Iphone 4s itunes music player gone haywire.

I plugged my phone into my computer and clicked "restore backup". Now when I open up my music in my iphone it starts skipping and rapidly going through songs and won't play anything. I tried syncing my itunes library and my phone.
The moment I click on my music app all of my albums start flashing before my eyes. It just won't stop cycling though.

Not sure why you are having problems. I have had no problems with my 4S playing music after the update. Hopefully you will get it worked out.

check the itunes folder location. preferences>advanced>general.
just you know check if it's pointing in the right direction.

I'm using my iPhone as a music player at work. I have a power cable (one that plugs into the wall, not a computer) and am wondering if it will harm my battery's longevity if I leave the power connected all day.

You do not have to worry about your iPhone overcharging, but all li-ion batteries need to get some "exercise," so be sure you use the phone on battery power from time to time to ensure longest battery life.

'Itunes music player' file- HELP ME

I recently downloaded (legally- so it should work) an album online and it saved into my downloads on my computer as an itunes music player file. i cannot get it to open or play on my itunes, anyone know how i can do this? thanks.

A .zip file is a compressed archive and needs to be uncompressed with an unzip utility such as WinZip. That should give you the actual track files which you can drag into iTunes.

I downloaded a music file from the internet that is an iTunes music player file, and now when I try to import it to iTunes it won't open or even if I just try to open the file it brings up iTunes, but no music is opened or played. I've tried to change the file's format through iTunes but i couldn't figure that out and I've tried to save it as a different type of file when I downloaded but that didn't work either. HELP PLEASE! I WANT MY MUSIC!!

How do I use my original iphone as a music player?

I've upgraded my iphones through the years, but I always kept my first one. It's an 8GB original iphone, and I'd like to give it to my 12 year old to use as a music player with itunes. I tried connecting it to my current itunes (11.0.3.42), and it doesn't even recognize a device is connected. It just displays the icon of a USB connector and an arrow pointing to an itunes icon.
Do I need to install an old version itunes to make it work? Where do I find links to old itunes downloads?

I'm not sure what you've tried already, but have you considered reset, restore or both? I had recently done this to my iPhone-1st Gen for a different reason. After the restore, make sure to give the iPhone-1 a separate name from your main mobile device.
The new name is only so you can recognize the different sync settings and playlists on the older device. iTunes software can tell the difference wheter you rename or not. Just make sure that you always use the correct backup when you sync, reset or restore.
How to Reset
Two Button Reset.
This is the least likely to result in loss of data. Read that again, especially the phrase "least likley."
Disconnect the iDevice from the computer.
Press and hold both the home and the sleep/wake buttons (ignore the red slider) until you see the silver Apple logo.
When you see the logo, let both buttons go.
If this worked, you should see an icon instructing you to connect to iTunes. My guess is that the reset did not work.
How to Restore
DFU Restore
This will very likley result in loss of data.
Connect the iDevice to the computer.
Ensure that it is running the latest version of iTunes and that it has access to the internet.
Press and hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons for exactly eight seconds.
Release only the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the home button for another five seconds.
Let go of the home button, then look at the computer screen for an instructional popup.
The popup should say "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode. . .(etc)" Click accept to all boxes and let iTunes download and install all of the latest device Firmware and Software.
If no popup appears, repeat the above DFU instructions. If you've never done a DFU, it may take about three attempts to get the timing right.

i had a problem with my wifes iphone 4s, today morning while travelling to work i changed a setting on repeat option and changed it to repeat artist, it was fine until when i finish my work and on my way back i found songs are not playing anymore, lots of stop signs next to my song list, play/pause button not working, album arkwork keep moving from one to another on its own, so after i reach home i try to do some research on Apple support communities, try to soft reset my phone closing all the apps on background didnt work, also note that control centre music player was not working as well. none of the solutions worked. after trying for two hours i found out that the trouble is in repeat options , so i changed it from repeat artist to repeat off. and the music start playing as usual, but i still have those stop buttons next to the songs i tried to play earlier. At least it fixed temporarily. please also note that in the meantime i tried to sync my phone with the pc and suddenly its start syncing all the songs again assuming there were no songs on my iphone. so guys i think soft reset might not help all the time but try to remember what settings you changed recently and change it back to the original option, not sure ,but it might help. hopin this will help some of you out there. and i already feed it back to Apple, so hopefully they will fix it soon.

