar named "Entourage". These two calendars appear to be created as part of the sync process.
It appears when syncing, Entourage is only pulling up the "Entourage" calendar and ignoring the "Calendar" calendar, which contains my iPhone data. iPhone appears to pull in both calendar's data.
I've used the merge data selection when asked about syncing.
Any thoughts on how can I correct either Entourage or iCal to upload all calendars into Entourage?

I had just the same issue - sometime after installing iPhone OS 3.0 my Entourage Calendar in iCal stopped syncing, though the calendar in Entourage remained intact and continued to sync with the Exchange server. After going through all of the "sync services reset" protocols I could find, I finally got it to work by clearing the Entourage Calendar Cache. Before doing this, turn off "sync services" in Entourage preferences and make sure your Exchange calendar is synced with the exchange server because this will erase your local version of the Exchange calendar. Next, "control-click" on the calendar folder icon (this is the calendar icon with a green circle with a white check mark that appears when you expand the arrow to the left of your server account name at the top of the left column of a calendar window - above "Folders on My Computer"), select "Folder Properties" then "Empty" cache. After you do this, your calendar data will disappear and repopulate from the exchange server. This took a while for me. Once the data reappeared, it became apparent that there were some duplicated recurring events that were cluttering up the calendar even though not previously displayed. I fixed these, then turned "sync services" back on in Entourage preferences. The "Entourage" calendar in iCal repopulated after a few minutes and I was back in business. To clean things up, I also had to delete a couple of extra "Entourage" calendars in the iCal list that had no events. Don't know if this will work for your problem but it fixed mine. Good Luck.

Anybody else billing and customer service issues?

I recently was charged $100+ over my usual monthly charge. When I asked for an explanation VW could not provide an explanation and they could not adjust the charge because there was no supervisor available at that time. They apologized because their policy is to solve all issues in one call and said I would receive a call back the next day. I never heard back from them, so I called VW 3 days later again and then they told me that I was charged for using my phone overseas, which I didn't (I have 2 phones, one from work with T-Mobile which I did use to avoid the overage charges on my VZ phone). Because I was not satisfied with their conflicting explanations (the first conversation with them they could not explain the overage charges) and I had to chase them around to get one, I refused to pay my bill until we could come to a satisfactory solution. I never heared from them again and now I am being charged late fees. I am so over VW. I feel they adjust their customer service level depending on if you are under contract or not and how long is left under the contract. Friends have already moved to T-Mobile and are very satisfied and so am I with my T-Mobile work phone (not to mention the $$ you save with T-Mobile). I think I'm ready for the switch after 10+ years VW.

i bought an Iphone 4s from ebay and got trick into buying a scam i got the iphone but when i got the phone in has a erased icloud acccount on it and i contacted the owner they told me they never had an icloud account so i am stuck with an iphone thats is link to their account and doesnt wish to to tell me the info to my iphone so i can unlink it from their account and use it can you guys please help me i got the password to it but no icloud account info . thank have a nice day
