IPhone 4S deletes random notes
About a month ago my phone randomly deleted a recipe I had put in my notes. iCloud added it to my iPad so I recovered it and stored it in my email. But when I put it back on my iphone, within a few days it deleted itself again. I haven't put it back on since then. Two days ago I had about 4-5 new notes, one was another recipe and like two grocery lists. Today I look at my notes and my new notes are gone! So! What did I do? Why I went to my iPad of course, but the moment I go to it, for a split second I have my notes, then it updates and removes the deleted notes. What is going on?? I haven't deleted anything myself! Any insight would be great. I haven't hooked my phone to iTunes in quite a while so I imagine these are not attainable again? These notes weren't too important but I fear the day it will delete something I really need!
By the way, I apologize if this has been an issue in the past that I have overlooked in searching.
I have this same problem. While I haven't figured out a way to prevent the notes from being deleted yet, I did find a way to recover them. Do you have your iPhone connected to your laptop through iCloud or anything? I know you said you don't have it hooked up to iTunes, but that's not the only way. My phone wirelessly backs up to my email, so it sends my notes as emails to my address. When they get deleted, I just go online and email them back to myself so I can copy and paste them back into Notes. Huge pain in the rear, but at least I have my notes back :/ This seems to be a common issue, so hopefully someone can find a fix soon!

Several times in the last year when I have gone into the native Notes app, several notes have simply disappeared – definitely without my doing anything to cause it. As it happens, they have typically been some of the notes I really didn't want to lose.
What is the explanation for this? There doesn't seem to be any easy way to get these notes back. But more to the point, I want to prevent their loss in the first place. I looked into third-party software and found that a program to restore lost files costs $99!
Why is there no easy way to export the text from iPhone Notes for safekeeping, say, on a flash drive?
We can't even see the notes that are on the phone when it is connected to a PC (like we can with music etc.).
I tried to RESTORE BACKUP, and that didn't work because I get the message: "iTunes could not restore the iPhone X because not enough free space is available on the iPhone. Well isn't that just great? And HOW MUCH SPACE is needed?! I have 600+mb free right now (64gb phone), but I tried this before with anoint 2gb free and it didn't work then, either. What's up with that?!JZarb,
This problem is considered to be a glitch in the software. YOur best option, if you still need advice or if it ever happens again, is to plug the iPhone into your computer, sync it with iTunes, and then restore the device. Hopefully you can save all the correct contacts that are left. Then, redownload all of your information to your iPhone and the problem shouldnt transpire again!

I have attempted the recommended fixes; power off the phone and I have deleted the email account and readded the account. I also signed into the email account. The problem is not witth my email account. This is a very disturbing problem. I purchased the iphone to reliably communicate. I have no idea which emails are sent since they are all appearing in my sent folder, but the receipient is not getting the email message. I regret upgrading to IOS7. This was not a problem under the older opperating systems. I tested this with my first generation iPad. I sent a message successfully to the receipient using my ipad 1. Does anyone have any other fixes to try?
The biggest concern is that the phone just randomly decides that certain emails are not sent! I am becoming very disillusioned with apple products - great way to destroy a good thing! The android market is looking more appealing everyday.I had that problem and seemed to have solved it by deleting my email accounts and then reinstalling. I think there was a HARD reset involved also, but since it was just after I got my new 4S (6 weeks ago), I'm not sure about the reset.

Does your iPhone 4s delete your notes and music?
Many times now, I open Notes on my iPhone 4s to look at something, it's there for a split second and then deletes.
I then check my Macbook only to find out that they have been erased there, too.
I cannot find a way to get them back and I do not back up that often.
Why does this keep happening? And just today (5-30-14) I used my phone to listen to my music, reach my destination, go back in to start listening on my way home, only to find out my music is gone.
I come home to check if the music is still on my phone. I find out it is, but it's not showing up on my phone.
Anyone having similar problems?
I upgraded to iOS 7 when it was first available for iPhone 4s and I keep on track with updates.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

anybody know how i can fix this, i already tried to turn off itunes match off and on again on the iphone but it does not seem to work, also artwork once downloaded into the iphone it does not stay there, the next day its just a blank artwork and after the internet circles in the top left of the iphone stop spinning, i go back to my music library and then back to the song and it downloads it, but it does not stay there forever, any fix?

Deleting songs downloaded to your device
You can delete a song or album from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch at any time. Don't worry; it'll still be in the cloud.
Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.

Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone. Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:

When i logged onto my itunes account, my daughters contacts uploaded to my iphone. We do not share the same itunes account so i don't know how this happened. Does anyone know how to remove her contacts from my phone with out having to manually delete them one by one?
Apparently, you have set up the same iCloud account on both devices or you are syncing both devices under the same user ID on the same computer and have ended up syncing both of them with the same address book on the computer.

I accidenttly deleted my notes and the icloud cleared all the message from both ipad and iphone ...How can i get it back?? If I can ??
Your notes should be stored in your backup, so if you have backed up the iPad and that backup does contain those notes that you deleted, you can try restoring from your backup. If you haven't backed up the iPad since you created those notes, they are gone.
If you backup with iCloud only, restoring from backup involves erasing the device and then going through the setup all over again and finally restoring from the iCloud backup. This article explains the process quite clearly.

If you backup with iTunes, connect the iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and right click on the device name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. But before you do that .... turn off auto sync in iTunes - without connecting the iPad - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom of that window in order to turn off auto sync.
Email messages are not stored in your backups. -
Can anyone help with associate my new iPhone with iTunes? My other old devices are there, but I see only how to delete one, not how to add one. Thank you.
iTunes Match is a subscription system that allows you to upload your own music (e.g. coped from CDs) to the cloud so that it shows (in the cloud) on your devices and computers without having to sync/copy it.
Automatic downloads allows to, for example, buy an app on your computer's iTunes and have it automatically download on your phone without having to connect and sync it or go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your download and download it yourself - but doing that, going to the Purchased tab and redownloading an app, should get it associated.
But no, I'm not aware of any problems that not having it associated causes. -
I Can no longer synch my iPhone and iPad to Outlook using iTunes on a Win 7 Pc. I updated to iTunes 11.1.4.62 a few days ago. Don't know if that caused my problem. I've reset the Synch History, deleted any Notes in Outlook that don't have a subject. Grateful for any help.

my IT department set up my Iphone and transferred the images from my Blackberry. I have over 1500 images showing in "Photo Library" and lots of them are duplicates (same image). When I hit edit it will not allow me to delete them, delete is not an option shown. How do I get rid of the duplicates?

Just as a song is in your itunes library and the exact same song can be accessed via a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos ( not duplicates) can be accessed from the chose folder/album.
You delete these pica the same way you put them there. The sync process. Deselect them in itunes and sync. -
For the new iPhone 5s - is there not an option anymore to edit imessages without deleting the whole stream? There are some things I need to keep within a stream and some not necessary, and it looks as like no editing within a conversation?
Now I also know about pulling the message to the left to see the time stamp. Good to know, although I preferred it being right where I could see it without having to do a swipe or keystroke.

While trying to update my iPhone 4s I received this "iTunes could not backup the i Phone "Owner's iPhone" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone. Delete the backup for this iPhone, then try again. I have a PC and cannot find the backup in question to delete. Any ideas?
