Iphone 4S display has faint diagonal lines.

Is anyone else experiencing faint diagonal lines on their iPhone 4S screen? They are most noticeable on bright, solid colors. they are very faint but visible enough to detract from the display quality. Does anyone wlse have this problem? Should I make a warranty claim?

Yeah I have that probablem to but it only happens when I'm not looking straight at the screen. I think it's the same with all iPhones (at least retina ones) cause I got a iPhone 4

  • IPhone 5 faint diagonal lines

Has anybody noticed faint diagonal lines (running top right to bottom left in portrait orientation) across the entire iPhone 5 screen when viewed from slightly of center? Is this normal?
It is like a grid across the whole display, I'm guessing its the touch sensing layer, but I'm surprised at how visible it is.

I have the same thing, got one replaced for Wifi issues and the second one has it also. Neither the iPhone 4 or 4s had it, I'm 100% sure.
Will try to make pictures and send to apple.

  • IPhone 5 display has stopped working. How do I fix this?

My iPhone 5 display has stopped working. The Lock button has not been working for quite some time now, so I can't try a reset. When I plug the phone up to the computer, it makes the sound which indicates that it has been hooked up, bu nothing is displayed. It is just a black screen.

I'm sorry to hear about your phone, frodolad_ell. It sounds like you have a defective device. Is the phone still under the one year warranty? Does the device have physical or moisture damage? Please provide me with a few details.

  • Who else has faint horizontal lines in their 17" Display? Look closely!

Description: Every other horizontal pixel row appears brighter than the alternate, creating a scan-line style effect that also contributes to the washing out of the display. In seemingly random "luck of the draw" machines, lines can either be highly visible or not be present at all.
In displays where it is faint, you may not notice, but once you become aware of it is a real problem if you work closely with your computer, and graphics.
This appears to be the same issue that has been widely reported in the past with Macbook Air computers.
The three computers that I have had this issue with:
1 - Glossy, 9C99, lines visible even from three feet away.
2 - Glossy, 9C99, lines about half the visibility
3 - Matte, 9CAC, lines again about half the visibility of #1
I have also had 3 glossies and 1 matte that have not had these lines at all. 3 Unibody 15" MBPs have also not had any such lines. I have also been unable to detect these lines on any non-Apple computers I have observed, nor any of Apple's other models or displays.
I put a 17" Matte without the lines next to one with the lines and attempting to take photos, but could not get them to turn out at all for a variety of annoying reasons (unclear image, moire effects, etc). I was however able to take extremely close macro shots and there is a difference visible in the pixel arrangements, apparently.
Who else has this one their display?
    Thanks
Both pictures taken in upper-right corner of screen with standard Leopard desktop picture.
First image is display with no visible lines, second is display with visible lines.

It exists regardless of graphics chip selection or resolution. The machines either seem to have it or they don't. It seems to be something in how they are made. What I see in the close-up photos seems to suggest a variation in the layout of the pixel diodes in the display. I really want to know how many others have this in their display. Maybe there was a small bad run of them over a few months or maybe they are a multitude with this issue.

  • My iphone 5 display has broken and i want to know there is any procedure to replace iphone ,it is out of warrenty

display has broken and i have to replace my iphone 5 , there is any procedure to do this if yes then please help

One option is to have it repaired: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/screen-damage/
Not sure what you mean by "procedure to replace." How you would buy a new one depends on where you are located, whether you are under contract with a carrier for the old phone, etc. If you mean a procedure to move your data to a new phone, the following may help: Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device - Apple Support

  • IPhone 5s display has yellow hue/warmer colors?

Should I be concerned that my 5s's display is warmer than the display on my 4, 4s and iPad 3?
With full brightness on each device, the 4, 4S, and iPad 3 all have, well, "normal" whites. My 5s display has a yellow-ish hue to everything. Unnoticeable on most things (like photos), but in Messages and such, it's noticeably yellow.
Anyone else having this issue? I love 5s to death other than this, so I dunno whether it's worth getting a replacement for (or whether Apple Stores even have replacement silver AT&T 5s's at this point, haha).

