Iphone 4s only shows white apple
1 I reset my apple 4s to original factory settings.
2 I connected it to my itunes and updated the iphone for over 1 hour.
3 Now, it is still the same I cannot start the Iphone.

Why is my iPhone 4 only showing the apple logo?
I was using my phone to surf the web and next thing I know it shuts off. Now all it does is show me the apple logo which fades after about 40 seconds and than reappears. I've tried to reset it, turn it off, and hook it up to iTunes but absolutely nothing works. It just keeps fading in and out of the apple logo. It's not jailbroken or anything.
I would remove a song that has the button and reload it to see if it plays then. The songs may have gotten corrupted in the loading process.

I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry. -
Tried to open an app and my iPad gen one froze. It only shows the apple on black screen and will show the operating wheel sometimes and while plugged in it will beep every few minutes. Will not load one show anything on screen but the small white apple.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

can't locate the serial number the phone only shows the apple icon I charged it. I will only show the apple icon?
If you decide that you want to Restore the iPhone Firmware then. Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button for about another 20 seconds, until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode. If the iPhone screen is black this is good. Restore the iPhone Firmware. If you get Recovery Mode but the iPhone shows the iTunes screen you can try to Restore, but if it fails, do the instructions again until you get Recovery Mode with black iPhone screen.

after i upgrade to ios 7.0.4 my iphone didn't work, only show a apple logo then dissapare again, and it happed almost a hour.
Try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds.

i was upgrading my iphone to ios6.1.2; the upgrading had been completed and starting to install but suddenly the wi fi connection lost and the installation couldn't be completed. I was looking through my pictures and when i tapped to see a specific one my ipod blacked out. Now the screen only shows the apple icon and I cant go anywhere. I tried preshing the on/off and home button but it won't work. I even pressed both at the same time for 10 seconds and still nothing... I connected it to my lap top and went to my itunes account but it tells me that the device that i just plugged in has an error.
