Iphone 4s beeping every 7 seconds

My iphone 4s(running ios 7) has a broken screen and unconnected lcd. when plugged into a computer it connects to itunes and iphoto but beeps every 7 seconds or so and has a blank screen. i was wondering before i replace the screen and lcd if the beeping was becausze of the lcd or yet another problem?

Without a screen you can't see if there's some app running that's making the beeps but my guess is something else is wrong.

My Iphone will not come on, all it does is beep every 2 seconds.

Have you taken any troubleshooting steps?
Start by resetting your iPhone, hold both power and home buttons together for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then let go and wait for iPhone to restart.  You will not lose any information.

my mac book pro 13" 2010 beeps every 5 seconds at start up, will not boot up. Any ideas what is wrong?  Removed and re installed memory, that did not work.

If you're handy with tools, pop the bottom pan on the Mac, take out the RAM sticks, thoroughly clean the contacts on both the sticks and the Mac (blow clean with a compressed air duster on the Mac, use isopropyl alcohol on the contacts on the RAM sticks), reseat and reinstall the sticks and retry. If same, try swapping the RAM sticks. If you need pictorial assistance, see here: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+MacBook+Pro+13-Inch+Unibody+Mid+2010+RAM/ 4319/1

  • My macbook air wont boot up. Just beeps every 5 seconds and a white light flashes on front of keyboard

That normally indicates an issue with system memory. The startup sequence can't complete the boot due to a memory issue. Take it in for service.

  • 4 beeps every 30 seconds

Hi,My  Notebook dv7 A6X02UA#ABA started doing these very annoying 4 short beeps every 30 seconds. If I mute the laptop, then I don't hear it. It started 2 days ago and doesn't seem to stop. The fan looks like it is spinning. Is it the hard drive. So far, the notebook is running ok.I am running Windows 8 64 bits. When I get into the BIOS, the beep doesn't show up.What could it be?Thank you.

  • After a liquid spill my laptop won't turn on but the sleep light goes off with a beep every 5 seconds

It's been 2 weeks since I spilled tea onto the keyboard of my MacBook Pro- now after plugging it in the sleep light lights up and beeps every 5 seconds but will not start up- it has been upside down and powered down since spill

Take it to Apple and ask them to find out what has been damaged by the tea.
The longer you wait the worst the problems will get as the corrsion from the liquid continues to develop.

  • Why is my airport time machine beeping every 30 seconds?

For some reason my airport time machine started to beep every 30 seonds or so.  I down loaded the latest firmware (7.7.2) but still have the two beeps every 30 seconds.
It still seems to back up my MacPro and I have the internet.
    Thanks,
    Rjohnsen9

Find out by opening the status on the airport utility summary page when you highlight the TC. There is no way of figuring it out except via the utility. What does it list is the problem.

  • Alert beep every 2 seconds after latest update

Just installed the latest update and after restart there is an alert beep every 2 seconds! Anyone else experiencing this?

Check the RAM in about your Mac, the beep sometimes indicares trouble. Look at the console report and see of RAM is being allocated correctly. POst back with results.

  • Macbook air suddenly doesnt turn on, gives 1 long beep every 5 seconds

I have been googling and found out there is something wrong with the RAM in my Macbook Air. Suddeny, without anything strange I did, my Macbook Air doesn't go on but stays black and gives a long single beep every 5 seconds. That is really all it does.
Does this really mean all I can do is go to an apple store and get a whole new board?
I hope some of you have alternative answers :-). Many thanks!
What a great week, both my Ipad and Macbook Air are dying....

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. If there are no Apple Stores then call for an appointment or just take it in with you.

  • Macbook Pro, one beep every 3 seconds.

    Hi,
All of a sudden getting one beep every 3 seconds. Reseated the RAM, ried each module alone and reset the PRAM. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello Patrick Campagnone,
Go through the below link as according to the below Apple Support kb " 1 tone, repeating every 5 seconds: This indicates no RAM is installed".
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5860?viewlocale=en_US
If you have an option then also try Interchanging the Ram to a different port as well from where it is currently placed and still if the issue persist as you have already tried with one Ram at a time then the best option would be take a Genius Bar Appointmennt and get your Macbook Checked.

