IPhone 4s connect to the net via SIM

Untill 14 days ago, my IPhone connecteed to the internet via WIFI when one was available, and else via SIM.
The setting Mobiledata is set.
I have cheked with my mobile phone supplier, and I should have sufficient data left.
What can there be wrong?

Follow these steps for help troubleshooting cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, please test to see if the issue is resolved.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update: Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update: Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try turning it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still doesn't, contact your carrier to report the issue.
Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Restore the iPhone as new.
Contact your carrier to:
Verify that the iPhone is properly set up on the account with the appropriate, current data plan.
Verify that there are no account-related blocks.
Find out if there are specific error messages in the carrier logs that could help determine why the issue is occurring.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, contact your carrier, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or contact AppleCare to troubleshoot further.
Note: If you are traveling internationally, you may need to turn data roaming on: Tap Settings > Cellular. Check with your carrier first to understand the cost of international data roaming.

It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call. This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

What was the app you are referring to? I'm not aware of anything on the app store that is designed to do that, unless you're talking about an app that was causing a problem...

Personal hotspot shares your cellular connection with other devices via cable, bluetooth or WiFi. If you turn on the hotspot, the phone will be disconnected from the WiFi network you are on and share access to the cellular connection. That's what it's for. It's using your data plan if that's what you're trying to do.

Hi there, Im writing for a friend of mine who has a iMac... he has his highspeed cable plugged into his iMac, however the net does not work.... on my macbook once I plug in my cable the internet works right away for me.... so Im wondering what he has to do / get for his net to work.... He has a PC that connects to the net via a modem.... however his iMac is downstairs in the basement....

Usually the modem needs to be reset. It stores information about your computer that sometimes needs to be reset.
Have him power down the computer, then unplug the power to the modem.
Wait for a minute, then plug the modem back in and wait for it to initialize itself. Then power up the computer.
If that doesn't work, have him call his internet provider.
They can determine if there is anything wrong with the line or the modem.

I have set up an adhoc network on the desk top and the ATV is supossed to connect to the net thru the desktop which is connected to the net via ethernet. I can connect to iTunes via the desk top which is how I downloaded the movie from iTunes store. The desk top is synced to the ATV and everything is working OK except thaat the ATV has no conectivity with the net.

My iphone 5 won't call when i fail to connect to the internet via 3g.
At work i dont have wifi i have 3g, if i launch say the sky go app,or the iplayer, sometimes they work and everything is fine...sometimes they wont load as 3g for whatever reason cant get a connection at that particular time........ if i then try and make a call the call will fail. I've experimented 25 + times and this is definately the cause.
(note: when the 3g connection does work, the phone has absolutely no problem calling people)
Anyone had this problem?

Are you sure that the carrier's signal is strong where you are having this problem? Certain building structures and locations have poor cellular signal strength and this often results in the "No Service" indication. Are other users able to get service in the same locations where you have problems?

Can i connect my ipod touch to internet, via a laptop that is connected to the net by a USB modem/dongle

I have an i pod touch, which i use to facetime friends abroad when i am at home in the uk. I work on a ship and we have very limited broadband and we are not permitted to stream through company PC's. When we are in port what i would like to do is buy a USB modem/dongle (locally, as of now i am in indonesia) for my laptop, and connect to the net using that. Is it possible to make the laptop a wfi hot spot and then connect my touch so i can facetime.
Is it technically doable?
How much data does facetime use, and would it be an expensive way to do it?

Try Reseting your decive, check your settings or manually restore your iphone bu putting it in DFU mode and connecting it to iTunes there are many youtube videos on how to do this I hope it works and wish you good luck with it. If It doest call apple care.

IOS 5 update on iPhone 4 - no connection to the Internet via GSM

After the iOS 5 update my iPhone is unable to connect to the Internet via GSM. I tried to reboot and restore the device and also to reset the networ data transmission settings. So far neither of these worked. The Wi-Fi connection works after the update just fine. I also contacted the carrier to make sure my service subscription is ok.
Does anyone have a similar problem?

Had to restore the phone to fix, after making sure all the possible settings everywhere were United States and English, but it worked. Still find it amazing that an update would change so many settings in so many places, especially the ones that aren't on the phone.

You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud.

Airport Utility is for administration of genuine Apple Base Stations. If you have a different Brand, Airport Utility can do nothing for you.
I think they're using ethernet.
To connect a Printer via Ethernet, no password is needed.
We already tried the password for the internet and that did not work...
If a password is required to connect to the Internet, then WiFi is likley being used, and that WiFi password is the one needed for the Printer connect wirelessly as well.
What make&model Printer? Is it indeed a Wireless Printer? Most connect via USB, but that would force it to use a specific computer to assist in printing.
