IPhone 4S restart itself iOS 5.0.1

I lost the last 7 photos I shot as well. I was just sitting there and all of a sudden the Apple logo appeared and then after the appropriate time, I was shown the pass lock screen. Scratching head! Phone was in sleep mode.
Anyone else seen this?
mark

Well I can't really say it is a problem yet, as I have only seen it happen once. There has to be logs somewhere that I can find. Might have to do some web searches. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this or seen it.
I do thank you though.

  • How can I backup if the backup always gets stopped and the iPhone 4S restarts itself (iOS 8.1.3 12BA466)?`

When I try to do a backup it always starts itself new. My photos and notes are synced but all the other apps not anymore since December. Plus since this weekend it refuses to go on the internet. Since January it restarts itself about 20 times a day. Music takes 30 seconds to loud. And all this despite this was a replacement model from the AppleShop bought just 1.5 years ago. I

Be sure your device is activated on this PC.
Use only Apple branded USB connections.
    Search for iTunes Updates.
An good way for easy backups is the iCloud, but you may need to purchase additional storage to do so.

  • IPhone 4G restarted itself

My iPhone 4G restarted itself five times already since I updated it to 5.1.1, can somebody tell me what's wrong? I'm getting really worried.

First problem you have is your phone.  There IS no iPhone 4G.  There's an iPhone4 and and iPhone 4S.
Second, basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
If you've gone through ALL the troubleshooting steps and you're still having the problem, then you most likely have a hardware issue and will need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

  • Why my iphone 5 restart itself when I make a call on facetime?

When I make a call on facetime, sometime my iphone 5 was hang, then black screen and restart itself.
At the first, I think it's because my ios is 6.0 so I update to 6.0.1 but it still restart itself. What should I solve this problem?

  • Verizon iPhone 4 restarts itself various times throughout the day since the last update?

For some reason, both my and my mom's iPhones restart at the same exact time. It's weird that I notice this, but since it's been going on for weeks now, I realized that both phones restart multiple times after midnight each night. My iPhone has been restarting itself more than my mom's, probably restarting itself twice every hour compared to hers twice a day. It's really frustrating because if I'm in the middle of something, it will restart out of nowhere and won't save my work. It keeps getting worse. I noticed this problem happen after the iOS5 update. I really don't want to take both phones in to Apple, for the nearest Apple store is miles away. Is there any way to solve this problem? Both are Verizon iPhone 4s and have the latest software update.

It could just be coincidence... If you have the Weather Channel iPhone app installed, they released an update last week that contains a bug which keeps location services active all the time. It will drain the battery VERY quickly. You can either shut off location services for the app or delete it. It appears they have released an update to the app this morning that apparently fixes the problem (too late as far as I'm concerned. I'll never touch their app again after that fiasco).

  • Screen lights always shaking dan my iphone always restart itself

  • Iphone 6 restarted itself, should I worry?

While struggling to get on a starbucks wifi hotspot, my phone suddenly shut down and restarted (white screen / black apple logo). Then everything was fine. Note: before this I have had no problems. Should I worry?
Also, I was not on the newest ios.. I am now.  Thanks!

The smaller 16GB iPad only has about 14GB of usable storage out of the box. The rest of the strorage is used by the preinstalled apps and the iOS. The 32GB iPad has about 27.5GB of usable space.
Movies can easily take up 3-35 GB for HD versions. In many countries, movies can be removed and then downloaded again, but if you use iTunes with your devices like I do, You can move all of your purchased content into iTunes on your computer and if you backup your computer, you don't have to worry about not being able to download content again, no matter what the reason. I have 400 songs on my iPad and that takes up 2GB of space.
Remember that that you can never add storage to the iPad itself. I Always recommend buying the largest device that you can comfortably afford for that reason. There are WiFi drives that you can use with iOS devices for external storage, but there is additional cost involved as well as having to carry another device around with you.

  • My iphone 4s restarts itself and kills the battery when not being used, what is wrong?

