iphone 4s sometimes application close alone
When you have had a lot of apps open they won't close properly just with the home button. You need to double press the home button and exit out of all the apps and try the app again. It should work accordingly. Mine does this at times too and I find if I close previous apps it will stop this.

These last days i noticed that a lot of apps are closing alone, like if you would push the home button.
I never had any app doing this before. Could it be of the latets update of the Ios of the Ipad?
Does anybody has had the same problem?

DavidForget to tell that i only had a couple of basic programs in memory, like email, appshopper and solitaire. The program tat crashed was documents and touchybooks. And those are programs that i am using from the first days i have my ipad(25th march), and never had problems until this week.
And the worst is that i can't find a pattern when it happens. Atleast i am not the only one (christella84 also has it).

New iPhone 4s call app closes immediately when I try to open it to make a call
Just bought a new 4s and restored all contact, etc, from my last back up. After doing this I can not make a phone call. As soon as the phone / contacts open they close again and I can not make a call. I can receive a call, receive a txt message, take a photo but can not make a all or check my contacts. Assistance would've great.
right click and click 'run as administrator'.
if that fails, reset your preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-alt while starting flash pro. you'll see a confirmation dialog if done correctly.

My iphone 4s stop responding very frequently after updating to new software ios7. Sometimes it freezes while playing games or using any app. Apps closes by itself or stop responding. I dont know wats goin on. Totally frustrated. Ios7 *****. Is it due to new software update or something else???
Briansyddal - you might be able to manage your phone without a PC, but many of us can't, especially those of us with large iTunes libraries. How do you propose I manage my 250GB of music using only a phone? Maybe I could go out and buy 10 iPhones and spread my library out among them!
Catz537 - I have the same problem as you and I've spent hours on the web trying to find a solution to it. It was a problem with iOS 7 and 8.1.1 doesn't fix it. The the only advice from Apple is completely useless because it requires you, effectively, to delete and recreate your iTunes library and lose all your metadata, album art, notes etc and there's also no guarantee it will work. I wish I could be more help (even more - I wish Apple could be more help) - I updated to 8.1.1 at 1400 today. At 2200 I'm still "waiting for changes to be applied" for a measly 16GB of music transfer. -
Hi, I searched around and not seen too many complaints about my problem, I hope someone can help me here.
Got My Iphone 3G 3 weeks ago, everything is great. the only glitch I have is that all the downloaded apps. Google mobile, pandora, Facebook etc... could not be opened. all the apps closes itself soon after it opens. it only happens to the downloaded apps.
I tried every suggested tricks to fix it, soft reboot, hard reboot, reset all settings, firmware update (2.02), none fixed the issue. the only thing that worked was to remove the apps and reinstall again. Than it worked for about a week. just this morning. the issue came back again. Any thoughts?
I don't see anyone complaint about this issue in this forum. I wonder if it is my phone only. should I go to an Apple store to replace it? But the store is really far from me. how else can I get apple's hardware support without going to a store.My iPhone 3G started doing this last night. One moment I was playing a game of DizzyBee. Then an hour later, I picked up my phone and was suddenly unable to run any third-party apps. Not only am I unable to run are third-party downloaded apps, but my iPod music files and media are inaccessible. When I switch to iPod, it says there is no music in my library, even though when I sync my iPhone to iTunes, it shows all of those apps and music and video files on the "Summary" screen. I suspect there's some kind of authorization problem, where my iPhone seems to have been deauthorized to run any downloaded apps or music.

because i have no backup on my previous laptop, i downloaded touchcopy but even touch copy is not recognizing my iphone. -
I cannot read my messages on Facebook from my iPhone. Sometimes the entire FB app just shuts down. Yes, I have the latest version.
You can delete and re-download the application. Other than that you need to check with the developer of the application