Why Can't I Download my Podcast from the iPhone's iTunes Music Store

Newbie here and was hoping if someone could help me. I recently submitted my podcast feed at the itunes music store and is now currently searchable if i use my itune client on my Mac. No problem on subscribing and everything works great. Now when I search it in the itunes music store via my iphone, I can still search it, and it has 2 reviews but it seems that all episodes are grayed out. I can't do anything with it. I can't download it whatsoever.
Anyone out there with the same issues I'm having? Is it my feed or my phone?

i just tried subscribing, and when i do, i am unable to download any of the podcasts, nor am i able to listen to them in iTunes.
i was able to find your podcast in my iPhone, but i was not able to get it to download like i can with other podcasts.

Everything in iTunes Music Library GONE!!!

I opened iTunes and there was nothing. Luckily I have what I want on my iPod, but why did it do that? I logged into another computer to the iTunes Music Store and didnt log off. Is that why? The next sync with such a device will take longer and may reset some options since your rebuilt library isn't familiar to the device.
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Locate your iTunes folder (this is the folder that contains the iTunes Library and iTunes Library.xml files).

/Users/[your username]/Music
Microsoft Windows XP

5. Drag the following file from your iTunes folder to the Trash:

"iTunes Library" or "iTunes Library.itl"
Microsoft Windows
"iTunes Library.itl"
6. Open iTunes.
Important: Do not add any content into iTunes at this point (such as by purchasing something from the iTunes Store).
7. Choose File > Library > Import Playlist.
8. Navigate to the "iTunes Library.xml" file on the Desktop.
Mac users: Click Choose.
Windows users: Click Open.
If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.

IPhone 4s iOS6 Music Player Sleep Function

Am I missung something in the music player on the iPhone. Is there no Sleep Function? If there is no sleep function how could Apple overlook this feature. I remember having it on my iPod Classic.

Music Player gone after 10.2 update

4 days ago I updated the OS to 10.2. After a reboot, my music player was gone. No more icon. And clicking on playlist files resulted in an error message stating that the file type was unsupported or something like that.
Is there anyway to get it back? Would a phone reset help? Althought I think I'd rather just pay for another player than go thru that.
* Other than that everything else works perfectly. Great upgrade.

I recently got a new computer. On my old one though I made a shared file and i copied things from my documents into it including the itunes setup and installer things. When i clicked on itunes it came up but all my music was gone from my library. Is there a way 2 get it back and then also transfer it to my new computer.

However to answer your query, you could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you may be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download however they are not under any obligation to do so. The policy on lost songs is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."

Sync problem between iPhone and iTunes (Music&Books)

Hello, I have a synchronization problem between the macbook and iPhone 5S. On the macbook I've Maverik updated and also the Iphone is updated.
First problem: the timing so long, especially at the step of applications, compared to when it was fast, applications have not changed.
Second problem: the music, I flagged "synchronizes the selected music" but all the flags on the selected artists are missing, despite what the music is on iPhone . I tried to flag again on itunes but all song was duplicate in Iphone.
Third problem: the books, it happens the same music.
The problem does not occur with the photo with the ringtones and videos.
I've tried everything from simple restart of the mac and the iPhone, checked and updated macbook, iPhone and itunes. Repaired permissions on the mac.
What can I do?

Ciao, da un po' di giorni ho un problema di sincronizzazione fra il macbook e l' Iphone 5S. Sul macbook ho Maverik aggiornato e anche il telefono non JB è aggiornato.
Primo problema: la sincronizzazione dura tanto, sopratutto allo step delle applicazioni, rispetto a quando era veloce le applicazioni non sono cambiate.
Secondo problema: la musica, ho flaggato "sincronizza la musica selezionata" ma sono spariti tutti i flag sugli artisti selezionati, ciò nonostante la musica è presente sull' iphone. Ho provato a riselezionarli e me li duplica tutti.
Terzo problema: i libri, succede la stessa della musica.
Il problema non si manifesta con le foto con le suonerie e i video.
Ho provato di tutto a partire dal semplice riavvio del mac e del telefono, controllato e aggiornato macbook, telefono e itunes. Riparato permessi sul mac.
Cosa posso fare?
