I just Upgraded my Iphone 4S to ios7..After that,my phone doesnt work.Its been a week.Its shows only Apple Logo,then Connect to Itune.I went to the Reseller Autorised,and ask for the Apple responsibility for the product.But they refer me to a autorised service in jakarta-Indonesia..But when i ask them what happent with my hpone,they only said i need to buy new hardware(machine)for my Iphone.I just used my phone for about 18month (i bought 850USD)in 18 month i have to buy new hardware for 350$US..OMG,what is the quality of the Apple Products?I bought and really proud to use my Iphone because i believe that i can use this for long last..How is the responsibility of Apple company for this?why they selling so expensive phone but quality is crap..How can i claim for new hardware for my phone?Where should I go?To Singapore Apple Store?because we cant find in Jakarta-Indonesia..All only Autorised Reseller..

How to fix iphone 4s hardware

Hi guys,
My iphone 4s suddenly shut down and now it won't turn on. I tried plugging it into my macbook AND my windows desktop to see if I could restore it using either one, but it says that error (9) is occurring. I asked a friend about it and he said something about fixing my iphone's hardware. Can anyone show me how to do this? Please and thank you in advance.

Fixing the hardware is not something you, the user, can do. It would have to be done by an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
However, note that you likely do NOT have a hardware issue. See Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support.
Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

IPhone Problem Hardware and Software Overview

Dear iPhone Users, over the time I myself have been using the iPhone for some months and discovered some hardware and aoftware problems, with perhaps some solutions to such problems.
a) The "Dead-Flashlight" Error: This is an annoying error, which is based on a hardware problem. I read a topic on the web which pointed out:
i) There are two flashlights: Camera Flashlight and Flicker Flashlight. Camera Flashlight is adjusted near to the camera recorder, this is the exact place of error. It seems that if this light does not turn on, you've probably managed to move its original place to behind the camera lens, where it may have become non-progressive. While flicker flashlight is adjusted on the other side or portion, even if you manage to drop your iPhone this light will not lose its function.
ii) Solution: Apple company should manufacture the next product carefully, just so that in near future the company does not get defeated by competing industries. Finally, if you want to fix it, you should go see a hardware mechanic, they probably can fix it.
b) No "Adobe Flash Player": First of all, Steve Jobs, explained that Adobe Flash should not be allowed to run on iPhones due to security reasons, what are those reasons?
- Unauthorized Camera Access through Flash?
- Redirecting to virus defined websites?
- Recording the voices of a user while the Flash Object runs?
- Too much cookies (save/load object files being stored)?
- Decrease in Acceleration?
To all these I would reply: "Bull-Crap". Flash is one if the best advancements ever created, it provides benefits like:
- Most widely used for entertaining purposes.
- Allows people/users to watch flash videos at low size but at high-quality.
- Does not buffer, once loaded a flash onject video, you may stream it over and over again.
- Provides great interface for educational purposes.
- Easy to code, has examples all over the world wide web.
- Many Popular MMORPG/RPG games are available.
- Easy to upload and share.
- Has great interface.
- Almost all websites provide uploading and sharing facility.
There are many more benefits, Flash should be on the iPhones.
c) Wifi/GPRS related signal problems: The signals are very weak compared to product of Samsung Company (Samsung Galaxy Siii).
Solution: Please make a product that is worth the money people pay your company, for gods sake!
d) New Opportunity? Merge/Joint Ventures: Well, if iPhome wants to really be dominant? Then there is one company out there that will Make there next iPhone even more powerful, destroying its competitors. And when the name is displayed people rush to the iPhone stores: e.g "iPhone 6 Nexus"/iPhone 6N.
Well I might know a company, but not going to tell until I think Apple is ready.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.

Iphone 3s hardware not supported by Windows xp

I plugged in my wife's iphone 3gs phone to update in Itunes. I got a message from Windows that the hardware driver was not recognized. I was able to get in Itunes and record my device. It started updating. I came back to an error message and now Windows refuses to recognize the iphone when I plug it in and Itunes will not pull up my phone as a recognized device either. I see the iphone in backup but cannot restore it. All my phone shows is a picture of the USB cord to connect to Itunes. How do I get Windows XP to accept the Iphone hardware? Iphone 6 hardware problem!