  • Presario sr1820nx will not boot, fans work, get one beep every 3 seconds.

Was working on computer for a while. Shut down and after about an hour moved system to different room. Got nothing. Cleaned system, was dirty, shame on me, and replaced power supply with a 550w from a 300w. All fans work now but get nothing on screen and one beep every three seconds. any way to isolate my problem without taking it in. Waranty long gone.

Try reseating the memory sticks. If no joy try booting with only 1 if you have 2, switching them if no luck with first.

  • MacBook Pro won't boot - stays on black screen and beeps every few seconds

    Hi,
My MacBook Pro has been having issues - when powered on wont boot past the white screen and more recently will just stay on black screen and beeps every 5 seconds. I had someone look at it and it seems apparently the motherboard is the problem
and either needs fixing or replacing. As I am traveling in Nicaragua the closest apple store is in Managua (capital). Would I be able to get the motherboard looked at and replaced if need be at this apple store? Also, does anyone know the approximate price for the motherboard to be replaced? Up until a few days ago the laptop was still turning on and working every now and then but now stays on black screen and beeps.
Any advice would be very helpful!
    Thanks

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It means that your Mac's memory is damaged > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2538?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
First, replace the memory modules. You can buy more memory at OWC or Crucial. It can also be replace by a reseller.
If it doesn't work, the RAM slots are damaged, so your logic board has to be replaced. It costs more than a half of the price of your MacBook

  • My MacBook keeps beeping every 25 seconds.

MacBook Pro 15" non-retnia.  4 months old.  I hardly shut it down, maybe have 3x in 4 months, Genuis said that was fine.
This morning when I opened the cover, it was frozen, I couldn't move my mouse.  Then the beeping started.  It beeps every 25 seconds.
I muted it and shut it down but the beeping continued while off.  I am able to boot back up and use the computer but the beeping continues.  There are no updates available, nor have I updated anything recently.
Anyone know what is going on and how I can stop it?
    Thanks,
    Saraant

Ok, now I am going to sound like the biggest idiot here (if I didn't already by spelling Genius wrong lol)
But I heard the beep differently that last time and it didn't sound good, sounded like there was static interferance... that's when I realized my BF had his walkie-talkie on the table next to me and the battery was beeping "low batt"
UGH!  Anyway, I'm so happy it's not my Mac!!!
    Sorry to waste anyone's time!

  • Pro won't start.  Instead get a black screen and a beeping every 2 seconds. LIght at front right corner of keyboard flashes in sequence with beeping.

If it is giving a single beep every two seconds, then it is not seeing any of the memory.  You could try taking the back off, remove the memory module and reinsert to see if that corrects the problem.  Or just take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs do that for you.
If you are uncertain about working on the memory modules, you can find on-line videos for doing so at OWC, http://www.macsales.com where you can see the procedure for your year, make and model of MacBook Pro.

  • P35 NEO-2 FR won't boot just beep beep every 10 seconds

What's wrong with my system, My system won't boot and I get a beep beep every 10 seconds. I was updating my bios using the approved USB flash drive procedure, all I got was a blinking cursor. I rebooted and now my computer won't boot. Is my motherboard dead? I have successfully used the bios flashing tool in the past.

    That's a good question.
Another problem has come up. I get CMOS bad check sum error. Press F1 for "can't remember" but it sends me to bios or F2 for default settings. Basically, I can't overclock because of this bad checksum error. Everything runs at stock speed. How do I fix this? On the bright side, I now have bios version 1.8
On a side note for Remus, I never made it to the load new bios screen. The cursor "_" was blinking non stop for several minutes. According to the admins, another user in Germany had the exact same problem that had.
Now, how do I fix the CMOS bad checksum error message?

Enter in BIOS and "LOAD BIOS OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS", then "SAVE AND EXIT"
If you still get "CMOS bad checksum error" at next reboot, do this:
Login in your windows, then adjust USB key geometry. Do this:

Format your USB Flash Drive with >>this<< tool and then retry with "MSI Forum HQ USB Flashing Tool".
And update BIOS via Forum Tool (Re-flash with the same BIOS 1.8) will fix the problem.
