I have then used the download at the itunes "restore screen" and pointed (shift-restore button) to the download....and it makes it through ~3/4ths, then gives the error message.

I try to install weblogic server 10.3.3 in REDHAT linux 5.4 x86_64 (64-bit) server.
as installation manul direct (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14142/guimode.htm#BABIFBII) , run
java -jar wls1033_generic.jar ( by the way, command "java -d64 -jar wlsversion_generic.jar" won't work at all)
in the x window, I can see the first page (weblogic 10.3.3...)
then before getting welcome page, I saw a dialog occured like
"A fatal erro has occured, this application will terminate"
What is wrong?

I think your Java environment is a little out of date. I believe JDK 1.6.0_11 or higher is required for Weblogic 10.3.3
You can get an updated version at

Also recommend you uninstall the IBM Java build you currently have installed.

I have problems in installing the iPlanet App server 6.0 SP2 in Solaris.
I choose typical installation and select default settings.
- install iplanet server
- typical install
- install ALL components
However, the following errors occur during the installation:

I would recommend to use the latest version of application server which is iAS6.5sp1MU2. Try this out and see if you run into any problems. Also please check the release notes available at docs.sun.com to check the compatibility.

Error occuring when installing Tiger

I've been trying to install Tiger onto a friends Gigabit Ethernet G4 (Dual 450) and I keep experiencing an error during the install. Would a bad HD make this happen? His machine has both the original HD and a new Maxtor HD in it. I've run Disk Warrior, zapped the PRAM. What can I try next? Thanks for any help given.

Also I assume it's a full retail version of Tiger rather than a machine specific version that shipped with a particular computer.

I am running the 64x-based version of Windows 8.1 Enterprise and the most recent 64-bit version of Message Analyzer I could find (build 4.0.6396.0). When I try to install any v 1.02 OPN packages (Exchange ActiveSync, Office and SharePoint, or Exchange Web
Services), I get the following error:
You must install a version of Message Analyzer between 4.0.6866.0 and 4.0.6866.0 to install this package.
I've not found such a version available for download.

That version is only available on connect.microsoft.com. You can create an account and then find our program in the director and sign up there. Then you'll have access to this interim build.

Before installing, I have installed j2sdk1.5.0 and j2ee1.4,all environment variable have been set correctly, and the javac and java commands can run correctly.
But when i install Java WS,It says it can't find the jre,ask me to install jre1.3.1,I have already installed two jre,so i don't want another.

For 1.5.0_x on Windows it located in your Control Panel. Open the Java Control and then click the Settings button. Finally click the View Applications... button.
Or you can simply type javaws at a command prompt or from the Start->Run... Dialog

I imagine that by now this problem has long been resolved. In case it helps however...
We had this problem recently. I created the disk resource manually at the command line, and added it to the SAP cluster group. The install went smoothly after that. I never determined why the install process could not handle this step.
A rough outline of what I did:
1. Run diskpart in a CMD session.
2. At the DISKPART> prompt type list disk
3. Identify the disk and select it by typing select disk X where X is the disk number.
4. Type detail disk and note the Disk ID.
5. Type exit to leave diskpart.
6. Use the cluster command to check the properties of the SAP group as in the following: cluster . group "SAP-R/3 EQ0" /Properties
7. Use the cluster command to add the disk resource to the SAP group as in the following: cluster res "Drive D:" /create /group "SAP-R/3 EQ0" /type:"physical disk"
8. Add the disk signature to the disk resource if necessary as in the following: cluster res "Drive D:" /priv signature=0xB2EEE209
In place of B2EEE209 use the Disk ID found with diskpart in step 4 above.
9. Use the Cluster Administrator GUI to bring the disk resource online.
10. Proceed with the install.
