Iphone 4s in pocket suddenly heat up
Hi all
My 2 year old iPhone suddenly heat up quite badly when it was simply sitting in my pocket. I quickly took the phone out and notice that the battery has dropped from 70 something per cent to 9 per cent, and it was in camera mode?
Scared, I just turned the phone off.
My phone battery has a really short life and I have to recharge around 2 times a day.
How my question is:
1) would the phone release excessive amount of radiation that it would affect my well being (it is on my right pocket of my pants)?
2) would it be safe for me to use the phone again?

Nobody here( all Users like you ) will have any idea of potential stock levels but it "seems" that the 64Gb version might be easier to obtain in UK certainly via carrier's stores on contract so possibly with Apple stores too
So if your friend can purchase what ever is in stock on the day you might be lucky

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

My iphone out the blue. suddenly went into recovery mode this evening. Tried all the tricks and didnt work so plugged into computer. It said something like i had to restore to factory settings. If i do this will i loose my photos?? Im pretty sure 98% is backed up on itunes on this computer when i update my iphone a few months ago.
Thanks.just plug it in to your computer and do the factory restore, then when it is done you go thru the prompts and then it will ask if you want to restore as new phone or from backup. Choose backup and restore from itunes.

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).
It will recursively remove all '_ModGrp...' folders

When I watch YouTube videos on my iPhone 5 it sometimes suddenly drops in quality so much the whole video goes blurry and it's almost impossible to watch anything?? Help also I think it might have to do with my wifi but I'm not sure. Sometimes I also try to skip to sections of a vid and it just lags for ages and nothing happens.

You cannot turn off the Home Button. Use a passcode and you won't have that problem.

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.

If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.

My iphone 4 'phone app' suddenly won't work. It's not a microphone or other hardware problem because I can use viber normally. I have already upgraded to iOs 6.1.2 from a 5.1 (when the problem started), and even after the restore it still won't work.
This is asked and answered multiple times daily.
If you've tried a restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new as recommended in the User Guide and this fails to solve your problem, then you have a hardware failure and will need to bring your phone into Apple for replacement. -

i cant have my phone switching off randomly...any help please...thankyou.sometimes it happens, a hard reset will sometimes solve the issue.
If the issue starts happening more often, I would consider restoring the device to factory settings to install clean software. If the issue still persists after that, the device might need a hardware repair.

Hi, i've got a question about the wake for network access on my iMac 27'' (mid 2010) and snow leopard 10.6.7 in the Energy Saver options i see an option enebled by default: "wake for network access" if i restore the default settings this options will
