Iphone 4s charging,battery life problems, HELP

My iphone 4s was fully charged this morning at 7am and by 11am it was at 1% . Then had it charging and it was at 13% and unplugged it then when I pluged it back in it was at 1% again. why is this happening. I have low brightness and no apps running.

IPhone 4S sudden battery life problem with iOS7

I've been hearing the rumors of iOS7 battery life problems but not experiencing them ... until today.
The battery seems to lose about 20% every hour without my really using the phone at all. No calls. No Safari. No Calendar. No email.
I stopped all applications. Still drained.
Recharged.
I turned on airplane mode. Still drained.
Recharged.
I turned off application background updates. Still drained.
I am recharging now. And I have turned off location services.
Not sure what changed. In the last day I did upgrade my computer to a brand new Mac Book Pro. Could syncing with my new computer have changed something on the phone that would have initiated this.
I installed iOS7 on the release day and haven't had this problem until today.
Any other tips?

Curiously enough, the problem is gone today.
Didn't change anything that I know of.
Turned background updating on.
Turned location services on.
Battery life seems to be holding in a "normal" way.
Baffled.

IPhone 4s ios6 battery life problem

I upgraded my iPhone 4s to ios6 at 8am this morning. By 11am I had 10% battery life left! I have no GPS apps running. Anyone else have this issue?

After looking around for a poissible solution in the settings, I noticed that the option for the Personal Hotspot was not under the General settings anymore. I went to it by selecting "General", then "Cellular" and the "Personal Hotspot" field there was hanging with the wheel turning around.
Checked it for more than 1/2 hour and still no change (wheel still turning around). Deceided then to make a reset of the iPhone and when turned it on again after some seconds the option "Personal Hotspot" was back under the General settings menu. Under the selection "Cellular" the wheel was not turning anymore and it was on "off".
I made this morning (West European time) and after that the bettery consumption went back to normal (if not even less than before). It has been about 10 hours ago and I have made couple of calls, sent couple of SMSs, kept Wifi always on and made regular checking of emails while on the road. The battery has reduced only 12% since then.
I hope this has solved the problem.

Updated new iphone 4s and battery life is poor

Since I upgraded my new iphone 4s the battery life has become really poor. As soon as its unplugged its lost life!

Depending on the settings for your social media apps, your usage can very. If, for example, Facebook is checking the status to often, your battery is more likely to be drained. Same for mail and other push/fetch services.
Sometimes it helps to delete the account and set it up again, there have been cases in which those apps got stuck trying to connect to their servers.
If you restored the phone from the latest backup you made, did you reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for at least 10sec, until the Apple logo came back again?

IPhone 4 poor Battery Life & Intended Obsolescence

I have two questions and will include clarifications/details.
1) Why does my iPhone 4 have such poor battery life? I have had an iPhone 4 for a little over 2 years. I first noticed poor battery life a year and a half ago. I recently (two months ago) replaced my battery. The new battery still has the same very poor battery life problems. It does not last half a day if I use it at all. Before anyone asks, yes, I do constantly close my open applications when they are not in use. And yes, I had a brand new battery put in the phone 2 months ago. It only seemed to give me better battery life for a few days, and then it was back to very poor. Maybe it works for 6 hours now, when before the replacement it worked for 4.
2) A larger question that probably can't really be answered here: Does Apple design iPhone's to break down and work poorly after 2 years? It seems to me, these phones are designed to be used for a year at full functionality, and then start losing speed and battery life. Don't get me wrong, I think the functionality of a new iPhone is 2nd to none, but the functionality of an iPhone after 18 months, is mediocre at best.

I did not do it myself. I paid a local NYC iPhone service company. And please, what do you mean "there is your first suspect." You don't be ridiculous. It may not be 100% intentional. I've heard talk about the iOS updates possibly being better designed for the new phones, so they inadvertantly become total power ***** on the older models. But this should be communicated if it is true. And I know tons of iPhone users in NYC. I know 0 who use a 3G or 3GS. And while I know quite a few people still with their 4 like me, 100% of them have horrible battery life.

Using an iPhone wall charger for the iPod is fine. You can also use an iPhone cable for the iPod.
The term " iphone's charge battery" is not really clear.

IPhone 4S: Poor Battery Life

After I got my iPhone 4S the battery life has been really bad compared to my iPod Touch. It does anyone have any suggestions? Yes i have tried restoring the software and setting it up as a new phone.

