IPhone 4S Gyroscope Ok?

Hi, I have an iPhone 4S and when I play N.O.V.A. 2 (the free version) the crosshair sometimes kind of keeps shifting slowly to the left (i dont move the phone ofcourse) until I move then it's ok, is this normal? anybody has the same thing?

Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new first (to isolate cause of the issue). Then from backup if necessary.
Make sure iTunes is updated to the latest version

IPhone 6 Gyroscope Problem?

Does anyone have an idea about the following problem?
I have an iPhone 6 128GB . The gyroscope doesn't seem to be working properly all the time. Sometimes when the screen rotates to the side it will not rotate back when the phone is moved. Also when I take pictures it automatically rotates them to the side. It's incredibly annoying. I don't know if this is a bug in iOS eight that will be eventually worked out? Or is this a problem with my phone and I need to take it in? Thanks for any advice

I have the same problem with the gyroscope/orientation locking on my iPhone 6. I've tried a hard reset, a soft reset, changing my view to standard, etc. Nothing seems to work to correct this problem. It seems like a lot of people are having this issue, and I'm afraid it's a hardware issue. I'm going into the Apple Store tomorrow to see if they'll exchange it.

Problems using Native Extensions (Gyroscope) for iOS.

I have downloaded the Gyroscope Native Extension for Air and I'm basically trying to install it so I can use the extensions to develop an iOS AIR app that uses my iPhone's Gyroscope.
The Gyroscope Folder has been un-zipped and is placed in a folder alongside the AIR app that I'm developing. I've set the Actionscript settings to point to the gyroscope.ane file and also to the gyroscope.swc file.I don't know if the latter is necessary as I'm all new to this.
My Actionscript reads:-

I don't know where to move the files or how I can get AIR to see this .as files Should I be moving the "Com" folder somewhere better ?
I'm a relative newbie to AIR so I appologise for my ignorance. All I want is a way to get access to the x y and z values from the Gyroscope.

Remove the gyroscope folder. The only file you need is Binaries/Gyroscope.ane.
If you are using Flash CS6 link to the ane file not the swc file in the publish settings.
Also remove the line: import com.adobe.nativeExtensions.GyroscopeIntervalValue.
Sample code that you can use is in the file Eg/src/Eg.mxml.

These days I've been testing an app and gyroscope use to fail sometimes in Y axis and sometimes in Z axis. I spoke with developers' app and they are working in but I would like to know if my iPhone's gyroscope is really failed, could guaranty cover the fail for repair or replace it? I'm using the last version of iOS

What do you think you could see if you managed to snake an endoscope into the device? There are almost no moving parts and the ones that do move are mostly switches that are visible from the outside. The vibrator is kinda obvious when it fails.
The gyroscope technically moves, but that is encased inside a chip.

Thank you so much for this reply. I had already seen this reboot suggestion and actually tried it. During the night I realized that I had phrased the question wrong because I really had the issue of getting my iPhone to change to LANDSCAPE mode. For some reason I asked for help on the gyroscope Thinking that the gyroscope controlled this feature. I found that I had accidentally turned on the "orientation lock" and by bringing up the control panel from the bottom of the screen I was able to find this lock button and correct the problem. The truth is ---- the iPhone scree is so small that I was not able to see this little lock symbol at all. I found this symbol on my iPad and transferred the knowledge to my iPhone. Random crash and gyroscope problems (Iphone iOS 6.1)

Since the last iOS update (6.1). I have experienced a few problems with my Iphone 5.
First of all the day that i updated the iOS, i started getting random crashes.The screen dimmed and 2 or 3 yellow vertical lines appeared, and short after the Iphone restarted itself. The crash was happening mostly when opening the camera or any app that used the camera, but it will also restart by just browsing through the home screen (less likely). Then i noticed that some apps that use the gyroscope where locking up (like panorama 360), and a message telling me to restart the iphone because the gyro was locked up (i checked pressing home twice and the gyro wasn't locked). After the restart i worked for about 15 minutes, and the gyro would stuck up again (and the crashes were getting worse). I decided to do a factory recovery, and it solve most of the problems, but i still get 1 or 2 crashes everyday (maybe more, because i dont know if the cellphone restarts when it is in my pocket) (and it now doesnt restart by using the camera), and the gyroscope sometimes works fine, and very few times it stucks up, so i close the app that uses it, lock the gyro, give the phone a few shakes, put the gyro back on and it works again.
I'm trying to simulate the moments that the phone crashes or when the gyro stucks up, but i can't, it is just very random.
PD: The phone worked perfectly with iOS 6.0.1, could be a software problem? hardware problem?
PD2: i have used linpack to stress the phone but it doesnt crash or anything.

