at 1%
now at about 9:50 pm the problem is arising again . pls help

Well, most of what you did is black magic, and has nothing to do with battery drain. But we have no way of knowing how your battery life is below what you think it should be. What are you using it for, what apps do you have, and how much Usage life do you get (settings/general/usage).

  • IPhone 4s battery suddenly drained and won't hold a charge

This afternoon the battery on my iPhone 4s suddenly began to show that my battery was drained, then shut off completely and won't charge. I've tried holding down the home button for longer than a minute and I've tried holding down the home button and the power button at the same time but it still won't turn on. I've also tried leaving the phone to charge without touching it. This is my second replacement phone (which means it's my third iPhone 4s) and I only got it in October. It's hard to believe that it's the battery when it's relatively new, but I know that's a possibility. Anyone have any suggestions of what else I should try before I go into the Apple store yet again for a phone issue?

Ok, thanks for that info. Well I know this probably isn't what your going to want to hear, not that it's necassarily bad advice. I would suggest taking your phone into your nearest Apple Store, make an appointment with the Genius Bar first (it will just make things go smoother). The overheating/dying battery thing is a known problem. They'll either send your phone into get fixed, or you'll get a new phone. Just make sure to do a backup (in iTunes) first, as that way you'll have the most recent info to sync to should they replace your phone.
You can also call 1(800)MY-IPHONE. see if they have any ideas, but I think you'll find they'll reccomend the same thing.

  • Iphone 5 battery suddening draining when not in use

Had my iphone 5 for about 3 months and was very pleased with the battery life. But literally out of no where the battery started draining super fast. Dropping 15% in 30 minutes when not in used. Here's the deal...nothing has changed ie locations, email, icloud etc. And quite honestly what is the freaking point of having those things if it drains the battery at unreasonable speeds. So I completely frustrated with Apple for at least not saying "we understand theres and issue and we are working on it." I will never switch cuz I'm an idiot Apple diehard but there have been so many bugs of late it's just frustrating. Also at the same time of the fast drain when I swipe to delete a text the delete button dissapears within one second. Both issues came on at the same time. I'm trying reseting the battery, restoring, unchecking notifications and a bunch of other features which is so stupid... whats the point of having a smart phone if you can't use the features? So I am going to demand a new phone and I know the Apple Genius guys who are so far from genius its pathetic are going to say nothing is wrong with the phone haha, just like the did with the super slow WiFi connections I get...they were completely unaware that there was a problem with iphones and Wifi cuz of course at the Apple Store the Wifi flies when they test it there but of course once you go back to your home or business the Wifi is back to super slow. Wow the things we put up with. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions please reply.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Z410 Battery Suddenly Drops From 100% to 0%

I have had my Lenovo IdeaPad Z410 since around January, and I have just recently expierienced the problem of the battery dropping to zero. What happens is my battery will be draining at a normal pace then all of a sudden my laptop will shut down and will not go back on as it thinks the battery is dead. If it is plugged when this happens then the orange battery low light will begin flashing and the message goes from saying "Fully charged (100%)" to "1% remaining (plugged in, charging)". This is quite annoying as I cannot take my laptop anywhere without fear of it randomly dying on me. I would assume I wouldn't need a new battery after only having the laptop for a few months. Also, if you are not familiar with this model, the battery is built in internally so I cannot try removing it and putting it back in myself. Any advice would be appreciated; I'd rather not deal with Lenovo's customer support unless I absolutely have to.

    hi LordMothim,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Based from your findings, it's possible that:
    - the battery circuit inside is not working to unload the charge, or
    - one of the battery cells have already reached its life span
    - the chip that handles how the battery gets charge/discharge and checks the charge level of each battery cell (both are controlled by a firmware) is malfunctioning.
Batteries degrade overtime due to heat and daily use. If you're still under warranty, I recommend you contact lenovo and report the issue as you most likely need a replacement battery.

Whoever replaced the back could have messed it up, you should get a new phone.

  • HT2188 IPHONE 4S BATTERY RUNNING DOWN QUICKLY

iPhone 4s battery suddenly runs down in under 2 hours of non-active (standby) use.  No idea why, this just started happening a few days ago - no new apps put in to cause this, all location services turned off, no push mail -- have done all the standard checks.  Also, the battery isn't accepting a charge from outlets plugged into the wall (only ones into the computer)--I get the lightning bolt signal at the top right, but the charge simply continues to drop.  Anyone have similar issues?

Take it to an Apple Store to be checked out.