IPhone Messages (SMS) app problem
I've been having a problem with the Messages (SMS) app on my iPhone 3GS. As a matter of personal choice (or rather by nature since I'm slightly prone to OCD), I like to "close (or kill)" all my apps from the multitasking bar and have it stay nice and clean every time I use my iPhone. However, I've been getting lazy over the past few weeks and so I let the messages app stay "open" or on the multitasking bar so it opens quickly. The problem I'm having is that whenever I "close (or kill)" the Messages (SMS) app, (tapping on that little red sign when the apps are wiggling on the multitasking bar), my iPhone freezes for a while (anywhere from 10 seconds to minutes). This time is directly proportional to how long I leave the Messages app "open" for, and how many messages I receive/send. Sometimes, it does a hard reset on me by crashing completely to the Apple logo.
Now I'm not sure why this is, but my uneducated guess is that it has to do with the messages that I send/receive being indexed for search or something. Since the longer the app stays "open," the more messages it has to index, it overwhelms the iPhone and sometimes crashes, and almost always freezes.
But, I'm not an expert by any means. So can anyone explain to me what this is/how to fix it (if there are any solutions at all)?

1. In Settings, General, Spotlight Search, uncheck Messages (you might also want to uncheck other stuff you don't need - it all help to speed things up a bit)
2. Kill all the apps, then restart the phone - hold Home and Sleep until the Apple logo appears - about 10 seconds
3. Restore the phone via iTunes -
Since recent updates of iOS, I have noticed when using my iPad that my apps close automatically when I have to leave the room or am otherwise distracted for a few minutes. It is sometimes time consuming to sign back in and get back to the task where i left off. Is there a setting I can change so it will keep the apps open until I am ready to close them? Did you have this problem before Restoring you iPad?
If you did then did you restore with a backup. You may have reinstalled something that is conflicting in this back up
If not then sounds like either something went array with the clean install or a hardware issue.
I know it's long winded but have you tired a clean install then downloading the apps again?

First, double-tap the home button and then swipe up on the FB app to close it out. Then, try again. Second, delete the FB app and then reinstall it and see if that resolves the issue.

IOS6 Music app closes when trying to search home shared music
My iTunes music media is on my iMac (mountain lion) with iTunes home sharing enabled, when using the iPad 3 (IOS6) ,every time I try to search the home shared music library, the Music app closes on the iPad. The search feature does work on my iPhone 4s running IOS6.
Anyone else experincing this problem?
thanks....1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar at bottom
2. Hold the Music app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Re-launch the app and test

When I try to sync my apps with iTunes this message pops up: "cannot sync apps with iPhone because the apps on iPhone cannot be determined." Any ideas? It has always worked in the past...
On you iPhone, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it one by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPhone:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, connect to sync and see if this resolves the issue. -

I installed iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 the day it was released. No problems. After learning tips/tricks am loving it. 27 Sept 2013 rec'd notification of an update iOS 7.0.2 (bug fixes etc), and did the update. But now every day the calendar app is crashing. I open it and it closes. The only way I can get into it is to search for an event, or when an event alert comes up, hit 'view'. Other wise I can't open the Calendar. Never ever had this problem before. I've tried turning it off/on, but still crashes. I've closed all running back ground apps and did a Restart, Pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake & Home buttons for a few seconds until it shuts down, then the Apple logo appears, and restarts. It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting already. What I would do next is backup and restore your phone to iTunes.

Before you restore from your backup, I would first setup the phone as a new device, then test the calendar app to make sure it works the correct way. Then restore from your backup and verify the Calendar is still working.

How can I transfer new apps from my iphone without replacing apps I don't want?
When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

I have been waiting for a post like this. Just ordered mine from AT&T and the tax is close to $52. At an 8% mark that also equals to $649. I think they are charging full retail sales tax. I called AT&T and they couldn't explain it to easily they started saying that there is an extra luxury tax but I think they don't know it's just full retail tax. They also said that it's just a hold on my card by final charge will be processed when the phone gets shipped.
I checked fine print of sprint and AT&T. Ecause when you upgrade online with AT&T you don't pay tax but it states that it will be collected at the time it shipped. Sprint charges $24 which is almost half but also claims that there might be an extra tax when it shipped.
I am puzzled by the whole issue. But 25 bucks won't get me not to order my phone. I was able to get credit from my carrier because of the competition in the form of statement credits. Ordered 2 phones and een after crazy high tax I got one for red plus some :). Tax is crazy anyone else order it an have this issue please share