Voilà trois iPhones 5S passé dans mes mains, et les trois ont un problème de décalage de 3 degrés au niveau du gyroscope. Emmerdant pour jouer (ex: labyrinthe 2). J'ai essayer de restaurer mais rien à faire le problème persiste. Quelqu'un a t il le même problème ?

My iPhone 4 ( still under warranty ) has a dead gyroscope. Will Apple replace my iPhone for free?

I recently upgraded to IOS 7. Once I upgrade I noticed that the gyroscope in my phone was acting strange. Just recently it went completely dead. If I take my phone to the Apple store and they verify it as a hardware issue will they replace my iPhone? It is still under warranty. Also since Apple stopped making the iphone 4 will they give me a newer version? Thanks

If your warranty is still valid and there is no evidence of abuse (water damage, dropping, etc.) your phone will be replaced for free with the same model refurbished iPhone 4.

That's not a feature of iOS 7 on the iPhone 4. It requires a 4S or higher.

Actually, they should all be able to be used. If they're not ipad optimized or universal, then they'll look small on the ipad screen, and you'll have the option to x2 the resolution so it fills the screen. The apps look a little blurry/blocky when you blow up the iphone app screen like that, but they certainly do work.
I had a couple apps that didn't want to load onto the iPad2 when I first got it, because they used camera/gyroscope functionality that hadn't been in the iPad before, but in the course of the last week everything's updated and works okay.

I had my phone in my purse for a few hours at work and when i took it out again they were no longer working. I didn't do anything (use, touch, drop, etc.) to the phone in that time period and now my phone gets extremely hot when I'm using it or when I'm charging it and the gyroscope/accelerometer no longer work. If i try to use the compass app it just goes on the fritz and the iPhone's parallax effect makes everything shake and swirl around like crazy.
I have a small scratch/chip in the corner of my phone and the Verizon store representative said he wasn't sure if it would be considered damaged or not. The iPhone is outside of the 1 year warranty. I'm not sure what to do but i can barely use the phone now

I understand your predicament radica1! Applications some times fail when system files get corrupted. I have resolved similar issues with my iPhone by doing a hard reset, as this procedure brings the phone back to original factory settings and clears any potential system error. Syncing issues with iPhone 6 64Gig

I'm trying to put new songs/playlist on my iPhone 6 64Gig. Every time I sync my phone, iTunes says that my new playlist is on my phone, however I open my phone and it is not there. I'm getting really frustrated with this, anyone know whats going on?

I had the same issues on my 6 plus. I played around with the rotation lock an unlock. It was very annoying as the main would display upside down and when you rotate it over it rotates too. But whatever happened, I did reboot a few times, but then havent had that for a few weeks now. I am not sure if the gyroscope inside learns your style of handling the phone and then stabilizes its behavior. Its not true, but thats all I can think off.

My iPhone freezes while typing

My iphone 6 plus freezes while typing. doesn't matter if I'm typing a text message or a URL the problem is everywhere. My collegue at my work has the same problem. I can still continue to type when it freezes, and when it unfreeze the letters are filled in like there's no tomorrow. It all started with iOS 8
It doesn't matter if it is Swedish layout or English layout on the keyboard.

Hello Lim,
To get in the horizontal and enlarged keyboard of the iPhone, simply hold the iPhone or iDevice in a horizontal manner. The gyroscope in the device will automatically sense this and will make the keyboard horizontal.
P.S You could tell us the app you are using unless you are using the the default SMS/ Mail app, because some apps do not support the horizontal keyboard.
