Iphone 4s does not download emails using imap when connecting to smartermail mail server

iphone 4s does not download emails using imap when connecting to smartermail v2 mail server.
when I search - the search results show and i can view the emails, but inbox doesnt download emails - says load more messages x read..
the folders are displaying ok.
Smartermail 2 is about 10 years old ( im not upgrading as its working fine other than this issue ) imap is fine with other mail clients.
has anyone else experienced this?

Check the Mute switch, which is on the left side of the phone above the volume buttons.

from the information you provided i can't tell if it is a hardware problem or a software problem. I do have an idea though, try to press your home button and lock button at the same time.

What model iPad do you have? If it's an iPad 1, the battery may have expired and needs replacement.

You may have to force your iPad into recovery mode in order to restore the device since the update did not complete. This article explains how to do that.

Hotsync Manager 7.0.2 does not sync email Outlook 2007 Inbox using Bluetooth sync with Versamail 3.5 Reinstall seem successful, but InstallShield does not close after sync. I have to kill with Task Manager. Error message 1628: Failed to complete installation. tried using XP compatability mode for install, but it didn't work. Using Program Remove Versamail does not uninstall. I had to do it several times and then it finally was removed from program list.

I am using a Nvidia 4200M adapter in my Laptop, Driver 266.96, Direct X 11
In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

I believe the latest update of the Skype app requires a version of iOS that the iPhone 3G is not capable of running. The 3G maxes out at 4.2.1.

It depends on what Mac you have and what version of iMovie. You may need to use Firewire.

My iPad does not open up I tunes when connected. Once I manually open it does not show to be connected .. I have had this on pc before. I pod works.

Iphone Application does not download

I recently download a FREE application from itune store : Easy Diet App. Then later upgraded to 10-day diet, for a cost of USD2.99. When I purchased it, there's no download that takes place. I tried again and it says I already purchase it and download it again, but still no APP in my iphone. Can somebody help me why this is happening ? Is there a problem with the application ? How did you manage to update to 5.0.1? The current iOS is 6.1.3, and there is no supported method to update to a lower version.
Jailbroken iPhones are not supported here.

i have a problem with out going mail after install
OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
mail app : Version 7.1 (1827)
when im sending an email its not being send, the email move to outbox , and stays there , sometimes its send it after i restart mail app , but still the email been kept in the out box ,(from what i know it should move to the "sent box".
i have tried to remove and install OS x a few times , nothing change .