I am faching the same issue. I bought the phone here in the UK. As soon as I unboxed it I felt that the display was not as bright as my iPhone 4S. I went to apple store and got the phone replaced today. The replaced phone also has the same display issue (yellowish, creamish, warmer). I compared my phone with other phones in the apple store display pieces and discovered that only my phone has this problem. When I asked the sales person, he she said new batches of iPhones comes with this display.
It really looks very dull, especially while using apps with white background.

  • HT3964 my imac 27 display has 5 blue lines and does not boot up what is the problem?

My Imac 27 displays 5 blue vertical lines and does not boot up.  What could cause this?

I already anticipated the video card causing this issue.  This was confirmed today by Apple issuing a campaign indicating the AMD Radeon 6970M video cards are defectivce and will be replaced free of charge three years from date of purchase.  I looked at the new iMacs and found repairing them to be a nightmare.  So, once this p.o.s. is repaired, I'm selling it and purchasing an ABA computer.

  • Why does my MacBookPro 10.5 suddenly display B&W diagonal lines?

My MacBookPro 10.5 displays black and white or yellow and white diagonal blocks when
scrolling on Safari browser window. This completely obstructs the page. I have no available
software updates and have changed no settings. I did sync the MacBook to my iphone 3GS two days ago which has never caused issues in the past. Could this possibly be a virus??

Does your Mac have the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics chip? If so, you might have this problem:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
If you have access to an Apple Store, there is a specific test they can run to diagnose this problem. If it turns out to be the NVIDIA problem, the repair will be done at no cost to you.
    Good luck!

  • My refurbished iPhone 5 display has a yellow tint?

I got a replacement iPhone from AppleCare today, and I've got everything figured out with my new iPhone 5. When I was texting my friend, in messages I noticed the white background in the messages apphas a yellow tint to it. To make sure I wasn't seeing things or anything I got my iPhone 5 that I'm sending back to Apple and I compared both displays and the refurbished iPhone (I assume it's refurbished, there is little noticeable marks here and there) has a yellow tinted screen, and it's very noticeable, regardless on screen brightness.
Is this normal in refurbished iPhones, or any refurbished apple devices? Can I call Apple back and request a new replacement iPhone 5? The yellow tint is pretty annoying, and I have an iPad as well, so I can really see the tinted yellow display.

Is it new? I heard it was some minor problem with the adhesive glue on the iphone, and that it should go away in a couple of days/weeks?
If you're super concerned about it, you should go to the apple store and have them check it out.

  • IPhone 6 display has bad color accuracy?

My mom recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 and I still have a 4S. I had the two next to each other with an called KSL Weather. On the iPhone 4S, the background of the app looked blue and normal. On the iPhone 6, the blue background was purple. I also noticed the Facebook app does not look right. The blue bar looked a little shaded out. When I open safari, the AppStore, or even settings, the white background looks kind of a blue like color. Compared to my 4S and iPad Mini Retina, the iPhone 6 looks horrible. Anyone else who have noticed this?

    Hi Rhettster152,

  • IPad 2 display has flickering vertical lines

My iPad 2 display is flickering and has verticle lines.  It is acting like it is having a graphics card issue.  You can barely make out what is on the screen.  Due to familiarity, I am able to navigate through the menus.  It was not dropped and I am pretty sure there is no water damage.
I took a screen shot of the display, when it downloaded to iPhoto it was perfect.
    Any suggestions?

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • IPhone 4: display has dark spot, brightness is not uniform

    Hi!
    I'm Hector from Italy.
My new iPhone 4 just arrived from the Apple Online Store. It works fine but the top left of the screen has a darker spot; such non-uniform brightness becomes very evident when opening, for instance, Safari (that has a white background).
Should I send it back to Apple?
Or is this a known software issue?
If I go to Milan's Apple Store will they swap it? I would rather not stay without iPhone since all the phones I have at home have a standard SIM and not the microsim.
(without considering that after spending 800€ I really hoped to get a quality product)
    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to Apple Discussions....
If I go to Milan's Apple Store will they swap it?
This being a user to user forum we can't say what the policy would be at a particular store but if it were me, I'd take the iPhone and ask for an exchange. Make sure and take proof of purchase with you.
