IPhone 4s, How do I do a backup on the computer? Phone says I dont have enough space to do it on it.

How do I do a backup on the computer? My phone says there isnt enough space to do it on the phone. It keeps telling me "phone needs to be backed up". Ive looked at iTunes, iCloud... Im not sure where to go to make it do a back up.
Also, I used to be able to take about over 1,000 pictures with a few videos. Well now, it only allows me about 312 pictures, with one video, then says its "FULL" and turns the camera off. I copy the pictures to my computer and delete them so I have room. But its REALLY annoying how I can now only take about 312 pictures.
Any Help would be sooo appreciated!!

The message probably means you don;t have enopugh space on iCloud to backup the Phone.
iCloud has a 5GB limit. If your backup is more than that then it won't be able to backup.
As far as backing up to your computer, just connect it to your computer, and assuming you have iTunes you can just click on the Backup button in the summary page for your Phone in iTunes.
You can follow the instructions posted by Ramzee.
As to why you can take less photos, probably because you've used more space up with different things. so there's only so much space left for your Photos.
You can look in Settings->General->Usage, to see how much space you have available as well as the App that's taking up the most space.
Also when connected to iTunes in your computer Check how large the "other" category is.
If its more that 1 to 1.2GB then you may have some corruption.

I have 2 ipads and my iphone on the same icloud account and it wont let me back it up cause I dont have enough space. So I want to move my iphone over to a new icloud account with my new apple id that i made but i dont want to delete the ipads off the old account just move the iphone to the new one. To migrate your phone to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep on the phone, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your other devices won't be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7) and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted . Then sign back in with your new Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data to the new account.

Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

Other than Apple there are only two vendors with which I have personal experience and can recommend: Crucial and OWC. People have reported problems with many other brands, yet Crucial and OWC's prices are as good as any you are likely to find. Patriot is another brand recommended by ASC contributors but I have no experience with them.
Go to Crucial and download the little app that examines your system and recommends RAM upgrade options.
Their prices are good but don't have to buy memory from them - determine what you need and buy it from Crucial or OWC / MacSales. -

Icloud cannot be used to increase internal memory of ipads, otherwise nobody would buy more expensive 32, 64, 128 gigabyte versions. Hype with "movies in the cloud" is more of itunes store, keeping movies available for you in order to download on any device. That does not go against your storage in the cloud, though.
So if you go to your computer and you purchased movie ( not rented ) you can download and watch.
There is something else to pay attention to, your ipad (if I am not mistaken) is not capable to run HD movies, make sure you do buy Standard Definition, and they will take less space on ipad. -
everytime I go to save my movie or export it a message comes up saying I dont have enough room and to close my project and reopen it, will I lose all of my work if I do what it says? how do I resolve this?
I've never have this problem before, but if you are really worried you can go to finder -> Movies -> iMovie Project.
And then you can copy that project and put it in your desktop first. If you really did lost your project, you can still put it back. It will play perfectly if your events aren't damaged -
I just backed it up. Wanted more space on my phone so after it backed up and then it updated I imported my photos onto my computer and then I lost all my pictures and want to know how to restore it when it says there is not enough space when I have not downloaded or have done anything to my phone except text from it.

The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud. -
back up from icloud to new device is not working as it is saying that I dont have enough storage, when I am only trying to use 3GB out of my 5GB allowance???
I may misunderstand your post - you "backup TO icloud" or restore from icloud to a new device. Not sure which of these you mean.
If backing up TO icloud, the problem may be that there's not enough storage on your device, not icloud, as a device needs a good bit of storage to create the backup.
If restoring from icloud to a new device and you get the error, the storage referenced must be that on the device, although that doesn't seem possible, since a device has more memory than 5GB. -
I can block a spammer on the iPhone, but how do I block a spammer on the computer's Facetime?
Hello experts! (I also posted in another category -- but then was directed here.)
With the lastest iOS update, I can now block a particular spammer from repeatedly sending Facetime requests to me on my iPhone. But the same requests keep pouring in on Facetime on my computer.
How can I block this spammer from all the requests hitting my computer's Facetime? I know I can turn off Facetime on the computer, but it seems wrong that a single spammer can force me to stop using an application on my computer.
