You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

Now the program states this: Itunes has quit working- we have uninstalled and reinstalled earlier verions as well as the new version. they all go through the process but when it finalizes and we open it says the same thing. under the details of the error we get all this stuff:

It goes on forever with a list of code. We have even tried to the the winsock reset and nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we need to do? My itunes has stopped playing music. I recently downloaded more music and now it has stopped playing, it says it is playing but there is no sound and the time bar does not move from 0. I have uninstalled all apple apps on my laptop and reinstalled and then updated the software. I have tried 'repair' aswell but nothing has worked.

Well, it sort of solved my problem. Now every time I start a lecture with sound, there is no sound, but the slides advance. If I go back to iTunes and turn on a cd, it plays the sound. If I then go back to the lecture, the sound goes on. So each time I start a slide show with sound, I have to turn on iTunes. How can I fix this?

My Windows PC iTunes doesn't see my two Apple TV2's (in the speaker button in lower right of iTunes), I believe this problem began when my PC's McAfee AV subscription expired. My computer has internet connection thru router and my ATVs have internet connection thru same router so it's not a networking issue. My iPad can see the ATVs but it can't see iTunes so the problem appears to be PC/iTunes related. I turned the PC's firewall off but no joy. I uninstalled the expired McAfee and still no joy. Reboot = no joy. Glass of scotch = no joy. Need help!!

Okay i just figured out how to fix it. all i did was go to my Activity Monitor and searched all processes for itunes, itunes helper was running. i just quit it and intaller.app was just fine. thanks thou, ill give you the points for trying to help me.

Okay... No flash... understand...
So I went ahead and installed YouTube app on my IPhone... but now when I select the youtube video from Facebook I get into youtube and I can see the video I 'm trying to play, but now a message appears over the video "The content owner has not made this video available on mobile. Add to playlist to watch it later on a PC." At that point I was able to seach & select other videos by the artist (George Strait) off youtube and play them pkay on my Iphone, but not this particular one posted on facebook. Oh well.. I've spent enough time on this one, I know when I can't get there from here..

Some other iPods (that are not shuffles) have an onboard setting to change the playback speed for some types of iTunes media, such as audiobooks. But a shuffle has no screen, to change such settings.
First, do this to reset the shuffle, if you have not already

If that does not help, you may want to do a Restore on the shuffle. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings. The shuffle will be like it was when new, so this problem should be fixed.

Itunes causes a "itunes has encountered a serious error and needs to close"

Ok everytime i try to open up itunes it immediatly opens up a window that says itunes has encountered a serious error and needs to close....i send the error report microsoft directs me to check out that apple page to uninstall qt and then repair...i have tried everything that i read in these forums, even the one where it says to go into dos mode(F8 to get to safe mode) and delete the files that have a random 4 or 6 letter file ending in .exe
i am at my whits end here please help i need my itunes

The pic sync is one way - computer to iPhone.
You should be storing all of your photos on your computer. Jut sync them to your iPhone.

I personally haven't experienced much of the "reverberation/feedback" when using a headset on the i4S...
Yes, I have near-perfect hearing too (for scope, squeaky brakes hurt my ears) I come from many conversations on many phones and types and first off, CDMA technology is great for coverage, terrible for voice quality. HD Voice in Europe made for some of the best phone conversations I've ever had.
Back on track, feedback is most noticable (similar to the landline phone) when using the iPhone without a headset, but for me it's not an absolute criticality mainly because I use VoIP apps alot, so maybe it has desensitized me some over the past year.
But whenever I'm on a call, and the other person has me on speakerphone, I have alot of trouble talking because of the feedback loop caused. So the less of my voice I hear the better I can talk.

Connect your device to iTunes and in the the window were all the apps are greyed out make sure the 'Sync Apps' checkbox (top left corner) is selected.

Sound is playing both on speaker and headphone

I have HP ENVY 15-j048tx Notebook PC. when attach heaphone to my laptop the sound is playing both on speaker and headphone. How to solve this please help.

I understand the notebook produces sound from both headphones and speakers. I will do my best to assist you! The only troubleshooting I could suggest in this thread: Headphones plugged in, but speakers are still playing sound
I provided these steps a while ago I noticed it resolved all instances of this issue, when done properly. Please try the steps and let me know what happens. Thanks!
