IPhone 4S sends blank TXT Msgs
I have seen a few other posts like this but have not been able to find an answer to the issue. Some times when I send group txt msgs, some of the recipients receieve a blank message. Any idea of why this might be happening?
I would like to thank everyone for their input. rob0424, I know how much of an inconvenience this issue is because group text messaging saves time and helps you get a message out to a lot of people at once. I researched your issue in more detail and didn't find this was reported as an issue. I don't show there is a limit for how many contacts you send a text or picture to without having an issue but I suggest limiting the amount of people you send it to. This may help eliminate the problem. I also recommend clearing your cache and browser history periodically and also deleting unwanted messages periodically. Listed below are some steps.
Steps to clear Cache and broswer histoy:
From the main screen, touch Menu.
Touch Media Center.
Touch Browser.
Touch Menu.
Touch Manage Memory.
Touch the desired items to be cleared using the 5-way navigation pad.
A indicates that the item is selected.
--Clear Cache
Visited website content stored on your device. Cache enables your browser to download only the content that has changed since you last visited a website. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster.
--Clear History
A listing of URLs (website addresses) that you have recently visited.
---Clear Cookies
Cookies are used to store information that helps personalize your Web browsing experience. Cookies may contain information including: website preferences, login settings, shopping cart contents and more.
With the desired items selected, touch Clear.
Touch Yes.

Hi every one I think most of u guys r having the same problem with the nokia N8 when ever I try to send a txt it says resend at a time and keep pushing it back and if I leave it for longer time I get a failure notice that says "general already in use"

and i tried the hard reset with the *#7370# and it didn't work either
and i can't send it back since i bought it from Dubai and i'm now in the US so i need help!!!!!Have you tried removing all access points and asking your sim provider to send the txt messaging settings to your phone ?

Why can't I send SMS messages from my ipad mini 16g wifi?
Even when your iPad Mini has a 3G cellular modem onboard, the iPad Mini still can NOT send or receive SMS Text messages.
The 3G modem is only used for a internet data connection and has no software to either send or receive SMS text messages even though the hardware is available.
I can confirm this with the iPad Mini iOS6.1 with 3G cellular modem.

My Iphone is randomly sending out blank texts to the same 4 numbers. Sometimes once a week, lately 4-5 times weekly. I see no pattern that initates this. Have turned the phone off and on several times, if anything, this seems to make it occur more frequently. Operating system is updated.
Any clue what is going on?Did you find an answer?

I bought a new N70 in the chicago nokia store over the weekend to use with my provider, T-Mobile.
I'm able to use everything on the phone, except txt msg.
i can send pic msgs and receive pic and txt msgs.
i can make and receive phone calls.
i can access the web, although my phone isn't supported on tmobiles t-zones.
when i try to send a txt msg, an error msg pops up saying unable to send msg. does anyone have any ideas why i can't?Sounds like you need to get and set the SMS service centre options.
If you have the option, set to send SMS via MMS (as you know that's working).

Why does my email address display when I send a txt message to another iPhone user?
When I txt MSG another iPhone user, my email address displays on their screen as sender's name. Is this because I have my email address set as my apple ID? Can I change my Apple ID name to stop this?
Go to Settings > Messages > Receive At > Apple ID.
Sign out of your Apple ID followed by signing back in with your cell phone number selected as your iMessage Caller ID. -
why are my texts sometimes blue(iPhone txt) and sometimes green(txt msg) within minutes of a conversation?
If the iPhone can't send the message as an iMessage (blue) it will instead send it as an SMS message (green).

Hello Guys! I hope someone could help me, Im having trouble with my phone's signal, I am not able to send and receive msgs, same as make calls and receive calls. At first, my phone is working fine (iphone 4, iOS 7.0.4) and all of a sudden, my text messages are not getting through, and I noticed that my phone shows NO SERVICE, I refreshed the phone by turning it off and turning it on after a couple of minutes, it worked. My phone is okay again after that, Im able to send and receive messages again. But after few hours, the problem came again. NO SERVICE sign is displayed again, but this time after refreshing the phone nothing good happened. I tried almost every possible thing I can to fix it but it doesn't work. What should I do.

These are the recommended troubleshooting steps to resolve No Service issues on iPhone:
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Turn iPhone off and then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Restore the iPhone.
If you are outside the United States, please also follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Carrier > Automatic.
If the phone registers any carrier network, Settings > Carrier will be present.
If the Carrier option is missing in Settings and you are outside of the Unites States, please contact Apple for support and service options.
Set the option for Automatic to off.
A list of potentially available carriers appears after about two minutes. If the device is locked to a carrier, it may connect only to the carrier network to which it is locked. If the device displays carrier networks, then the device is working as expected.
Set Settings > Carrier > Automatic back to on.
If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause these symptoms.

so i have had an iphone for a year ish and recently replaced it. on both phones from my boyfriend and my grandma (the only ones who have had this problem) i will receive their texts as a bunch of random symbols or gibberish every so often and again every once in a while i will text them a message and it will be blank so i send it again but change the words a little just in case but it still sends blank messages. im tired of this problem and i have no idea how to fix it. any ideas? ive tried turning off the mms messaging and turning it back on, but it still keeps happening. i think it might be a carrier problem??? all three of us are on Verizon. but im not sure.
Have you tried to factory reset/restore your phone? May be also worth checking all the text carrier settings are correct such as message centre number.

IPhone completely fails to send a txt/SMS message

I've tried sending a txt message with full signal and near instantly it says 'error sending message'. I called o2 support and they said to to do a restart, reset all settings, reset network settings and nothing has worked! This is really ******* me off.
