IPhone 4S doesn't turn on

Hello,
Detailed below is a problem that I currently have with my iPhone 4S. The problem started this afternoon (Monday, Sept. 23) between 12:40 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
My iPhone 4S was charging (wall outlet) on my desk. I had to leave for class so I took the charger out of my phone, put the phone in my pocket, and left. When I unplugged the charger, the screen turned on like it is supposed to.
When I got to class, I realized the volume was still on so I took out my phone and switched it over to silent/vibrate except the screen didn't light up like it normally does. I started clicking the home button, but to no avail.
The on/off button on my phone does not work because it received water damage back in July. I had to turn on AssistTouch in order to turn my phone off, take screenshots, etc. Note that this happened in July and the phone has worked perfectly well since then.
I have tried plugging my phone back into the outlet, but it hasn't worked. I have also tried plugging in the phone to my computer with iTunes open, but my phone isn't recognized. For whatever reason, the phone is still warm even though it's been off for about 4 hours now.
Most of the fixes I've seen require pushing both the home and lock buttons at the same time, but my lock button is basically disabled.
Any advice, suggestions, or remedies are greatly apprecaited.

After approximately 5 and a half hours of charging, the phone turned on and was at 0%.
Not sure what caused it to turn off or come back on, but I suppose this is resolved now.

I know it can be frustrating when a button on your iPhone no longer functions. The step you mentioned to reset the iPhone would be the step I would recommend if the Sleep/Wake button did function. In this case however, it may be necessary to have your iPhone evaluated for repair. Please use the information in the attached web-link to learn about this process.

Display Iphone 3G doesn't turn off

Help me, When I lift my iPhone to my ear, the proximity sensor doesn't turns off the display to prevent inadvertent touches. The software is 2.2.1.

My iphone 5 doesn't turn on

I was using my iPhone 5 last night, and before go to sleep I plugged it to the charger for some reason this morning my phone doesn't turn on, I tried different plugs and my mac, but still... I tried another cables and remain the same. When I press the home bottom it shows like it's charging, and when I unplugged the cable from the iphone, it ask for charging... I plugged to the computer to see if at least i could transfer my photos to iPhoto or open it in iTunes... but it doesn't work. Can somebody help me on this?

If that doesn't work it may be a hardware issue. Maybe a power surge during the night. If that is the case you will need to make a Genius Bar appointment.

Iphone 5 doesn't turn on

Hi everyone
I was gifted an iPhone 5 for Christmas, however I received it from USA. I reside in the UK. The phone was working fine and all of a sudden does not turn on. I have tried everything. Even connecting to the computer it doesn't get detected.
I went to Genius Bar and they said that they cannot help me because it is a phone from outside of the EU. I believe this is false and I am pretty sure that Apple's International Warranty does allow me for service and repair.
I wish to know if I want to send the phone for repair directly to Apple, how can I do so? Or have I been given false information and genius bar in the uk can help me?

Repair has to occur in the country where it was purchased.
From this clause in the U.S. warranty:
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
Send it to a friend in the U.S. and they can send it to Apple for replacement.

I was charging it from 1300-2300 (10 hours) since the apple logo wasn't coming up but that lightning bolt sign appeared.
When I came back, my phone just has a black screen and isn't turning on.
The top menu button is practically useless and I've retries connecting it to iTunes but it doesn't even do that
I've had this iPhone for more than 3 years and with time it's worn on and so the menu button has faltered and I dunno what to do.
What can I do for it to turn on again??

By "menu button" I mean Power button -'not the home button!

I have an iphone 4S. Few days before the release of IOS7 I managed to download the beta version to my iphone. Everything was going fine until the first update of IOS7. It shuted up completelly. I manage to make it alive again, but today, it got ran out of battery and now I can't turn it on any more. I tried quite a few things. My Itunes recognizes the iphone when I plug it onto my computer, however, everytime I press the hold buttom, it doens't turn on. I've tried holding home and hold buttom as well, but everything I have is a weird screen with a big sort of finger print white in the middle of a black screen.
Do you guys know what I can do in order to solve the problem? I've restored and resetted the iphone as well, but it insists in not turning on.

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

Iphone 4 doesn't turn on help me please couldn't fix it

Well about 1 year and Iam already trying to fix it doing every thing is possible but nothing...here
here is my problem with iphone :
it stopped working and it just wont turn on and gave me all errors in itunes i saw alot of errors
frist in itunes gave me error 1600- tryed again gave me 1601 - tryed one more time 1602 +1603 and i just didn't gave up until it worked~!!!!!! but that night i woke up but hahahahahahaha like nothing happend i just searched in every thing i saw people say's hold power +home bottons but nope it didnot worked for me also
happiend with me about 8 times and every time it give me more errors
well i thought that its only way to give my iphone to main apple company yeah they fixed it but it just worked for 3 days and turned off i gave it again to same company but worked 1 month and bam stopped worked even when i try to do same thing in itunes but not responding
after iphone 5 came the software ios 6.1.3 had been added to itunes so i wanted to give a try
and it WORKED!!! but only for 2 day -_- tryed one more time just worked for 1 day

This forum do not support hacked/jailbroken iPhone. You have to go somewhere else for solution.

IPhone 4 doesn't turn on. Reset doesn't work.

For the past year, my iPhone 4 locks up every now and then (it does not let me slide to unlock) but it always began to work again after 4 or 5 force restarts. A couple days ago, this happened, but it did not work after many force restarts. I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work. It had iOS 5.1.
Also the phone has not been severly damaged or dropped in water or anything like that. Thanks!

Charge your iPhone with Wall Charger for a while, then try the Hard Reset again.
If still problems you could try a Restore.
If still problems you could try a DFU Restore.
If still problems, clean your iPhone Dock Port, with a clean dry tooth brush. See if this helps with charging or the Hard Reset.
If still problems, clean your iPhone Dock Port carefully but thoroughly with isopropyll alcohol. See if this helps.
If still problems you may need new battery or significant repair.

My iPhone 4 doesn't turn on after standing in front of the bass speakers in a party.

I've been to an electronic party yesterday and kept my phone inside my pocket during the whole evening. I was standing right in front of the bass speakers and the beats were pretty insane, so my guess is that the intense vibration in the air could've done something to it. The recharger has been plugged in for hours now and I've also tried holding the power and home buttons simultaneously, which turned it on for a few minutes but it blackened out again and won't do anything anymore. Technically it turned on when I held the home and power buttons and pressed the 'volume down' button once. I tried holding all the buttons simultaneously but nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.
