Iphone 4s being replaced with new 4s, will everything sync the same to the new one???

My iphone 4s was having some glitches so i am replacing it. But i really love my layout and how i have my apps organized, i was wondering if i back this all up to itunes if it will sync the exact same back to my new 4s. i get very OCD about my apps and it takes me a long time to get my iphone to look "like home" so this is very important. please get back to me thanks.

Restoring from the latest backup will bring back all your settings again. You might have to fill in certain passwords, for example for mail.

I had my iphone 4 stolen, replaced with new one same day and downloaded info saved to the cloud.  The next day all that info disappeared and have not been able to get any of the old info back.  Is there a way to get this info.

I think you will have to do a complete restore--you will lose any info added since last backup.  Connect phone to computer, select it in souce list.  Next, click on Summary tab, click Restore.  In the next dialog box, click Restore--your phone will be erased and the latest software will be installed.  Click agree to terms and phone will restart.  Then you will see the phone setup screen--click on Restore from Backup and select the most recent backup.  Obviously, this will only work if you have a backup on the computer.  If not, check Set up as New Phone, click continue, then wait for the process to finish.

  • How do I remove one failing hard drive from raid set and replace with new one

Last Friday apparently one of my raid drives started failing.
As I mentioned on this forum I started getting continous beeping.
I was finally able to get the raid working at a degraded level.  I ordered a replacement hard drive which is arriving today.
(In the meantime I made twice daily backups of my work.....)
Below was the message I got from the browser based raid software:
    Blahblah 09    1000.2GB   RaidSet Member SamSung HD103SJ
    Blahblah 10    1000.2GB     Free                 SamSung HD103SJ
    Blahblah 11    1000.2GB   RaidSet Member SamSung HD103SJ
    Blahblah 12    1000.2GB   RaidSet Member SamSung HD103SJ
(See this earlier thread if you wish!)
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/727867?tstart=0
At one point when I did the checked the browser interface I saw the message Failed and Degraded
As I said, I was able to work over the weekend on the degraded system.
This morning I got the beeping again and did the rescue and now I am running a "full raid" without the notice that one raid was "Free".
In any case, the new hard drive is arriving today.
What steps should I take to incorporate the new drive into the raid system.
    I have one OS drive
and 4 tb raid drives.   One needs to be replaced with the new one that I am getting today.
    Thanks

    Harm,
    Regarding your comment:
Re: How do I remove one failing hard drive from raid set and replace with new one
Please tell me how to read the serial number from an individual drive rather easily, without un-installing them:
If you select the proper drive to change out, you only need to remove one drive and look at its serial number...
Step 1: Identify bad drive serial number using Areca's tools
Step 2: Turn off the computer
Step 3: Remove what you think is the bad drive based on following your numbered cable method, marked hot-swap bays, whatever
Step 4: Verify that the serial number matches the "bad drive" serial number from step 1; if it does great, proceed; if it does not match, go back to step 3
Step 5: Change out the CORRECT drive - that's the bottom line for this whole procedure

  • Songs/albums being replaced with new content

    Hi,
I got a 120gb iPod Classic for Christmas and am just getting used to using it. The problem I have at the moment is that when I sync new songs/albums to the ipod, they are replacing what was already on it!! For instance, I had 2 albums by the one artist already on the ipod, and when I synced a 3rd album it simply replaced the 2 earlier albums! I have looked up the problem in the support manual but can't seem to get any info on it.
    Any help would be great.

Well, the first question to ask is are you deleting the music from your iTunes library after syncing it to the iPod? You cannot do this and "sync" the iPod with new music without deleting the old.
If you want to delete songs from your iTunes/computer hard drive after transferring them to the iPod, and for this you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.

  • Old macbook replaced with new one, still have old hard drive.

I have the old hard drive from my non functioning 3 year old white macbook. Today I have a new white macbook complements of extended warranty. I tried swapping the old drive with the new, but it entered into a boot up loop. It chimes, sits there on the grey screen, then reboots. I'm assuming this is due to upgraded hardware in the new macbook being incompatible with OSX Tiger on the old drive.
So is it possible to put the old drive into an external drive case and run the migration assistant to transfer all the settings, apps, etc across? Is there another way I can make the old drive work with the the new macbook? Thought I might ask before I start shelling out for an external drive case or paying the apple repair store to transfer my data.
    Thanks,
    Warren.

Yes you could install it into an external drive case. (They are not that expensive).
Yes, you could reformat the drive GUID partition and install your OS on it.

  • Lost project replaced with new one?

