IPhone 4s losing battery life really fast. How do I fix it?

Hello,
For the past 2 weeks my iPhone 4s has been losing charge very fast. Often it won't charge fully over night, and then it takes at least an hour to die down to 30% while I'm barely using it.
When I first noticed what was happening I went to charge it as usual at night and it was on 16% and while on charge it dropped down to 12%. I just thought it wasn't connected properly, although it had the charging symbol next to the battery, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in again. It bumped up to 14% instantly and did not move at all for half an hour... 2 days after that I tried resetting it completely, as it may have been an iOS 8 issue (I updated to that about 3 weeks after the release) and that seemed to be fine for a day or so and then it was back to being half dead instantly. What can I do?
Please help, I'm in year 12 and currently preparing for exams, I don't have time to mess around.

Attach it to your computer, open up iTunes on your computer and restore.

You have not provided enough info to really help. How fast is fast?
What shows it will not stay charged?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Wiat for an iOS udate since may be  bug in iOS 8

  • Iphone 4S losing battery life VERY quickly

Just recently my Iphone 4S has been losing battery life VERY quickly.  I have heard that it may have something to do with a IOS update.  I also have heard from several people that they have suddenly been experiencing the same thing.  Does anyone have a fix to problem?  If so, how?

Many people are having similar issues, especially since the release of iOS6. I went to the Apple store and the first and only thing the fellow did was disable location serivces for the apps that did not really need it, and that doubled my battery life.

  • Since upgrading my 4s to ios7 i cannot turn on my wifi and my battery life is halved how can i fix these probe?

my tech nephew told me to reinstall io7 as it has been updated to resolve these problems (cannot access wifi and battery life is halved) Is this true and what's the best way to reinstall ios7?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

  • Just got my iPad 2 three days ago and noticed the battery life drops faster than I expected at least compared to the others ones around

Just got my iPad 2 three days ago and noticed the battery life drops faster than I expected at least compared to the others ones around, please I need to know the cause and how to effect necessary changes that will prolong the battery life as I have gone through the settings which includes turning off the push notifications, reduce brightness and so on but that doesn't seem to help much.

    FYI
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Updated new iphone 4s and battery life is poor

Since I upgraded my new iphone 4s the battery life has become really poor. As soon as its unplugged its lost life!
Is this going to be fixed?

Depending on the settings for your social media apps, your usage can very. If, for example, Facebook is checking the status to often, your battery is more likely to be drained. Same for mail and other push/fetch services.
Sometimes it helps to delete the account and set it up again, there have been cases in which those apps got stuck trying to connect to their servers.
If you restored the phone from the latest backup you made, did you reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for at least 10sec, until the Apple logo came back again?

  • IPhone 4S: Poor Battery Life

After I got my iPhone 4S the battery life has been really bad compared to my iPod Touch. It does anyone have any suggestions? Yes i have tried restoring the software and setting it up as a new phone.

You can't compare the iPhone's battery life to an iPod Touch - apples and oranges.

my battery finishes fastly how can i fix it

The iPod and the iPhone battery, drains very quickly. Either you play games or listening to music. It's natural. You just have to charge it every time. For me it's like every two days.

I am losing battery time so fast I have to charge phone everyday under light use. Fast battery erin started after loading latest IOS version 7.1. What is fix?

Charging a smartphone on a daily basis has pretty much been par for the course for 7 years now unless you just don't use it at all...
Maybe you could clarify just how much it's draining and with what kind of usage...
Look at Settings>General>Usage... scroll down and look at the statistics for usage and standby. Keep track of this for a day or so.

  • IPhone 6, bad battery life

I just bought a new iPhone 6. It works fine and all, but the battery drains really fast. I have 5 fiends who also have an iPhone 6 and they say there battery last at way longer than mine (50% at the end of an school day with regular use, mine is about 20% at the end of the day with minimal use) I have adjusted the settings so the battery would last longer, otherwise It won't even make it trough the day.
Note, I have uploaded an iCloud Backup I have used since my iphone 3 (iPhone 3-iPhone 4-iPhone 6) some say that might be it.
so could it be a production error? or is it something with my backup I loaded on my new Phone?
I hope you guys can help me.

A restore to new would be the preferred method. Before you reinstall any apps or data monitor the battery usage for a while and see if it has helped. (You can also monitor battery usage in Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage.) After that reinstall the apps from iTunes, preferably one at a time, to see if it's an app problem then your data. Here are a couple of links that may help you.
