IPhone 4S: No iPhone option when creating or editing a contact's phone number...

Have already synced, competely updated iOS and done a hard restart. Please advise.

a couple of times I synced my phone and it changed my phone number in itunes, and in settings>phone>my number
the problem was resolved by resetting the phone... though before I realized it, when I dialed my voicemail, it dialed the alternate number... which was a government facility.... not very fun.
The phone worked normally calling other people though and all other functions worked properly as well...
Has anyone else experienced this?

Cool - yeah I grabbed that script as well. Going to go through my library and run that one as well. Seems to only be able to handle X amount of tracks at a time so will have to do it step by step. I have about 21000 tracks in my library and it didn't like doing all at one time
Its fine if it compresses the images a bit - not a big deal. Its only on my phone so its fine. I'm probably a bit anal about things but I hate having tracks on my phone with no images - if there are images available.

You've never used Excel? You can delete multiple rows or columns with ease.
Yahoo mail gives you an option, by checking a box preceeding the messages, to move or cancel selected (range) messages in mass. I use it daily.
Outlook and Outlook Express both give you the option to cancel a range of messages, highlight the first message, shift key held, highlight the last message, delete.

Can't find 1:1.85 aspect option when creating Project.
I have files shot on Canon C300 in 16:9, but we had the 1:1.85 aspect lines on the camera and I can't figure out how to incorporate those frame lines for editing.
Is the best way to do it when creating the project? Or is the best way to edit the files in 16:9 and mask the final product?

I just sent a text message to someone else with an iPhone and it came through from my email address instead of my phone number.

I just sent a test message to someone I just met from my iPhone to her iPhone and it came through from my email address instead of my phone number. This seems very strange. Anyone know why this might happen? It seems like a potentially big privacy problem.

likely the iMessage feature it does so to save you money as sms's are mostly charged by the sms where data is not

I understand all of this Meg; that is why I bought an Iphone; but never expected my phone not even give a at least a 24 or even 12 hours....I work 12 hour shifts and also would expect to have to charge each night but not twice a day or more. I am not always somewhere I can charge my phone.

In iTunes if you have your contacts synced to Address Book just open address book on your computer and start editing.

In your settings... you have the "My info" VCARD selection with someone else and not your info... just change that and yo'll get what you're expecting to hear when you ask Siri that...

Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

Why is radio appearing first when I'm trying to add a phone number to my iphone contacts?

Radio button appears first when I want to add a new contacts phone number. I never changed anything and certainly do not have custom fields. Wouldn't know how to add a custom field anyway. I use Exchange. Why is this happening, I see no option to select mobile or home as one or two on what i would select when adding a new number, just have to hit "add phone" add phone" "add phone" eight times till i get to mobile finally. I think there was a drop down list on my phone before to select when adding a new number." And who uses a radio phone anyway, what is it? I'm running version 7.0.6 on my iphone 5.

Different contact options when creating a new text message

Hi all,
On my Q10, I have the following "issue":
When I want to type a new sms message to somebody listed in my contacts, I get not only the mobile phone number linked to that contact person but also e-mail addresses, fixed number...
Is there any way I can change a setting for this so that only mobile numbers are displayed while creating a new text message (SMS)? Fixed phone number and mail addresses are just not relevant.
On the other hand, when I want to create a new e-mail, I only see the mail addresses of my contact I am sending to.
In my blackberry HUB I have following account (most probably the reason why I see other contact details while creating new text messages):

LinkedIn
Please advise.

Can a friend activate an iphone 4S that I purchase through my upgrade with her account and phone number?

I want to buy an iphone 4S with my upgrade through AT&T and give it to my friend. Will she be able to activate it through her own itunes account with her phone number and AT&T account, or will the phone somehow be linked to my account and phone number when I upgrade so that no one else can activate it? I plan to purchase it through the AT&T website so it will be delivered to my home.

Clean out the charging port--make sure there's no dust or debris in there. If that fails to solve the issue, bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

How do I choose an image when creating or updating a Contact?

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and I'm converting all of my contacts (from various accounts) to use the iCloud service, and all is going very well except for one small thing. When I either update or create a new contact via the Contacts application, I cannot choose a custom image to associate with a contact. The application only allows me to choose from a list of "Defaults", "Recently Used" or allows me to take a picture from my computer's camera. It seems odd that I can't simply select any image from my hard drive (or from iPhoto), but maybe I haven't set something up correctly.
The web interface for iCloud allows me to select a custom image from my hard drive so I have a work around, but its a bit clunky to do a lot of them.
Anyone else having this problem?

When you're in the contact photo edit screen, in the bottom right there is another edit button, click that and drag and drop the desired image in there, scale it as desired, save.

Change name of publishedcollection when creating or editing

I need to change the name of the publishcollection when the collection is created or edited. This is to make sure the collection name matchs the name of the one on the remote server. I have tried the following code and it executes ok, but in the end the name of the collection is not changed.
here is the code

I've tested your second version of your code, and although I can't find why the name isn't fixed, I get an error, only when creating a new collection:
"We can only wait from within a task"
I found this at the Adobe documentation for pubCollection:getName():
"This function must be called from within an asynchronous task started using LrTasks. Must not be called from within the same catalog:with___WriteAccessDo gate in which the collection object was created."
I'm very new to Lua and LR development, but I hope this helps.
