IPhone 4s little advise needed.
Hi everyone, I have an Audi TT which has a factory fitted iPhone 4 cradle, what I need to know if possible, will the iPhone 4s still work in the iphone 4 cradle or will I need to buy a new one for the 4s?

The only external physical difference betwwen the 4 and 4S is the buttons on the 4S are positioned like the CDMA (Verizon) iPhone 4. The postion of the volume and mute switch vary only slightly from the GSM iPhone 4. So, I would say that the iPhone 4S should fit the iPhone 4 cradle.

Hello. I have an iPhone 4S. I need to get a picture sent to me a little over a month ago. It is still in iMessages in a conversation. However, as i scroll up and click on the picture, iMessages closes down on me. Is there anything I can do to get this picture?
Close out of the message app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up.
Then check and see if you can save the pic. -

I tried upgrading to leopard, even bought the software and brought it home but it wouldn't let me. So i went back to apple, gave them the specifications of the machine and been told my machine is simply too old for leopard. This is incredible to me because it really isn't THAT old (i think just a little over 6 years maybe) and yet i'm left out on the curb when it comes to using newer apple products. I understand technology moves on but the mindset that i am supposed to dump a perfectly working machine after a couple of years or face not being able to use any other apple product is counter to what thought apple was about. -
I have updated to itunes 10.5 on my Mac computer and now it doesn't recognize my iphones and says i need to install a device driver but when i try to install it it throws up a notification saying an error occured and to contact the makers of my device 's suppot website. Anyone know?

THAT fellow actually off my phone at my last location.I dont have sim on that i phone.I am trying to trace the iphone through find my phone but it showing offline. When I try to open a spreadsheet on my Mac that I worked on with my iPhone, I get "You need a newer version of Numbers to open this spreadsheet." When I go to the App store, it says I already have it. I have v. 2.3 and can't seem to download newer version.
If you are running Mavericks, and the Mac App store says you are up to date, then you have Numbers 3.2 as well as Numbers 2.3. You are getting the "Need a newer version message because your Mac is trying to open the document using Numbers 2.3.
Launch Numbers 3, then open the document from within that app, or right click/control-click the document and choose Open with Numbers 3.x.

I have all my music in iTunes and have "Music Match" turned on. Apparently, I also have music on my iPhone 5. I need to free up space on my iPhone. If I delete the music on my iPhone, will it still be available to me on my phone via the cloud?
The same is true for photo's. I have too many photo's on my phone taking up space. Now I realize I can remove a lot of the photo's via sync options, but ...This can happen if iTunes gets confused about what is and isn't on the device. These steps should resolve.
Backup the device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.

I have an Iphone 36s. I need to get contents of messages that were sent on the phone in June of this year. I read online that the phone has an internal storage that keeps all data when phone is used and that this internal storage can be accessed. I need the contents of particular messages for evidence in court. How do I get into the internal storage? I've tried some of the methods that people post online, but none of them have been successful. Help!
If you still have a backup from that point in time as part ofr your computer backup history, you could restore the backup folder, restore the phone from that backup and have the messages on the phone.

Update: I reset my phone again and this time I restored it from my last iCloud backup. That "sort of" worked. (The missing info was on my phone temporarily, but it's still missing from iCloud.com and as the phone syncs with the cloud the missing contacts are disappearing.)

My iphone 3gs says I need to restore my phone with itunes. when i connect the phone it says i need to unlock the phone which i cannont due because of the caution on the phone. How do i fix this?
Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.

It should have backed up automatically at the start of the update process. And you should be saving photos from your phone to your computer regularly, just like you would with any digital camera. If you were not doing this you MAY lose the photos, but if your backup at the start of the update was successful you will not. Just DO NOT sync after the update, until you have restore the backup and verified that it is OK.
What error message did you get during the update? Before you restore do the following:
Reboot your computer
Connect to a USB port on the computer directly, not a hub
disable your antivirus and firewall
Launch iTunes
Finally, connect the phone and restore. -

I connected it to iTunes as my phone suggested and i still could not activate it. This is quite frustrating as this does not allow me to use my cell phone for anything and I need it for many things.
It would have saved to your camera roll. Connect the phone to your Air via a USB cable and then run Image Capture which is located either in your Utilities folder or Other folder, depending on what version of Mac OS X your are running. You will then see all the photos and videos stored on your iPhone and can then download them.
