Iphone 4s text messages sms from Japan

Hi! I use to travel oftenly to Japan. The issue is that I don't use japanese carrier.
Before I used to use an Iphone 3GS, and with 3G turned ON and data roaming OFF, it was possible to send SMS from Japan.
Now I'm using Iphone 4S and surprise: cannot send SMS from Japan. No way to change 3G, since this Iphone doesn't allow to turn on/off this. Anyone can help me? Any settings to change?

Autoreply for all those foreigners that need to send sms from Japan and are not Softbank or Docomo customers:
Just turn on, in settings, cellular data
Turn off data roaming
Turn on 3G
In this way you can send text messages while staying in Japan.
My problem to send text yesterday was not due to the Iphone, but due to any kind of problem in the network

If they are still stored on your phone, with the BB you may be able to print them; if not natively, you may be able to download an app that will do that. Offhand, I'm not familiar with one, but google may help. -The iPhone may have an app that will allow this as well. Two to three YEARS? That' s a lot of texting!!

How to transfer my Text Messages (SMS) from android to Iphone.

When ever I think of buying Apple Iphone I was worried about my text messages in Android Mobile.
I am afraid I couldn't able to find any application which helps me transfer all my text messages from android to Apple.
I've been changing mobiles and going back to the same android platform mobile bcoz of my messages which i am not able to transfer to Iphone.
**Why can't Apple give provide an option to import text messaes (SMS's) from other platform mobiles where this feature the Users like me who love to use all variety of Platforms.
Anybody Please tell me, how to make this happen.

I have the same problem from iPhone5S to S3. Finally I switched to iPhone 5S from a Samsung Galaxy Android. This device is absolutely flawless. Noticeable faster than my S3 which I never thought was slow. Camera is good too. So far I'm pleased!
Now back to the topic. I have used the program called mobitrans phone transfer to transfer all the data (including SMS and contacts) from my galaxy android to my new iPhone 5S:
I guess it supports all the android and iPhone devices.

IPhone 4S - Text Messages Showing From Phone Number

I have all of my contacts in my iPhone.
When someone texts me or I text them, the Message shows from their phone number.
I've tried updated the programming and that didn't solve it for me.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
I've read on the apple forums this is a Verizon issue.

Try this...
Settings > iMessages - Off.
Settings > General > Reset - Reset network settings.
Settings > iMessages - On.
It may or may not work or only work temporarily.

This is going to sound rather complicated but I'll try to explain my question as clearly as I can. I'm currently in Singapore and using Skype to keep in touch with my boyfriend in the U.S. I set up a Skype caller ID number several days ago so that when I call my boyfriend through Skype, he can see that caller ID number and know it's me. My question is, is it possible for my boyfriend to text me on that caller ID number using his mobile phone? And if so, will I have to be signed into Skype to receive his message? How will I be charged?

SMS API(WMA) is an optional package. It is not a MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0 api's.
There are phones which has WMA api with MIDP1.0 support .... Nokia 3650
Seimens has some phone with their own api's to send sms.Check out seimens site for more info
BTW, What do you mean buy sending SMS to Server????
If you want to send message to server you can do it with Http.

Even when an Ipad has a 3G cellular modem with a microsim of nanosim card with cellular number - still it can NOT receive a SMS text message shipped to the cellular number.

My wife and I each have an iPhone 4S. With the upgrade to ios6 all text messages sent from my phone show up on hers to include responses from my text. text that she sends from her phone appear as if from mine. How do we stop it?

That would be something you'd need to discuss with AT&T. Verizon, for example, offers a service called VZ Messages that lets you access your SMS messages from a web portal. Very handy. AT&T may offer something similar.
You'll have other options when iOS 8/Yosemite is released.

If you can't send and receive SMS
You will need these to send and receive SMS:
An iPhone
A strong cellular network connection through a cellular network provider
A domestic SMS plan from your cellular provider (You might need an international messaging plan to send SMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information)
A roaming SMS plan when you use a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues sending and receiving SMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Make sure that you have a cellular network signal in the status bar of your iPhone. If there's no signal, learn more about troubleshooting no service.

Provided you have recently synced you phone then the SMS are stored in the iPhone backup made by iTunes during the sync process. If you restore you can choose to restore from backup which should mean that you don't lose the SMS.