I have a project that was finished with the exception of minor tweaking. It was saved. I was going to go back later and finish. A few days later I started pulling clips for a new project in a completely different project. (and saved them)
Now when i go back to the first saved project the clips from the new one are in that timeline! Arrgh! I really don't want to have to re do that whole project and I really don't understand how this happened in the first place. BTW the second project is still in tack where it should be too. So it is now in 2 places, but I can't find the first one.
Has this happened to anyone before? Can anyone make any sense out of this?
    Thanks!
    ruez

What version of PPRO are you running?
Does the content for the two projects have the same filenames (like C0000.ext, C0001.ext, etc.)?
Have you moved the content used in the first project?
At any point when you opened the first project, has PPRO prompted you to relink to the media?
While user error seems like the most likely scenario, if you're running PPRO CC (7.0), I'm thinking there's a possibility that Relink could have mapped to the wrong body of clips.
Even if my hypothesis is bogus, a solution could be to make all the content in the first project offline, then relink it to the correct content. If, that is, the sequence in the first project reflects your edits from that project rather than the second on, which is not clear to me from your post.

  • How to install OS X  after HDD was replaced with new one?

    Hi folks,
I got new 500G HDD in my mac. After i have started it with C pressed selected <Use English as the main language> Then <Welcome to Mac Installer> Then <Software License Agreement> Then<Select a Destination> but there is nothing to select, there is no destination volume at all.
Could some one tell me what i need to do to install OS X.
    Thanks

Hi mosaicto, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Most drives come MS-Dos, we need HFS+ to install AND GUID Partitioning if an IntelMac.
    How to format your disks...
    http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/partitioningtiger.html
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the Erase tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Highlight the drive, select Erase Tab, then Format type... MacOS Extended Journalled, select the Security Options button, choose Zero Out Data, Erase... after completion hopefully you'll be able to install.

  • Can't use hard drive after replacing with new one

Disk Utility showed failed hard drive so a new Seagate ATA-100 160G was installed. I did the Erase and Journaling of the new HD. I went back to the installer to install OS10.3 and the HD now shows in the window for the destination volume. The problem is it shows an explamation point over the HD icon and if you select it the window says cannot install OSX on this volume. I placed the jumpers on the new HD exactly as the old HD had them.
    What am I doing wrong?

I placed the jumpers on the new HD exactly as the old HD had them.
Jumpers vary by manufacturer and model. If you copied the jumper positions, and not their meanings, it will not work.
You need to place the jumpers to set the drive to Master, but use the diagram on the new drive (not the jumpers on the old drive) as your reference.
I apologize in advance if you have, in fact, copied the sense of the jumpers rather than their positions.

  • Office Jet 8600 Pro gives repeated message of depleted ink after replacement with new ones

My OfficeJet 8600 Pro (n911a?) gives a repeated message of depleted ink levels (Cyan and Yellow) even after I have replaced them with genuine HP 951 ink cartridges. I am certain that I have installed them correctly (I have done this in the past with no problems) and I have turned the machine off and on again several times. I have checked firmware and software updates and it appears that everything is up to date. Any other thoughts?
    Thanks.

  • Macbook Pro startup password is being filled by computer and will not allow the correct one

I have a nearly new Macbook pro retina 13 inch.  While moving files to and from an external drive, there was an odd shaking of the files etc.  Today when I tried to restart the computer and got to the machine password entry, the machine started filling in the password until full, and would not allow me to delete the password to enter my own without again filling in some other characters.  Is there a way to bootup and bypass the password?

Sounds like a stuck-on keyboard key, not a software issue.

  • Replace playing video with new one in osmf player

    Hi,
I have a problem with loading new video in osmf player. First video is loaded from the emmbed code, and I use ProxyElement to comunicate with MediaLEment and to load my plugin. But after some actions in my plugin I need to load another video in the Player. By changing the DisplayedObject from the proxiedElement I am loading the new video but the old video from emmbed code is still runing on the back. Does anyone know how to remove mediaElement created by the player or to replace with new one, ot at least to disable that video from playing. I tried with everything and it doesn't work.
    Thanks

However, My carrier (orange) will b picking up my broken iPhone and I am unsure how to secure the content and icloud data on the broken phone. Is there a way to disable the data held on it and ensure that if it is fixed, nobody can use/see my data and access my account?

    Hi Gazpan,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend using the steps in this article to back up your iPhone if possible:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
You may also find this advice helpful for your situation:
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you no longer have your iOS device
If you're using iCloud and Find My iPhone on the device, you can erase the device remotely and remove it from your account by signing in to icloud.com/find, selecting the device, and clicking Erase. When the device has been erased, click Remove from Account.
If you're unable to complete either of the above steps, you should change your Apple ID password. Changing your password won't remove any personal information that is cached on the device, but it will make sure that the new owner can't delete your information from iCloud.
    Cheers,
