Iphone 4S - Internet not working on 3g

- speedtest says I'm getting 3MBS - email, twitter and imessage works. Help! Have tried resetting data and network. Powering on/off...
Thought it was a network problem but the people at ATT couldn't find a solution. Only think I got from them was that my phone was connecting to a node on the other side of the state.

I had the same after updating my 4s to ios6 on Telstra. The only way I found to fix it is:
1) go to http://www.unlockit.co.nz/
2) click on the create apn tab
3) in the carrier section scroll down to Telstra ( I selected the first of two)
4) press create apn
5) it should automatically open your settings - click install
It worked for me, good luck!

My iPhone5 internet has stopped working. I've tried turning off wifi and going to LTE twice... neither work. Tried safari (page won't load), mail (email won't download, skype (everyone offlien), and other apps. Nothing.
I've tried normal shut down and rebotted twice.
My home computer internet is working fine.

Seems to be a Rogers DNS issue. Their support line says 'all circuits busy' so i'm guess we're not the only ones.

I just dont want to have to put everything back on manualy that will take forever also i am running ios 6.1.3

Reboot your Wi-Fi router by turning it off for thirty seconds, then turn it back on. Wait until it finishes its startup routine and indicates a good connection to the internet. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I wasn't trying to access the internet. I was trying to back up I cloud. It said it would back up when connected to Wi-Fi. Also it will not down load software updates.

This sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

The iPhone 4 may not work with a cut down SIM. Get a microSIM from your carrier when you set up service.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

The other possible things you can try would include...
Inserting the lightning connector and applying a little bit of pressure up under the Home button.
Some folks have cleaned the Home button with a few drops of isopropic alochol caring to not get it on your screen. This is only going to get things working again if it has been gummed up through normal use
If you are still within the one-year warranty or extended it with Apple Care don't try any of these steps just take it to Apple.