Okay so last night I noticed that my iPhone 6 wasn't charging correctly. Despite being on charge for a lengthy amount of time, it was only showing a 31% charge. A quick Google search recommended that I perform a hard-reset and it should correct the problem. However, upon doing so, my phone became completely unaccessible despite there being no problem like this prior to the hard-reset. No matter how many times I type in my passcode, the phone just vibrates and the screen turns black. I managed to completely wipe my phone and was presented with the message that my iPhone was too hot and needed to cool down. I thought, fair enough, I'll give it an hour to cool down (even though my bedroom was cold and the phone is very cool to the touch). After leaving it for a bit, I tried again and miraculously I was presented with the option to set up my iPhone. Hurrah! I managed to re-download all my apps and thought I was on a roll until I noticed that the battery was stuck at 50% and had not budged in over 2 hours. I decided to perform another hard-reset and I'm presented with exactly the same problem again. My phone is completely unusable due to "iPhone is too hot."
I used the online chat service to speak to an Apple employee who gave me a few options to try out which sadly did nothing to help the problem. They told me it was extremely strange and that it must be a hardware defect and an Apple Genius would be the best person to help me out. I have an appointment booked for the coming Monday - but I am just wondering where I stand from a warranty standpoint?
You see, my friends reckon that I would be able to replace the phone because of the hardware defect (assuming the Apple Geniuses can't help me out), but the phone has a small crack in the top right-hand corner of the phone (not on the screen). It was my understanding any crack of that sort would go against the warranty. I have no idea how it came to crack, I'm assuming it was in my pocket, but I can live with that. But am I under warranty still with the hardware defect? I'm more than willing to pay, of course, to get it fixed, but the crack aside, the defect really wasn't my fault?

No it wasn't. The crack was on the top right hand corner of the front of the phone. To be honest it wasn't a crack it was more like a chip in the glass. Apple didn't even notice. When I got home and set up my new phone, I looked in my emails and had an email from Apple detailing the whole replacement process. They listed that the phone had a small hairline crack, but it wasn't a hairline crack, it was a chip!
Just goes to show that Apple are more than willing to help you out.

How to verify iPhone 5 hardware is original?

way. If in doubt, do not purchase. Why are you asking this question?

IPhone 5 Hardware or Software issue?

My iPhone 5 is just under a year old. Just recently I noticed that when I put the phone in silent/vibrate mode and then switch it back it doesn't revert back to normal.
I am thinking the swith may not be working properly but I can turn it off and turn it back on and it works properly.
I can't trace it back to the most recent software upgrade but it is possible that is the culprit.
Is ths a hardware or software issue?

Right here goes:
a few months ago now the flash stopped working on my iphone 4s and there's also something loose inside the phone as I can sometimes here it rattling! Also the shutter on the back camera is slightly loose..
however, yesterday I dropped my phone and cracked the screen but, as I said, it has nothing to do with the previous problems!
will apple still look at my phone and repair it?

No, since the screen is cracked that is an out of warranty replacement for $199 in the US for an iPhone 4s. Prior issues are not verifiable, and Apple does not repair iPhone 4s models. So there are no other options.

Fourth iPhone 4 hardware issue... should i give up?

Hi. If your under your 30 day contract you have the right to terminate it cuz your not satisfied. I had to go with 2 iPhones before the third one worked. Sometimes it's a batch that's affected. Try buying it outside your radius. BTW the third iPhone I had was from te device support center. Really maked shure it was not refurbished and had it for 8 months without problems. Now I have the white one. Let's see how it behaves.

