IPhone 4S reboots often, start steeds opnieuw op

Hello everybody,
My iPhone 4S has been turned off for a week. Before this week I've reset all the settings. When I wanted to turn it on again, at first sight it worked like nothing was wrong, but after 5 min he turned off. Today it works a little longer sometimes, but it keeps rebooting itself. How can this happen? I took a look at the settings and this it said:

Thanks a lot!
Hallo allemaal,

Alvast bedankt!

It runs iOS 7 btw.. Not updated to 7.0.2 or something yet

  • Iphone 3gs keeps rebooting often when charging on Kensington Dock n Belkin

I recently bought a Kensington Dock and a Belkin FM transmitter *** car charger for my Iphone 3gs (OS 4). When charging on the dock the phone keeps rebooting often. It doesnt happen if I'm just charging the phone using the regular charger OR when USB connected to the computer. Can someone advise why this happens when charging the Iphone using a Kensington dock OR belkin FM transmiter *** car charger. Both accessories are suppposed to be compatible with Iphone 3gs.

Hate to say, but if your phone has been rebooted, restored or recovered.  It sounds like a hardware issue.  Send it to the refuribish line with the rest of them.   Now i know you said you restored it.  but there are a couple other ways of doing it that might help.
    1. Reboot methods. The first thing to do is try to reboot the iPhone, which you can do by holding the top button and the home button for about ten seconds. In some cases, the iPhone is actually still on, but a bug stops the screen from displaying anything, so you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in and again try the reboot methods to see if you can get the screen to display.
    2. Restoring the iPhone. If the iPhone shows up in iTunes, but it still doesn't seem to turn on, it's definitely a display problem. When rebooting fails, you can restore the iPhone from iTunes, and this should fix whatever bugs caused the original issue. Realize that you'll have to reload your music if you restore to another software version. To restore, plug the iPhone in, go into iTunes and click the iPhone's icon on the side of the select screen. Click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
    3. Recovery mode. You can put the iPhone into recovery mode if it has a charged battery by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continuing to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPhone's in recovery mode. Recovery mode is a bare-bones way of booting the iPhone that allows you to perform a restore when you're dealing with a serious issue such as the iPhone failing to turn on or display anything on its screen.
try one of these if you havent already.  if still nothing, its time to take it in or get a new phone.

  • IPhone 5s often starts with inverted colors.

For a few months my wife's iPhone 5s has been starting with inverted colours.  She thought it must be "something she'd done".  I found out that 3 home key clicks toggles inverted colours on and off, so it's easy to change back, but there is no explanation why this has happened.
Is this indicative of a developing hardware issue.  Typically, it is just out of warranty by a few days.

Settings - General -- Accessibility - invert Color - toggle to off

  • IPhone 4 reboot

My iPhone 4 reboot every time i used it.
A month before, started to reboot ocasionally. Now it does it all time.
When it crashed show green or brown forms.
After force the reboot (power + home) these forms still apears but in a while the vanish.
In General > Information > Diagnostics appears panic errors with "CRC! error".
I restaured it as new and it still rebooting.
The iPhone was sent to Apple two years ago and I think that I have a refurbished one.
I think that its a hardware problem.
    Any idea to fix it?
Its out of warranty, where i can go?
    (SPAIN)

I'm seeing same issue in a few threads but no resolution on here anywhere yet??
I'm running iPhone 5s with 7.1.2 and this just started today after first reporting power stuck at 43%.. after reboot fully charged at 100% but now power cycling every 3-5 mins with CRC errors..  did backup and restore (with a bunch of reboots in the middle) and it came back to the same state all over again..  CRC errors are usually memory issues, right? ..and well written software should block out bad memory sectors to avoid hitting them again, right?   apple's iphone 6 upgrade strategy or a really bad batch of memory all dying at same time.. and software that doesn't know how to handle it. ?

  • IPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes

iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes.
Since IOS 8, my iPhone 4s reboots many times when trying to sync with iTunes on my Mac. It will start running the backup and reboot, it will reboot many times when updating packages. It can take 12 hours to finish a sync with the mac. The phone gets hot during this. I keep deleting more and more pictures and apps, hoping that maybe it doesn't have enough space, but iTunes shows I have 4.9 Gbytes free, which I think should be enough.  I am on IOS 8.0.2, I thought maybe I would try to upgrade to the latest IOS today, but I am worried that I will end up with a non working phone.
Is anyone else having these problems?
    Ed

Well thats Od... I have never experienced that problem.. Maybe you should try to backup your phone and then wipe it by going to Settings<General<Reset

  • My iphone keeps rebooting and going to recovery mode. HELP

Okay, so it all started about 2 months ago when I let my iphone die. I put it on charge, then went to sleep. I woke up and found out my iphone wouldn't stop rebooting and going to recovery. I have dug so deep into forums just to find a solution but nothing has helped. Most of all I think this is a hardware issue.
I have done the DFU restore, I have restored (around 20 times.), but my iphone has a broken power button so its hard to get around some things.
It will show the apple logo, then the "connect to itunes".
Please if you have a bite of information or you have had this problem, PLEASE help me out!
    Thanks in advance.

If you are restoring from a backup that could be a reason why your issue is still there
Restore your iphone using itunes one last time, this time setup as new.
Try it for a couple of hours or the amount of time it usually takes your iphone to reboot and go Into recovery mode.
If issue stops then is something in that backup
If it continues or if you have already set up as new in those restores you have done before
call apple so they could look more Into It (1800 692-7753)

  • Apple TV (new) reboots often

I just bought a new Apple TV (model is MD199LL/A.).   I have not used Apple TV before.
When it works, it works great.  But it sure reboots (crashes) quite a lot, like when making any setting changes.  I also have used it for MLB.tv with a paid Premium subscription, and I cannot watch more than 10-15 mins of a game before it reboots spontaneoulsy.
I did a reset already.  No change.  Its running 5.0 (4099).
My internet connection is excellent.  The Apple TV was to take the place of a Roku box, which worked just fine on same connection.  I can stream MLB.tv just fine to my computers, Ipad, IPhone, or Roku.   Its just the Apple TV that reboots often.  To be clear, MLB.tv is what I mostly use it for - and it experiences reboots.  But it will reboot just going thru my settings and say changing the account for PhotoStream.
Without a reference point, I am wondering if I may have just gotten a lemon - a defective unit.  Or is it this shaky right now ?   I don't know if I should take it back to the Apple Store and ask for an exchange, or maybe I should wait for a firmware update for it.     What are others seei

    That's not normal or satisfactory.
They are never 100% stable these devices but what you describe does not sound normal.  It should not reboot just changing Settings.
Never used MLB.tv so can't help you on that but doesn't sound right.
Personally I'd get it exchanged in case it is faulty.  Not sure if you've done a software restore via itunes with a microUSB to USB cable alone, but I'd have concerns about an underlying hardware fault and want it exchanged.
If you can before doing so it would be worth testing with a different TV and HDMI cable in case of an HDMI compatibility issue with the TV or an intermittent lead fault causing the reboot.
If a second unit does it there's probably something about your specific setup that's tripping it up and that can be difficult to p[in down except by a process of exclusion.

  • When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.

