Iphone 4s will not charge, but will say its charging
when i plug in my phone the lighting blot comes on by the battery symbol, and it vibrates saying it is charging but it doesnt charge. ive tried plugging my phone in my dock and with my USB cord and computer. any ideas?

I've tried sync another iphone to the same itunes and windows autoplayer will allow the photos sorted on the iphone to be saved to the laptop but itunes won't even recongise the device is plugged in.

I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where I sync everything. I have authorized this new computer so I don't know what the problem is. I can't get on my old computer with my itunes account because the computer is broken. Not sure what to do

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

If you already try other chargers and still not working, the best advise is for you to contact apple support, if you still in warranty they will change it for you for free.

If the reset is not helping, you may need to try the recovery mode.

They might have one at the Apple Store but a better chance is to go buy your cell providers store.

If the receipt says "unlocked" (and not "SIM free") then it will work anywhere in the world that there is a GSM network. However, if it ever needs repair you will have to take it back to France.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, then can you find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. You could also do Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout which will re-arrange your apps and might make it easier to find -

My relatively new iphone 5 is not charging.. I only have one cord so i cant test if it is the cord or the actual phone.. I tried plugging it into my MacBook but then a message popped up saying "the USB is using too much power and has been disabled" help??
Thanks but it is not the connector (although I have cleaned it) or the cable/adapter as I have used others that came with my iPad minis. Apple are aware of it being a software problem but to date have not yet offered a solution. My mobile provider (O2) have offered to fix it for £200 which I have refused.

Could be. The "lock" isn't actually looking for a password.
WARNING: This will completely erase the ENTIRE hard drive.
What you would need to do is boot to recovery > disk utility > select the MAIN drive on the left side > partition > change partition layout from CURRENT to 1 PARTITION > ensure on the right side it says Format : Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) then push APPLY.
Then if it will allow us, close the windows until you see the 4 options popup again and select "Reinstall Mac OS X" select the Mac HD and you should be good to go! -

My iphone 4s is not charging anymore. But the strange thing is if I turn off the phone, it is charging without any issues.
So the issue seems to be like it cannot charge when ios is loaded.
I have tried to,
1. Reset the phone ( No luck)
2. Confirmed its not charging port/battery problem
Also, when connected to pc, it says usb device cannot be recognized

As I said above, some of the new lightning cables have been known to be causing problems for some users. Have it replaced if at all possible by bringing it into your local Apple Store's Genius Bar.

The Android Market is for Android phones. To download apps for the iPhone, you need to use the iTunes App Store. Software for the Android OS is not compatible with the iPhone and vice versa.

What do you mean by "power surge alert"? What exactly does it say when you try to connect it? If you're talking about the message about a USB device drawing too much power, that can sometimes be caused by a bad cable or something stuck in the port. Do you have another cable you can try?