Unfortunatelly I have to be very aggressive on this post. I am really dissapointed from the Apple as a company and for its services.
I have bought an Iphone 4s 64GB from an official Apple store in USA. When I purchased the phone I asked for an unlocked one and since I said that it is common sense that I am going to use outside USA also. I said to the apple guy there that I am going to use it in Greece and he said that definitelly won't be any problem with the phone. I used the phone for 2 months as long as I stayed there and then I came back in Greece and here is where the problems started.
When I put the other sim card in the phone it could not read it and I did the update of the software and the error -1 came up. Unfortunatelly I found out what the error was. After many phone calls in apple stores in US and Greece I ended up that my Iphone has to be sent in US so as to be replaced.
My question is how is it possible a worldwide collosieum company as Apple being unable to replace or repair a device that they official sell on their stores???When I bought the phone the apple guy shouldn't inform me about the limitations of the quarrantee?And what kind of limitations are these?They should protect their customers and inform about these limitations which in my point of view are stupid, at least.It is totally unacceptable for Apple being humilitated like this. My Iphone to be replaced needs to be sent in US to a relative or a friend of mine who leaves there,since they don't accept it straight to one of their stores, and him/her has to get it to the apple store and once it is repaired or replaced he/she has to get it from the store and send it back to me. Tired to read the process?Even more tyring to do all these and the worse is that I don't have anyone leaving there.I have used the phone for 2 months and have it sitting in the box for 3 months just looking at it.It would be more simple to get the phone to an apple store here in Greece replace it with a new one and leave the apple stores do their jobs and arrangements. The point is the customer to be pleased and not leave him cut his throat and try to find a solution on the problem that Apple caused to the customer. As cars for example, you buy an US car you don't need to send it to US to repair it.If you can't repair what you sell lock your products so as to work only in the area you sell them and they can be repaired,US, EU or wherever.Unfortunatelly this post stays on the Apple customers and not being read from higher "heads" in Apple so as to look at their disabilities and problems and try to become better.And there is no any way to try to send them your problems.

I am Apple user to and my damaged phone is not the only Apple device I have and I am more than pleased with these devices. But since a problem occured and noone can help me I should post my comment. Locked in what sense? Are you referring to your iPhone working only with one cell carrier? Or are you referring to the lock on the screen that requries a passcode to get into your iPhone?

IPhone 5 hardware and International warranty

I had purchased an iphone 5 from United Kingdom on september 2012. Now i am in India and the sleep/wake (power) button is not responding properly and Iphone doesnt have International warranty so i cannot replace it here. Now what exactly shoud i do to replace or repair the device in India.

That's a rumor only. Apple has not to my knowledge announced any such plan.
To end, my questions is why SHOULD I not get the support if I am willing to buy additional Apple Care locally.
As Felipe said, because Apple does not at present provide support for an iPhone ouside of the country in which the iPhone was officially sold.

Echo in iphone call - hardware or software?

I've bought a USA 1.G 16 Gb iPhone and besides ONE thing it works perfect.
I've tried 1.1.4, 2.0.0, 2.01, 2.0.2 firmware and the same problem is everywere:
The person on the other end recieves a echo of themselves when making a call. Apparently the speaker( when turned up to the max) goes down into the mic and therefore creates an echo. Turned down It's not a big problem, but I'd like to used the full volume everywere.
Lots of people have tolded me that it's too annoying, and ussually the conversation ends really quick.
Now I've tried to sell the phone but nobody wants a iphone that doesn't work perfectly.
What do I do? Is there anybody out there with an advice? Can I fix this myself?
I live in Denmark, Copenhagen and I've tried with a lots of other simcards and networks (3 simcards on 2 different networks)

Iphone 4 hardware issue (No sound on receiver)

I'm from Malaysia and I just bought an Iphone 4 2 days ago from Singapore. I just started using it today actually, and came to find out that there is no sound coming from the receiver. Its the same issue for incoming and outgoing calls. I can only hear the sound if I turn the loudspeaker icon on. I've looked through the troubleshoot for this issue, and still I can't seem to solve it. If the phone has a manufacturing issue, is it possible to get a replacement with Apple Malaysia?
