IPhone 4s blocks after entering SIM PIN

Since today, my nearly brandnew iPhone 4s blocks after entering the SIM PIN. Yesterday evening it lost the connect to the telephone net and kept on searching for a net. Trying first a restart - and as this did not solve the problem - a hard reset, it now locks up when trying to enter the SIM PIN. It shows "Please wait ..." at the screen and then blocks.
I tried already restart, hard reset, taking the SIM card out and putting it back again, disabling 3G and Mobile Data. Nothing helped.
If I do not try to unlock the SIM card then I can proceed (but not use the iPhone as telephone).
Any idea what I could try else?

Typically this indicates a device that has been hacked to be unlocked or jailbroken.
If that is the case, no support can be provided here.

Using a cradle with the Tungsten E2? Tried bypassing the cradle and just use the hotsync cable? Tried a different computer yet? Somehow, the PC is having problems getting a signal from the device. I assume you have the laptop charger plugged into the laptop during this? Not going through a docking station or port-replicator.
One crazy thing you can try is unplug the charger from your laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and leave it out for like 10mins and put it back in and reboot the laptop. This should not cause side effects but still contact your OEM to make sure that nothing else is needed after leaving the battery out for extended period of time. Keep me posted.

Inability to enter sim pin after 5.1 update on z3

After receiving the lollipop update 5.1 my z3 ( sim protection on) no longer gives me the opportunity to enter my pin number on power up and going to the security menu sim lock section doesn't work either because the sim is locked and an overlay covers the menu.

How to enter SIM PIN on a wiped IPad when you know the PIN?

My daughter somehow changed her PIN on her IPad this morning but has no idea what it is! I tried to restore to factory settings, but it would not let me do this unless I turned off find my IPhone which I could not do because we do not know the password. I use two ways - not very sophisticated
On my pop account, I set the preferences to delete mail on server immediately after download
On BlackBerry, I delete the mail account when I am near the computer and re-enter when I want mail

my simcard got blocked because i mixed the new iphone activation code and the simcard prepaid secure code. then i tried the iphone activation code a couple of times to introduce the PUK code of the simcard. This then also blocked the Iphone. Only emergency calls possible. So I need to unblock my Iphone in order to be able ti introduce the PUK code to reactivate my Simcard. Living in a country not served by any provider locally, I purchased an unlocked iPhone 3G (I know I know, not good at all) and of course after trying to update it, the end result is a completely blocked phone !
Is there any solution to unblock it without any Apple shop/retailer/repair center in the country !

If you have an illegally unlocked phone, updating the firmware will re-lock it to the original carrier and country - or brick the phone entirely. (Officially unlocked phones would not re-lock with updating.) Unfortunately, "unofficially" unlocking the phone has voided the warranty, which was valid only in the country of sale anyway.
Your only possible recourse is to move to the country where it was sold and use it there. You also can try getting a replacement or refund from whomever sold it to you (lots of luck!).

Worried about my iphone getting blocked after buying it from gumtree

I just bought a new boxed iphone 6 with receipt from a guy on gumtree. My worry is now that if this phone was originally bought using a fake credit card, can my phone be blocked? The reason I am now paranoid is because this guy who sold me the phone bought it from apple store just 2 days back. He could have just returned it back to the store. His explanation was that it was bought by his brother who is not in the country now and so he can't return to the store.

Quite a decent deal is suspect but doesn't prove anything about it being stolen. It could be totally legit. Use the phone as you intended. As it stands you have no knowledge if it was stolen or not. If it ends up being blocked then turn it into the police.

I think you should call via phone or perhaps take it to a phone store. I suggest taking your id, box packaging and other necessities such as the reciept of the phone being purchased.

I have made my first sync with itunes and tried to upgrade to IOS 5.0.1 as recommneded. Now my iphone´s screen is black and shows a itunes icon and the plug sync cable.
When I conect the iphone to te computer it does not appears the iphone at the itunes.

SIM pin code.

So I enabled my SIM card pin. My question is, shouldnt the iPhone prompt me to enter my pin number on restart? Similar to when you enable the passcode function.

Yes with restart I mean re-boot on /off.
Strange it didnt ask me to enter PIN, it merely stated that SIM was locked. The SIM LOCK message was displayed where the the network logo was.
I had to manually go into settings and disable pin for the unit to go online.

Installed W10-TP this morning, and now I can't unlock my SIM.
Phone freezes after entering SIM code.
If I remove SIM card or skip the SIM unlocking, W10 works fine on wifi.
Any suggestions?
