Iphone 4s photo albums are blank

i can take a photo easy enough but i cant see it when i click on the thumbnail nor will it save to the iphone photo album ....
when i go into the photo album all of my 300 odd photos are gone  ie all photos 0  recently deleted 0  and the message "restoring" is down the bottom of the screen
what has happened and how can i fix this??

I also have this exact same issue and am desperate to figure it out. It's undoubtedly contributing to the battery issue. Check out screenshot below (been like this for 2 days now):

  • Hi, I need help.  yesterday I copied one of my photo albums from my computer to Ipad 6 , using itunes.  The album was successfully copied but my already few existing photo albums are suddenly empty,  The album title is there but no photos inside.

    Hi
Need your help. Some of my photo albums are showing as  a blank after copying a photo album from my computer to ipad 6 using itunes.  Can anyone help.,  Those albums were my treasure and i do not have any back of those.

It's better to post the URL of the feed (as you have subsequently done) than the contents of the feed .
From the FeedValidator report the feed is basically OK for iTunes. There are several occasions where 'content:encoded' sections (following immediately on 'guid' tags) should be enclosed in
    <description>...</description>
tags: however all this will be ignored by iTunes anyway and only applies to other readers. The 'potentially dangerous content' referred to by FeedValidator is within the 'content:encoded' tags and so isn't relevant to iTunes. They are referring to an inline css style, and I don't know whether this might cause a problem elsewhere.
You should really have a language tag, e.g.
    <language>en-us</language>
(you have a dc:language tag but that's for a different system). This should be placed in the top section, before the first 'item' tag.
It's advisable to have an 'itunes:explicit' tag for each 'item' -
<itunes:explicit>yes IF CONTAINS ADULT MATERIAL, OTHERWISE no</itunes:explicit>
it's not compulsory if you have no adult material, but you must have a 'yes' if you do.
You can check your feed by subscribing in iTunes from the 'Advanced' menu - this has the same result as clicking the 'Subscribe' button on the Store page. If it works OK there you are ready to submit it.

  • How to sync an iphone created photo album with aperture

    hello,
how can I do to sync a iPhone created Photo Album with Aperture?.
First of all, I created a new Photo Album on my iPhone (IOS 5.x), then I want it to sync with Apple Aperture 3, but Aperture created no new Album in the Project Folder. What can I do?
    Best Regards
    Sigi

If the album was placed on the phone by syncing photos from a computer to the phone, the way to remove it is to sync again but this time remove the checkmark in front of "Sync Photos From" on the photos page of iTunes (if you want to remove all previously synced photos) or change the selection of photos in iTunes to be synce. Each time you sync photos using iTunes it sets the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone to match the current settings/photo selection in iTunes.

  • I tried restoring deleted photos, now my i photo albums are showing blank spaces with question marks on where there should be photos!!

Can someone help me! I tried restoring deleted photos using time machine...I know I shouldn't have fiddled! When i went back to my i photo albums some of the photos had disappeared and in the space was a grey square with a question mark in. The photo still shows in the top area but i can't put it into a space. I have i photo 08. I don't know if it is an i photo album problem or I have in some way corrupted some of my photos. When i right click on the question mark the photo appears and I can drag back to the top area, it just won't show up in the album. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Is there a way to transfer all of my photos in my iPhone's Photo Albums and Events to my new macbook?

My MacBook's hardrive failed. My only backup for iPhoto is on my iPhone. I bought a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to restore all the Photo Albums and Events from my iPhone. Is there a 3rd party app that is capable of this?
I downloaded iMacsoft to transfer music, books, etc. But it will only transfer photos in my iPhone's Camera Roll.

Are these photos on your iPhone?  Can you actually see them?  If so, then iCloud should see them as well.  All else fails, plug in the iPhone via a USB cable into the new Mac and iPhoto will launch showing you what photos you can import in.
Again, the old photos in question MUST be on the iPhone (i.e. you at one time sync'd your entire photo library to your iPhone, which to my knowledge also makes it available to the iCloud backup if you have enough room).
No, it is not easy to get synced photos back to the Mac. An iCloud backup does not include the synced photos nor the Photo Stream photos. See:
    iCloud: Backup and restore overview
One way to save the synced photos back to the Mac is to save them to the Camera Roll. This requires extra space on the device and much tapping, because it is not easy to save all photos at once to the Camera Roll. It would be easier with iPhoto iOS. Here you can share the the synced photos to iTunes and then save them using iTunes photo sharing on your Mac. In iPhoto you can select ranges of photos to share - much less tapping required.  See:  http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/#blnk7d8f763e
Use your photos in any app by saving them to the Camera Roll.
Import photos directly into iPhoto or Aperture on your computer.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.