  • All of a sudden this morning my iphone will not send imessages from my phone number but only from my email address. When I go to the settings for my imessages to choose where they are coming from my phone number is greyed out....Is there a way to fix this

All of a sudden this morning my iphone will not send imessages from my phone....

    Hi Chas869,
Hmm, that is strange that your phone number is greyed out. There are a few things that we can try. First would be to turn iMessages off, then back on. See if you are able to select your phone number. Then if that doesn't work, turn iMessages back off, then reset the network settings....settings>general>reset>reset network settings, this will reboot the phone. Don't worry, it won't delete anything from the phone, it simulates a battery pull. Once the device comes back on, then turn iMessages back on. Keep us posted if that works!

  • IPhone 4S excessive battery life drainage?

My iPhone 4S (that I purchased from Best Buy) had a problem with the volume buttons so the very nice man at the Genius Bar replaced it for me. I do not know if the phone was refurbished or new; he said "no one has ever used it" but did not answer my question fully. Either way, I've noticed a MARKED difference in battery drainage. I've tried everything to improve it, by turning off Bluetooth, wifi when not needed, many of my notifications, location services, turned down brightness, etc. but nothing! The battery life is draining about 10% an hour and I use my phone frequently, so I need it. It's 9:40 AM now,  my phone was on 100% at 7:30 and it is now on 78%. Everything else is fine but the battery life is crap! Any similar situations? Troubleshooting? Should I bring it to the Genius Bar and have them run a diagnostic?

Did you transfer the backup for your iPhone that was exchanged?
If so, try restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup to see if this makes any difference.
If not, make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • Iphone battery suddenly finishes

My iphone battery is 16% remaining and suddenly phone swtiches off due to low battery. When I put the charger the charging starts from 16% again. Please telle me how to solve this. I have iphone 4s with ios 5.01

Device: iPhone 4 32GB, OS 4.3.1, never jailbreaked, data roaming always off
Same to me - at home in Austria no problems, standard battery runtimes.
During a one week trip to Dubai beginning with second day of stay my iPhone 4 battery lasted only for 6-7 hours without being used, I also observed hot temperature of the device and slow (sometimes hanging for seconds) operation.
As it was obvious to me that some app (from apple or third party) was running "hot" in the background, I tried to kill every running application by doing the following:
Safari clearing, deleting of local travel guide apps, killing all running apps in background via multitasking, shut-off of localization function, wifi, 3g, data connection, activation of flight mode, restart and reset of iPhone - without success.
Back to Vienna everything was fine again.
This was repeated during a trip to Jordan 3 months later. But I noticed that when the iPhone was connected to the hotel´s wireless lan the battery drain was interrupted, after leaving the hotel, it started again, not immediately but for sure after various periods (1 hour, 3 hours).
In both cases I did not switch off the the email app (connected with two exchange accounts including email, calendar, contacts) - although I meanwhile suspect it beeing the guilty one. Next time I will try the email account switch off method (including calendar and contact account sync).
Interestingly during the first trip two colleagues (1x iPhone 3GS, 1x iPhone 4, both with switched-on exchange accounts in email app) did not whitness battery drain on their iPhones (but I think they did have data roaming activated).
Anyway, very annoying / unacceptable to run out of battery during a private or business trip.
If this was caused by the build-in email app Apple should really have a look on this.

  • Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on.

Hi I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly it stopped working. Could here notifications and nothing on the diisplay. Wake up  button on top is not working. so unable to restart the phone. Wanted to try restore from iTunes but Find my iPhone (iCloud) is on. How to recover or restart my Phone

Follow these steps to log into your iCloud account on your computer and deactivate "Find my iPhone" on your device:
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note:    You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note:    If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device. If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account. All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.

My iphone 4 has suddenly ceased to operate with a full battery and switch will not display slider.  How can I reactivate it? Is the memory gone? Will T Mobile replace the memory or the phone if necessary?

    Hello,
If you're in a country where there's an apple shop (unfortunately not mine), go check it and ask the employee about it: he's gonna check your Iphone on a "device"
I've got an iphone 5 and it's working very well with me but I have to admit that its battery lasts (slower) than my Ipad 2.
Still i can help with some tips that may improve your iohone's battery by an hour in addition (hopefully):
    - close all apps by multitasking....
    - do NOT keep the brightness to the max
Believe me you're gonna regret changing your phone to a samsung
Hope i've helped and sorry for my bad english (has english as 3rd language)
