Iphone 4s constantly asks me for my Apple ID Password for no reason since upgrading to ios6
Since upgrading my iphone 4s to ios6 the phone constantly asks me for my Apple ID Password for no reason. I've gone into the Settings page and entered my password multiple time and this has not solved the problem.
Since switching from iPhone 4 to 5 I am having the same problem. I thought it only happened when I launched the app Line by Naver, but it's happening at other times now too. I have
1. reset my iPhone at least 4 or 5 times
2. erased and restored my iPhone twice
3. tried installing Line from a different Apple ID/Apple Store (ie. US vs. Japan) at least 4 or 5 times
4. turned off iCloud (in Settings)
Still no luck. The repeated password prompts are super frustrating.
EDIT: I was running IOS 6 on my iPhone 4 for a few days before switching iPhones, and I did not notice the problem then. Also, I thought somehow it might be related to an in-app purchase in Line, but also not sure about that.

Why am I asked to supply An Apple ID password for someone else
When trying to access ITunes on my IPhone I am asked to supply an Apple ID password for someone I do not know. There must be some error within the system that is causing this. How can this be corrected?
Doesn't matter it anyone else used your phone or not. What matters is where/how you obtained the content on the phone.
Again:
The usual cause of this is the fact that you have content, on your phone, obtained with that ID...apps, music, etc. -
IPad2. How hard is it to get an answer. Beng asked to sign i to icloud with apple id and password for paradise Which has been deleted
How hard is it to get an answer.
Harder than it as it is to write a question others can understand. Explain what "paradise" is, its relationship to Gmail, and the circumstances in which it appears. Screenshots would be helpful: Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question -
HT5622 Constantly asked to input my apple id password
I have recently be getting a request to input my Apple ID request every time I unlock my iphone. Is this due to the hacking of Apple that occurred or am I having some other issue?
Just to confirm the 'Hacking' of apple was only in relation to their developer website and although some customer information was potentialy obtained, it was heavily encrypted and can not be accessed.
I would check to see if you have an app which is trying to update or possibly a service such as Find my friends, Find my iPhone or Gamecentre which hasnt had the password entered correctly. Also if you have the email address linked to you apple ID set up on your phone, I would check to make sure its not that password that the phone is requesting. -
How do I remove a secondary Apple ID that is not in use from my MacBook pro? The ID does not belong to me and when I attempt to download updates from App Store with my Apple ID, I am prompted for the password of the secondary Apple ID.
Is this a second hand Mac? If so, you need to erase the Mac and install the version of OS X that shipped installed on the Mac from the factory. Then you set the Mac up as new with your Apple ID.
User Linc Davis explains how a new owner can prepare a 2nd hand Mac for their own use.

TS3992 iphone 4S not backuping to icloud since upgrade to iOS6
My iphone 4S is failing each time to backup to iCloud. This happens since upgraded to iOS6.
If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test: Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options. Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup. If that doesn't work, then this post will not help. If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup. If successful, keep repeating these steps. If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail. (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one. -
When i try to update my apps, it asks me to put in my password for apple id. I put in my password but then it asks for my friends password for his itunes, because i let him sync his ipod on my itunes. How do i remove his account off my itunes where i dont have to put in his password.
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

I cannot use my Ipad because Im getting a pop up asking for my Apple ID password but when I enter it the pop up just keeps coming back and doesn't go away. It pops up every second it doesn't let me do anything on my Ipad not even turn on WiFi! The account and pasword are correct in fact I can use them fine on my Iphone. I have tried restarting my Ipad and turning it of, it doesn't work! What is happening and what can I do to fix it?
Same problem for me.
1. Cannot connect to wifi as icloud password pop up keeps appearing.
2. tried deleting account. UNable to do so.
3. tried resetting password by logging into apple id through desktop as mentioned in one of the responses in another thread. Unfortunately the apple id to be reset is the same as being prompted by icloud and hence unable to reset the same.
Feel like breaking the **** ipad into bits. Stupid of apple to let such a bug in and not offer support !! -
I'm continually getting a pop-up message on my iPhone asking me to enter my Apple ID password for a email address I no longer use. How do I make it stop?
If you are signed into your current iCloud ID you shouldn't be prompted for the old ID unless there is another service still signed into it. Check the ID in iMessage (Settings>Messages>Send & Receive), FaceTime (Settings>FaceTime), Game Center (Settings>Game Center), the iTunes store (Settings>iTunes & App Store), etc. to make sure you aren't still signed in with the old ID. If you are, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

Somehow my wife has ended up with some of my apps on her iPhone, and I have some of her apps on my iPhone. So, when I update apps on my phone, some of them ask me for her apple ID password. How do I get her apps off my phone.
Do you guys use the same computer with itunes on it? And the best way to get them off is to go into the Setting>Itunes & App Store and sign out of her appleid if it's listed there. Also just delete all of the apps from her appleid off your phone.

my IPhone is asking me to type in my password for my old Apple ID that does not exist anymore. I cant set up ICloud without typing in a password to a Apple ID that does not exist, so do I have to remove everything from my IPhone and start over?
Hello miamat2017
You should see an option to skip that step and then sign out of it when looking in Settings. Check out the article below for more information.

when i have an update my iphone 5s is asking for my wifes apple id password for her iphone5..... this is very frustrating because i cant update my apps....can someone help please?
Under whose Apple ID were the apps that you are referring to purchased? If they are displaying her Apple ID and asking for her password when you are trying to update them, then that means they were purchased under her ID. They will continue to do that unless you delete them and purchase them again under your own Apple ID.
Cheers,

Ever since I updated to OS 5.1 my itouch has been asking me for my Apple ID password roughly about 6 times a day when I just leave it alone, like I'm not even downloading anything for it to even ask for my password so what is the deal? I've already tried doing a hard reset, still the same. And no I have not done a factory restore that's just a last step I'll ever do, it's just annoying to be constantly asked for my password.
You might have some app updates or other itmes that are trying to download.

I got an iPad2 for Christmas and went to the Apple Store to have them transfer over my contacts from my iPhone4S to the iPad2. They said they had to do it over iCloud and help me set up an iCloud account. But I had an old Apple ID (one without an "@icloud.com" name or other email address attached to it). When they did that it basically screwed up my whole Apple ID account. Now, both my iPhone4S and iPad2 randomly prompt me to enter my Apple ID password for my old Apple ID!, which they said does not exist anymore. So confused...please advise.
The email you should NOT have published, is your iCloud, not Apple ID
You Apple ID is a valid email address
This is a user forum, not Apple customer service.
I gather the security question did not work.
If you have an email address, why not use that?
If this fails you have to contact support and schedule help. -
I changed my email address, now I constantly get a pop-up asking me for my Apple ID Password, showing my old email address. I am able to access everything but it is annoying.
Try:
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now sign back in with your new ID.