  • In IOS5, Photo Albums are no longer sorted by Album name?

Ouch!   I have been using photos on my iPhone (now the 4s) for years, and always synched with my PC where I use Photoshop Elements.   I carefully organize  my photos, put them in albums, and then sync to my iPhone.   My album names are titles like "Vacation in California"," John's 30th Birthday Party", etc. It's great because whether on my phone or on the PC, I can find my photo albums easilly.   They are, of course, listed alphabetically by the name I give the album.
But no longer.   Album names on my iPhone seem to be in random order.  Perhaps they're in order by the date of one of the pictures in the album?  Not really sure here, as my albums usually contain dozens of pictures.
At any rate, why has this happened?  And more importantly, how do I get the albums to sort by name?    I noticed that you can now manually change the order of albums on the phone itself, but this is not much help, as it goes back to the former sequence when I re-sync.
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I posted this almost a month ago, I'm surpirsed noone else had had this issue...
I don't sync that often (yeah, I know, crusify me), but tonight I went to synchronise again and I got a different photo that wont come over....
    In addition to the above:
    - the photos are taken with the same camera, on the same date and time as other photos around it...
So "why is it now no longer compatible with iphone4?"????
If I unsync a photo, it just gives me a new photo it can't sync.
Can anyone tell me how to find ALL the photos it can't sync? This is a serious deficiency of iphoto/itunes/sync with iphone...

  • Black images in my iPhone's photo album

    Hello,
When i synced my iPhone with iPhoto on my mac and then deleted the pictures off my iPhone when Iphoto asked, there are now black images in my photo album on my iPhone. How do I get rid of these? I've tried to delete them on my iPhone but that doesn't seem to work.

Were you able to fix this? The same thing is happening to me, my iPhone4 is new, and I had never had this problem with my 3G. It's happening when I move photos into the trash...I'm left with a black image.

  • All photos in I photo 5 are blank boxes!! Help!!!!

All photos in my I photp 5 are blank boxes!! Help , whre did they go!?????
thanks to oany one who can help.

I have previously (and am again) experiencing the same problem as the original poster, except I am able to get the "rebuild" window when I hold down ALT and CMD while starting up iPhoto.
The problem with "empty photos" (i.e. the frames around the photos are there, as are the keywords and filename, but the photo itself is missing). Looking inside the iPhoto folder in the Finder I see that there are lots of image files with file-lengths of zero. So the files are still there, but there's no data inside of them.
I don't know how the original poster ended up with these empty photos, but in my case I was organizing my photos by deleting unwanted ones, creating new albums, deleting unused ones etc.
Then all of a sudden iPhoto crashes!
(iPhoto 5 does indeed seem to be a flaky program as this has happened to me many times when working with a couple of thousand photos or more).
Anyway, when I opened it again the empty photos thing occured.
I'm guessing that the empty photos are indeed the same photos I deleted from my album, but because of the crash, iPhoto hasn't updated its information and still displays the thumbnails of the images, which of course aren't there, and thus shows them as "empty" images.
Now, I would imagine "rebuilding the database" and/or "rebuilding the thumbnails" would do the trick, but I've tried all 4 option available when you start iPhoto with ALT and CMD. Nothing solves my problem. Very frustrating.
And whenever I do something in iPhoto the "busy beachball" shows up for 10 to 30 seconds, causing a lot of waiting.
(To the original poster not being able to get at the options to rebuild iPhoto's files etc: what you need to do is start iPhoto, then IMMEDIATELY hold (and keep holding down) the ALT and COMMAND (Apple) keys. After a few seconds, instead of iPhoto opening up with your images you get a window with 4 rebuilding option. When you see that you can let go of the ALT and COMMAND keys).
If I keep getting these problems and there seems to be no solution other than to dump all the images to a folder on the desktop, then create an iPhoto setup from scratch and manually import the photos followed by the huge task of keyworking them, creating the albums etc. I'm going to look elsewhere for some better working software. This just isn't satisfactory.

  • My synced photo albums are empty, why?

