Iphone 4s/IOS8.1 slowed down my phone

Hi,
ever since downloading IOS 8.1 on my iPhone 4s all applications have slowed down. Another problem is that Siri now only works maybe 50% of the time telling "I'm really sorry about this but........

Well, iOS 8 has been designed for more graphically faster phones than iPhone 4S. However, you can always downgrade to iOS 7, but Apple doesn't support it. You can of course go for an upgrade. It would be worth an upgrade from iPhone 4S. Good luck!

That changes things a little bit , login to icloud.com and see if you can find it in your sent folder.
If it is there you did send, just need to wait until you phone syncs "sent folder" perhaps on wifi.
If it is not, then I would say it is lost and you may have to send again. They have 20 megs limit, so make sure that message plus attachment is under that limit.

Mine is i-phone 4 16G. Feel so sorry upgraded to IOS 7.0.4 which slow down my phone dramatically and less responsive with the touch screen. And in times it frozen on me, the worst. Anyone has the magic wand to downgrade the IOS back to 5 o 6...

IPhone 4s cover flow slow down and jerky help

Hi all
i have copied my music over from my backup 3GS to iPhone 4s but in cover flow it is very very jerky and not as smooth at all, my 3gs is way smoother an much better than on the iphone 4s it even has problems loading the covers up as there is a delay in doing so as it seems to b slow
whats happend there not as good as my 3GS
So i tried to remove all songs and turned off the iPhone and powered the phone back up and put the music back on and its still jerky and not as smooth what the hells going on this phone should breeze through cover flow view
My 3GS is still on iOS 4 does anyon have the same problems ? Try to scroll fast and it just jerks and slows down but like I say not on the 3gs

Hi, I have the same problem with my 4s. After reading all the suggestion on this and simmilar forums I checked my picture files assigned to my albums. I selected in iTunes an album, then right click to get pop up menu, selected "get info. Then I went to artwork, copied it (right click, copy), then I copied the picture to picture editor to see the properties. I noticed that some of my pictures assigned to albums are huge, something like 2000 x 2000 pix.
When I repliced them with smaller ones, i.e. max 600 x 600, everything become smoth. Now my cover flow work perfectly as it should be. Definitly ther must be something wrong with iOS5 because before I did not notice such a problem on 3GS of 4 model, even I had the big picture assigned to the album

IPhone 3G screen response slowing down with OS updates

My iPhone is getting slower with every new update of the OS. Sliding bar, received SMS list...generally every screen presentation now takes 1 or more seconds to display. This has only slowed down after the last couple of OS updates. Not happy...it used to have an instant response. Is the new programming for the new iPhone 4 included slowing down the OS for iPhone 3G?

iOs4x definitely does slow down a 3G. The 3G just doesn't have a powerful enough processor.
One trick that seems to make a big difference is to switch off Spotleight indexing. Go to Settings, General, Spotlight Search amd deselect all items.

New Os 10.3.1.2243 slowed down my phone consiberably.

Prior to this new OS update, I was using OS 10.3.1.1154 in which I couldn't charge my phone when powered off. However, with this update, it sorted out my previous issue but my phone slowed down considerably. Now, it takes time to type and BBM is so buggy.

Make sure your BBM app is up to date in BBWorld. Also reboot the device a few times.

Iphone 6 iOS8.1 shutting down

I updated my iPhone 6 to iOS8.1 last night. Since the phone keeps shutting down every few minutes, requiring a hard restart to turn back on. When it's on the wifi doesn't work. Before the upgrade, my phone would randomly restart (which was a pain, but at least it restarted). Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Today I went to check I received from the issue
They made me reset the device and return it to me
For an hour after I left the iPhone turns off 4 times
I went back to Cellcom They told me they needs to send the iPhone to Apple and I have to wait 45 business days until I get it back
Why the **** did I have to wait 45 days?! ??! This new iPhone! I will not open it and I will replace components.
Then I want a new iPhone!
It is important to note that:
The iPhone did not fall once
Not touched a drop of water
I think it's a shame Apple Now I have to wait 45 business days to get the iPhone back
I paid him NIS 4600 this $ 1300 and I am currently without a phone 45 business days

Why does new update slow down my phone 4?

I have downloaded the new update and my phone is acting so messed up. Any info as to why, and possible fixes? Screen freezes, takes a long time to move from page to page and loads pages slow. Any info is appreciated.

Thats a hard question to answer. The iPhone 4 has older technology than newer models which can cause the device to lag. Depending on what data and settings you have on the device, it could run slower. I would probably make sure to constantly close apps in multitasking and possible think about restoring the device as a new device. Make sure to backup your data prior to the restore

My iPhone's UI is slowing down

I am noticing a slowdown in the interface. When leaving/entering the springboard, it noticeably lags, like my 3G used to do. Transitions stutter when sliding left/right, etc.
Not liking this at all.
Other than restarting the phone, is there anything else I can do to "clear" the phone? Maybe a full reset, then re-sync?

How often do you power your iPhone off and on?
Some of the 3rd party apps you are using may have a memory leak or the memory used by the app is not completely freed up when quitting the app.
You can power the iPhone off and on, or do an iPhone reset which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. If I start noticing a lag after a few days or at any time, I usually do an iPhone reset which is similar to a computer restart and does not affect any data or settings.
If no change after either one, you can restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, but this will not prevent a memory leak with a 3rd party app is any of the apps you are using have a memory leak.

Will the iPhone 6.1.3 update slow down my iPhone 4?

I've been a little reluctant to update my iPhone 4 from ios 5.0.1 to 6.1.3 because I'm worried that it will severely slow down my phone. I had this problem happen to me before with my iPhone 3. Every time I updated the softwear, my phone got slower and slower. I like some of the new features of the recent updates to the iPhone softwear, but I'm just afraid that it will make the phone slower than it already is.
I'd love to get the new iPhone 5, but I recently lost my job and just can't afford it.

Sorry, but I disagree with your post. I have 4 iPhones in my household and none of them have poor battery life and the wifi is working on all 4 of the, so that shoots your theory out of the water, unless I don't count as part of "everyone else".

my iphone 3GS is drastically slowing down. its on the original ones, not the more recent upgraded 3GS. its crashin a lot on apps and very very slow. I have Match on it. Any advice to help it along until sept and the next iphone [hopefully].
one thign it does it it will not download posdcasts, even on Wifi. Says 'unable to download podcast'...???

you can try doing a reset - hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for you phone to boot back up.

I downloaded the iOS 8 update for my 4s and my phone has slowed to a point where it is too frustrating to use. I am in the market for a new phone and was considering upgrading to the iPhone 6 because I have really enjoyed my 4s over the years. Between the facebook updates (slowed the app to an unusable state), iOS 8 (made my phone even slower and killed the battery), and what apple did with the new U2 album I have decided to go with an Android phone.