When/how to charge the iPhone for optimal battery life?

I have an iPhone 3G 8GB. I was just wondering what the best way to go about charging the iPhone is, in order to optimise the battery life?
Should you wait until the iPhone is really flat/ low battery and then charge it up full, or are smaller and more frequent 'shallow' charges healthier?
I also heard somewhere that every couple of months or so it is a good idea to let the battery run completely dead and then charge it up, in order to calibrate it or something... but that doing this too often could be detrimental.
Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't know if I should let my iPhone run really low before charging it or if smaller more frequent chargers are the way to go.

Thanks! I did read over that and have taken the steps mentioned and fiddled around with settings of my phone to optimise use. I was just wondering if anyone else had anything else to add about charging habits specifically and what works best... I think mainly I'm just being paranoid about my phone dying prematurely since it's the first time I've owned such an expensive gadget!
Also, can you overcharge it? Is it bad to leave it on the charger overnight? I've done some searching in other threads/ webpages and there seems to be some discrepancies but for the most part people seem to think that it will be fine?

I haven't touched my Iphone 5c for an hour besides a few texts and it as dropped its battery life by 20% I also took it off the charger (at three in the morning) at 90% and woke up to a 70% battery life. I want to know if I should be taking this back or not? Also while charging last night the phone got very hot which is also very concerning.

5 days old iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.4 battery life please help

My phone is 5 days old and i am so fed up with battery life. I disabled all data settings and location services and i have nothing in notification center for any push notification. But still i lost 40% of the battery in half a day with just 5 mins of voice call and 15 mins of texting. Phone was idle the rest of the time and when i used i had brightness at around just 10-15% this is my first iPhone and totally disappointed as i saw battery to last a full day of normal usage in the internet. You have to tell us what your usage pattern is like, what your reception/signal strength is, and what network type you are using (E/3G/4G/LTE)
To note, the more the screen is on (in long intervals 2+ minutes) the shorter the battery life is.
Streaming music over 3G will last 6 hours if the screen stays off for most of that time.
Email, messages, web browsing will last most of the day.
Since you have GSM, your phone should last 10 hours with light usage.

About 2 months ago I got a White iPhone 4S 16GB and it was working fine until I got back from Spain. The battery life now seems to be draining very quickly like for instants today It was fully charged at 7:30 and by 10:45 it was on around 30% battery life. I had only been listening to music for about an hour or so and read a few emails. I always close apps when they arent in use and the only ones that were open at the time were the messages and iPod. I'm assuming this isnt normal. I have also noticed that my phone has been getting very hot when on charge and sometimes during general use.
Has anybody got any ideas of what the problem is?
Could it be a hardware issue?
Any help would be appreciated.

My new iPhone 4S loses battery life even when switched off?

Purchased a new iPhone just last week.
I drained the battery completely and then full cycle charged it. Disabled Siri, location, apps, notifications etc.
So far I have been very conservative with my iPhone making phone calls and texts only.
Just started to notice these past 3 days that i lose 2-3% of battery life even when my iPhone is switched off..
How is this even possible?
Any help or advice on how i can solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Strange iPhone 4S charging / battery issue

For some time now, after I charge my iPhone 4S, the Usage and Standby times have always been the same - meaning the battery life isn't too good. Every night the phone sits on top of my Sony bedside clock radio and the battery is at 100% in the morning, but seems to discharge too quickly.
I have visited an Apple Genius bar twice where the advice is always the same - restore the phone using iTunes, which to date has had no effect. I'm kind of hoping the next iOS update will fix things?
However ... !! Very occasionally I notice the Usage and Sandby times are different, so I think - great, it's back to normal, but how did it happen?
Well - I was never able to work out what was going on, until now.
In my work I sometimes have to spend nights away from home in hotels, so I use the standard Apple charger and a standard Apple dock so the phone sits next to me as a bedside clock. Twice, on separate occasions, after charging overnight in the hotel, I've noticed the return of normal battery behaviour. But when I get home and revert to using the Sony clock radio to charge overnight, the problem returns...
So last night I used the standard Apple kit to charge the phone at home - and everything is OK this morning!
I'll keep experimenting, but for now it looks like a third party charger is somehow affecting the battery behaviour of my iPhone.
Has anyone else seen anything like this, or can offer an explanation?