If I'm not using the phone it dies and then restarts by itself, then when I woke up this morning the battery had died and it needed charging, it was fully charged when I went to bed, I have restored it with and without backup and hard restarted it, the only time it seemed to behave was when it was restored as a new phone with absolutely nothing on it at all apart from what it comes with.

restore the phone as new if it still does that then replace it

  • Iphone 3gs restart itself

    how to solve this problem

It sounds like your iPhone 3GS is damaged.  Here are two things that come to mind:
    1.  You could take it to an Authorized Apple Service Provider.  Here's how to find one:
Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider
That provider might offer to sell you a refurbished iPhone 3GS replacement for a fee.
    2.  You could consider purchasing an updated phone, since the iPhone 3GS came out four years ago.

  • My iPhone 5 just restarted itself... Why?

I was on a app, and my iphone 5 restarted itself and showed the apple icon. I do have the new iOS on my phone. I bought this phone when it came out. This happened twice already. Help!

You may want to back up and reinstall the iOS via iTunes if it keeps on happening.

iphone 3gs- updated to the ios 5.0.1... since then i plugged it into itunes, an now my phone restarts itself every 3-4 minutes!!! it so annoying! its useless, i cant do anything with it. restored it 4 times and its still doing it!!! please help!!!
i contacted o2 and they said id have to pay to get it fixed after sending it away for ten days if their was a fault, when im still under warranty!! contacted apple who will get back to me!

I am assuming you updated to version 5.1.1, not 5.0.1 since no legitimate version of 5.0.1 is available.
Where is this iPhone from and what means did you use to unlock it?

  • HT1688 Since I've upgraded the IOS to 7.0.2 on my iPhone 5, my phone will randomly restart itself.  Is there a fix for this?

Since I've upgraded the IOS to 7.0.2 on my iPhone 5, my phone will randomly restart itself.  Is there a fix for this?

    Howdy there Tuna241,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPhone is restarting unexpectedly after the update to iOS 7.0.2.
I recommend the steps outlined in the article named:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • IPHONE 4 WITH IOS 5 KEEPS ON RESTARTING ITSELF.

IPHONE 4 WITH IOS 5 KEEPS ON RESTARTING ITSELF. i have done restore several times but the problem still intact and phone does not charge when it is switched on and shows a full battery sign on battery but charges only when it is switched off.
My father purchased it from Kuwait and i am using it in Pakistan where there is no authorised service available from APPLE.
Is there any solution of it?
how could i get it replaced?

    Hi.
Not sure how well this would work, but it might be worth trying to put the phone into recovery mode. You will loose everything though, but should be able to restore stuff once it's working again if you have a recent backup.
    So,
    as per
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
try use a PC/Mac which has never been synced to your phone before, and has latest iTunes installed. Other option would be to create a new user account on your operating system temporarily for this which should hopefully give the same impression. Intention here is to force iTunes to download a fresh version of iOS 5, and to prevent it from trying to resotre your phone using an existing backup.
This talks of pressing the home button only and plugging the USB cable in to force entry to dfu mode, but the method I use is as follows:
firstly plug USB cable into computer with iTunes open
power off by pushing and holding the power button and home button, holding both until the red slider appears, then KEEP holding for another 5 seconds (or so) until the sceen goes black, then release power button, but CONTINUE to hold home button.
iTunes should (after about 10 secs) report that is has detected a phone in recovery mode, and asks you if you wish to restore
say yes, and iTunse should then download a new copy of iOS 5 from apple if it cannot find an existing backup.
this is about 700 meg or so in size, so may take a while depending on your connection.
    follow instructions to restore.
good luck, and please let us know if it works
    Andy
PS : just in case, home button is the one with the square on it on the front of the phone, and the power button is the one at the top right edge.

  • After iOS 7.0.2 update: Freeze on lock screen, blackout & unresponsive for 5 min then the phone restarts itself

Happened after iOS 7.0.2 update a few times (2x this morning): Freeze on lock screen, "blackout:" unresponsive to any buttons pressing, after 3-5 minutes the phone restarts itself and works again... (1) May I ask what can I do? I am trying to reset it and recovering the data from backup. (2) Can a virus cause this problem?

To rule out a software issue, set it up as new device without using the latest backup.
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
If it does not charge normally after that, you'll have to get it serviced, the problem might be hardware related.