I synced my photo albums from my computer but the are empty on my iPad and iphone

I have the same problem. Latest iOS release (5.1.1 9B206). Latest Snow Leopard release (10.6.8). iPhoto 8.1.2 (424).
Some albums synced from iPhoto show up by name on my iPhone 4S, but they are empty. The file extension problem referenced by one person here isn't what is happening in my case.
I've tried unchecking the option in iTunes to sync photos, syncing, then rechecking the option, and syncing again. Problem still exists.

  • IPhone 3GS Photo Album Display Images Mixed Up

    Hello,
I've just created a few albums on my PC and organised all my photos accordingly. However, when I sync with my iphone the main album image displayed along with the album name belongs to another album. For instance, if i create 2 albums, one named "Dog" and one named "Cat", these album titles are displayed correctly on the iPhone but I have an image of a cat beside the folder named "Dog".
    hope i make sense?
    thanks,
    Cat

I get this occassionally. A reset of your phone should cure it.
Hold the Sleep and power buttons down until the phone shuts down (ignore the slider)
Then hold the sleep button to power it back up again

  • My photo albums are no longer alphabetical after ios5 update

I upgraded my Ipad 2 & ipod touch 4g to ios 5. My photo albums which sync to photoshop elements are no longer alphabetical which now makes it a pain to locate photos. What can I do?

The contacts is saved on Google or Backup Assistance (Whichever you are using) and you can use ES File Explorer like I posted at http://community.vzw.com/t5/Android-Apps/Simple-way-to-Backup-apps-for-Hard-Reset/td-p/658707 , so you really wont loose anything but apps data...
BUT, I am not saying that you do this if that is your only issue...  I was just pointing out that this is a good ideal to do with any Major Updates..
If the contacts isnt linked again you should get the option to link them again once the OS boots, normally it checks and then prompt to link again..

  • IWeb's photo albums are not viewable on Chrome and IE

  • My laptop was stolen and all my photo albums are on my iphone.  How can I get them back on my laptop?

iv tried plugging into laptop and going to my computer then iphone but it only brings up photos taken on the phone.  Any help would be great.

The iPhone will temporarily store items in iCloud as a backup, but only those photos taken with the phone.Even then there are limitations.  iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
iOS5: iCloud: Backup and restore overview - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4859 - "The following items are not backed up to iCloud. You can sync these items with a computer using iTunes:
        * Music, movies and TV shows not purchased from the iTunes Store
        * Podcasts and audio books
        * Photos that were originally synced from your computer"
It is assumed you maintain a backup of your computer on a hard drive somewhere should you need to recover items you kept on the computer and transferred to the phone.

  • Need help with iPhone 5 photo albums

Hi everyone, new here and just got my iPhone 5 yesterday. I have been using apple products for quite some time now so nothing is really all that new too me and I understand a majority of its difficulties although I have reached a road block. Heres the problem:
I have been using my iPod Touch to take photos for a while now and I just recently got the iPhone 5. So I hooked up my iPhone 5 and synced everything and it all went pretty smooth and the only thing wrong is that I have two albums under pictures on my iPhone that contain the exact same photos. They are all pictures that were taken on my iPod Touch that were transferred onto my PC and then I used the folder that contained those images to sync with my iPhone. Now when I sync the folder to my iPhone, there is a "Photo Library" album with 206 pictures then the "iPod" album (the name of the folder on my computer) which also contains the same 206. Any way I can get rid of one of them? I have tried and only succeeded in getting rid of both of the albums nad not just one. Thanks for any and all help! (screen capture of what I am talking about below)

  • Deleting iPhone 4 photo albums

I'm not sure if this is the right discussion area for this but there weren't any other reasonable options. But anyways, I've got an issue that I can't seem to figure out. I have the Verizon iPhone 4 and haven't had issues before but I've got one now.
I use a Mac Mini with my iPhone, so as you know that comes along with using iPhoto. I decided to put all my pictures on my computer and delete them off my iPhone. Well, that worked perfectly but, once I did that, it put a permanent album on my phone of all the pictures I uploaded. I can't delete them, I can't do anything with them. Even when I tried putting them back on iPhoto, it made another album exactly the same. So, 2 albums with the same pictures that cannot be deleted or anything. It's really annoying cause some of these I don't want on my phone anymore.
Sorry if that was a little confusing, I was trying to think of the best way to tell it all. But if anyone else has or is having this issue and can help me, it's much appreciated.
    Thanks

Actually, I just figured it out! All you have to do is go into iTunes and when your device is plugged in, click it and go to photos. Then it'll have a check mark beside whatever albums you have on it. Uncheck them all and that's it. None are left on it. Hope this helps whoever else has this issue.
