IPhone 4S, brand new, won't connect to computer, will connect to charger. Help?
I bought a new iPhone 4S last week. After trying to connect it to my computer, it asked me to uninstall and reinstall windows. I did. Still wouldn't connect to computer (windows). I have an iPod touch as well. It's been working great with my computer and iTunes for almost two years. Never had a problem with that. With the iPhone I've tried using different usb ports, nothing, different cords, nothing, tried resbooting iPhone while plugged into computer, nothing, tried rebooting the computer with iPhone plugged in, nothing, closed all background running apps, nothing, tried updating to iOS6, and THAT did nothing. It will connect fine to the charger, but my computer absolutely refuses to even sense it. Has anyone else had this problem, or should I just take it back to the store tomorrow?

Hi everyone, brand new macbook. i connected the ethernet and its giving me all these problems and will not connect to the internet. I tried to just let it configure automatically but even that doesnt work.
I have ethernet via time warner cable btw.

thank u!Here is how to do a power cycle or what is called a reset.
Plug in your mac to your modem
Un plug the power cord to your modem
Wait 5 seconds, then plug the power cord back in
Give a minute or so to reboot and re-config its settings
Try clicking on safari and connecting to the internet
This should work, if not use the mac internet connect wizard to try and fix the problem.
If both of those solutions do not work then post back here. -
Hi, just need to know how to get my music, video, pictures and apps form my iPhone to my new laptop as the old computer, which I used before was stolen. I only have my phone left and if I try to conect it to my new laptop it's trying to delete everything.
I have also noticed all my settings won't stay set, example....I removed the check mark from "third party cookies", the when I close Firefox and reopen the check mark is back, also my tool bar has screwed up....can't reset, been having trouble the up grade.

I'm trying to transfer data (docs, emails) from an old G4 iMac running OS 10.3.9 to brand new iMac on 10.8.1 I'm stuck, any help greatly appreciated. (Ethernet or wifi networking are both options if I can figure out how to get the machines to communicate.)

I don't understand why you're buying a Firewire adaptor, since AFAIK both of your computers have Firewire already built in.
All you need is a firewire cable. Connect the Firewire socket on the old machine to the Firewire socket on your new iMac.
Then start the old machine in Target Mode (i.e. by holding down the T key on its keyboard, while it's starting up, until you see the three-legged T icon hopping around the screen of the old machine.)
At that point you will also see a new icon on the screen of your new iMac. This is the hard drive of your old machine. By clicking on it you can navigate through it any way you like, just as you would normally.
Just drag across whatever you want from the old computer to the new one. This will leave everything on the old computer untouched.

I just install a brand new lightroom 5 in my computer. But when I open its icon, it asked to buy a serial number. I already have a serial number. How can I proceed?
There should be an option to enter the serial number you have, either in that dialog box or from the "help" menu "Lightroom Registration".

What are you talking about? There is no "compatibility feature" on the iPhone, and .exe files won't run on the phone.
Please slow down and explain exactly what you're trying to do and what happens when you try. -
When i open itunes it gives me the option to download the new version 10.3. my computer will not support 10.3. i can't by pass the download to continue with my current version of itunes. i've trashed and reinstalled 8.2.1 twice. any solutions?
I am in the same boat. I tried repeatedly to contact iTunes support, but was told each time that I had contacted the wrong deaprtment and they could not help me. There must be a way to still be able to use the iTunes store without paying for a system update. If not, I hope they will reimburse me the money I have in my acount.

Brand new ipod touch connected, device recognized, but nothing happens?
I bought a brand new iPod touch 2nd gen two days ago and as I was very excited to plug it into my computer, sadly, nothing happened. iTunes recognizes the device and can be seen under Devices, but NOTHING happens and there are no other functions to click on at all. No set up, just a blank white screen, and yet, the iTouch screen still says to connect it to iTunes which it already is....
I have reinstalled iTunes, restarted my computer many times, updated it to the latest iTunes version, and still this problem persists. Can anyone help me out please!

How to know iphone is brand new?
I Purchased my iphone from a local reseller here but the box had no seal and there were scratches at the back protector and phone did have gloss. Ian pretty doubtful that maybe the device had been previously in use. How do I make sure I got a brand new iphone? Please help I am really upset about it!
Double check that there is no serial by powering it up and go to Settings - General - About.
The serial number (if there is one) should be right there below the software version number.
If you bought a damaged phone, then you unfortunately are out of luck. -
Streaming music with airport express and Apple TV to 2 different systems. No problem with Apple TV. iPad and iPhone 4 and new 5s keep dropping their connection to airport express. Airport express connection to wifi appears to be fine. No dropping by windows PC. This just started recently after working fine for a year. Help?
What does any of this have to do with the Apple TV?