    Problem:
When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
    Symptoms:
    1)   Sync:  It’s not completing the sync.  Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options.  I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)
waiting for changes to be applied (step 7 of 7)
syncing apps / copying 1 of 4 (App name) (step 7 of 7)
    canceling sync
    apple icon
    2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone.  All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto.  All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
    3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list.  If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes.  But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
    Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago).  Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed.  I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive.  Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself.  However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive.  All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).
    Settings/Status:
    MacBook Air
    OSX v. 10.9
    iPhoto ’11 v. 9.5 (902.7)
    iPhone iOS 7.0.4
    iTunes v. 11.1.3 (8)
    Summary Tab
    Backups (This Computer)
    Options
Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected
Sync only checked songs and videos
    Photos Tab
Sync Photos from iPhoto (429 Photos)
Selected albums, Events, and Faces, and automatically include (no Events)
    Albums – 9 are selected

You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

  • Why does my iPhone 5s reboot

I purchased a silver 64 GB launch iPhone 5s (Verizon) from the apple online store. The device was restored from my 4s backup. While using my new 5s, it would occasionally crash and randomly reboot itself. At first I thought this was software related because of iOS7. After installing 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 the random reboots continued.  In the middle of October I made a Genius bar appointment and they determined it was hardware and software failures. The Genius had me keep the same phone and instructed me to restore the iPhone 5s and use as "new phone". The reboots continued happening about 3 to 7 times a day, mostly while unlocking the phone. Another Genius Bar appointment was made and the phone was exchanged for a replacement. I was instructed (again) not to restore the device from a backup. The random reboots continued. Another Genius Bar appointment, replacment phone was issued and I was asked not to install any apps and see if that helped the situation. It did not help at all. I contacted Applecare and was redirected to Level 2 support. I was told to play the lottery because of the (bad) luck I was having was unheard of. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to get another replacement (my 4th iPhone 5s) and use the phone as "new" without installing apps or Touch ID. Less than 10 minutes after recieving my replacement iPhone, it rebooted itself after unlocking. I went back to the Genius Bar and they were in disbelief. They had me pull the SIM, it rebooted, log out of my Apple ID from the device, it rebooted. The Genius restored the phone as "new" and instructed me not no sign in to the device with  my Apple ID. So, at this point I had a glorified phone and web surfing device. Two days went by and I had no random reboots. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to sign back in with my Apple ID, and within 24 hours it was rebooting again. Applecare Level 2 had a "white box" iPhone 5s shipped to an Apple Store near me, because they believed I may have been receiving mine from a bad batch of phones. Well, I can assure you that is not the case. 10 minutes after recieving my new phone (with new SIM) it has continued rebooting itself.
Since the middle of October I have not been able to listen to my music library on my phone, constantly had to reinstall apps and speak with Apple technical support over and over again.
I know I am not the only person experiencing this, but they cannot solve my issue.
Is it possible that my Apple ID is corrupt? That is the only thing left that I can think of.
Oh, and my iPad Air has no issues at all... go figure.

I believe the problem has been solved!
I was never a fan of the parallax effect in iOS 7. I also didn't like the zoom in and out of apps when opening and closing. Because of this, I had always enabled the "Reduce Motion" featured in SETTINGS>GENERAL>ACCESSIBILITY.
Having the "Reduce Motion" option enabled and using the Touch ID to unlock the phone is what caused my reboot issue. AppleCare Level 2 support has notified the iOS engineers of this bug and it should be resolved in a future update.
Turn off "REDUCE MOTION" feature to resolve the random reboot issue of iOS 7.

  • My iPhone 5 won't start!

My Iphone 5 won't start and tells me to connect the phone to ITunes but nothing happens when I do. The phone doesn´t show up in ITunes. What to do?

Apologies, 11.0.4 is the most recent of course...
You'll need to enter DFU mode.
Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes
Turn the iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone)
Hold down the sleep/power button and home button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button
Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected
Hopefully this should work, with you being able to restore the device in iTunes.
However, be warned that this will erase all content on the iPhone, content you can restore if you have saved backups on your Mac/PC or on iCloud.

I have just noticed the other discussion points - mine is set to Australia.
Dear Apple - as the day that the week starts on can depend on country and religion - how about making it an option that the user can change????

I believe the week view on the iPhone is handled by the Region settings in the phone. I am not aware of any other manner to change it, as you can with Outlook.
