Hi, My Iphone 6 " iOS 8.1" is dropped in water, and couldn't save it back although I tried with dryer and also put it in rice bag for 3 days. The flash light was still on even though the screen shows up nothing at all when i try to switch on after 3 days I put in the rice bag. So,how much it would be cost if I can exchange with new one? Please kindly drop message about how to deal with it. Thank you.
Out of Warranty replacement on iPhone 6 is $299 US, adjust for your location.
It is highly suggested that you make a Genius Bar appointment to avoid delay
if going to an Apple store.

Controller 62It's time for a new (replacement) iPhone. Take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider. You may well receive some credit for your old one.

I have already tried to upload the photos through a computer that does not have iTunes installed because I am afraid that it will erase everything that is already on the phone. However, it states that the DCIM folder is empty yet the device only has 12 GB of memory free on a 40 GB so obviously there is data on the phone. My Verizon rep recommends just plugging it into iTunes. I have one computer that has not updated to iOS5. Any thought? Thanks in advance.
You could use a third party app on your computer, that uses the iPhone as just an external disk.
There are several like iExplorer, Diskaid, Phonedisk, etc. -
IPhone 4 was dropped in water. Need to have it repaired. Where???
iPhone 4 dropped in water. Need to know where I can get it repaired?
Take it to an Apple store. They will replace it for $149. It isn't worth repairing if it got wet.

IPhone 4s repaired from water damage and cant update
My iPhone 4s dropped in water, and I took it for repairs, when I picked it up, the guy said i should avoid Apple updates or App updates, why? His explanation was, if I update it, it will block my phone completely, and no one but Apple can fix it?
You check with Apple before handing it over to someone with a shady repair service that has an "i" in the name.
You have a hacked/jailbroken phone. Probably because whoever "repaired" the water damage replaced the logic board with one that was illegally hacked to unlock it.
Apple does not "repair" liquid damaged phones. They replace them entirely with refurbished units.
Sorry. You got ripped off. Take it to whoever fixed it and let them know that's unacceptable. Then take whatever settlement you can get from them and buy a new phone.
You will never be able to update or restore that phone without permanently bricking it. -
My iPhone randomly makes a sound like a drop of water into a puddle. I've turned off all notifications and it till does it. Any suggestions?
Do you have an app called Life360?
See this thread: My 4s started making this strange sound like a ping/water drop! What is it? -
I dropped my iphone 5 in the water, its dead and when I try to charge it the apple logo comes and goes, thats my only sign of life, I've done many after market repairs but what I want to know is if I should replace the ligntning port or the battery... or just buy a galaxy s5?
If you dropped it in water, and then plugged it in, you may very well have destroyed the battery and/or the logic board. Charging/plugging in to a power source is very damaging to wet electronic devices. There is not much you can do but replace the entire iPhone...and since you did repairs yourself Apple will not do an out-of-warranty replacement.
You can try replacing the battery, the lightning port is another issue, but I would not expect that iPhone to work again. -
I am living in Vietnam and my iPhone 5S Had been dropped in water, now it is not working any more. Since in Vietnam don't have Apple store, so can i ship to Apple store in US for refurbish/repair? what is the process for that? Thank you very much
No Apple do not accept shipping in from non US source
If you purchased the iPhone in the US then you will have to return it in person if purchased elsewhere You will have to return it to the Country it originated in person for any service -
I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? I heard something about how loading a backup from a water damaged phone could mess up the new one... is this true? I would truly appreciate the help, please let me know, thanks!
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

does it bring any harm or damage to the iphone 4s if let say there is a drop of water drop onto the iphone 4s RECEIVER??
Water and electronics are a bad combination. I've seen phones get a few drops of water on them and never work right again. Mind you, I've also seen phones (old flip phones) go through both washer and dryer and continue to work for years.
Does your phone still work? Are you experiencing any problems? If the answer to both of those questions is no, you should be okay. -
How can i reset or restore my iphone after dropping it in water
how can i reset or restore my iphone after dropping it in water????
There are a lot of posts here about your problem, read a few of them and they all come back to switching the phone off immediately and have it in a very good closed bag of dry rice for a week and advisely swith the rice for a fresh charge of dry rice every week for a number of weeks when it was really submersed. Ckuan advice times 3. The iPhone has a detector which indicates whether the iPhone was in the water, Apple can give you an indication about the price first if you visit them.

iphone 3 dropped in salt water. Appears non-functional - won't turn on. Nothing on SIM card -- had that checked. Is there ANY way to retrieve the photos and contacts. There is no backup of them.
leave the phone in rice for >24 hours to see if it will recover
you can check itunes as well to see if there are backups there from the top of the screen hit edit (itunes on mac) > preferences > devices , and see if a backup is listed
also check icloud.com to see if you had any of the information backed up there (only possible if have have a 3gs or higher)
also there are data recovery companies that can recover data even from wrecked hard drives but its not cheap, if your interested in that I would say lookup a company called drivesavers, I believe they are authorized to work on even in warranty iphones
good luck -
I dropped my iphone 4 into the water and then i tried the rice method. The rice solved the water issue but now the screen won't work. what should i do?
I guess your definition of "solved" is different from most...
Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get an out of warranty replacement.
