Iphone 4s will not sync with Itunes, but old Ipod does??

Hi, after the recent software upgrade, the iPhone displays the iTunes and plug logo. We have followed the instructions to try and get rid but to no avail.
we have a really old iPod and tested that, and it syncs ok with iTunes.
Does anyone else have any ideas on how to get this Iphone working again.

My iphone 4 will not sync with itunes on Windows 7 64 bit. My computer recognizes the iphone but Itunes does not. Any suggestions?

First it told me to uninstall itunes and install a windows 64 bit version which I did, the phone still won't sync
At the same time the itunes won't access the store
I've never accessed the store before or synced the phone
I live in a country without apple stores and geniuses so this is really the only way someone can help me

I have had exactly the same problem before, I have followed the guide as suggested to the letter and still no joy, each time (3 times now) that I have reinstalled the latest version of iTunes it is recognised and syncs with my iphone but with the next reboot of my computer it is gone again.

Restart your computer. Run iTunes and check for updates. If there is a later version of iTunes available, download and install it. Then try again. If you still cannot see your iPad listed in iTunes make a list of all the things you have tried so that we can see exactly what steps you have taken.

Do you have the absolute latest version of iTunes downloaded? If your iTunes software has not been updated in some time, your iPad will not be recognized. With iTunes open, click on Store at the top. Check for available downloads and if there are any, download them. Once you've verified you have the latest software, connect your device again, and it should be recognized.

No, I believe it probably said you need to install iTunes 10.7 to SYNC the iphone 5. What version of iTunes do you have now? Check that by going to Help, About iTunes. If it is not iTunes 10.7, then go to Help, Check for Updates, and download 10.7. After that installs you can sync the iPhone.

i'm pretty frustrated. My iPhone will not sync to iTunes and transfer all the music i've downloaded to my iPhone. it does not even recognize that my iPhone exists on my macbook. Hello all, I am writing this message in the hope that somebody can help me to solve my issue with my iPod touch fourth generation. It has been unable to sync with iTunes, but shows up in windows as the iPod touch. I also had this problem with my older iPods as well (Ipod nano 4th Gen, iPod touch 2nd gen(Batteries done for that one)) I can sync music with iCloud, but I have a bunch of songs that are not in the store, and I sincerely want to add those, alot.
I've checked the "iPod appears in Windows but not in iTunes" with the link here: (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363), and followed that process, but to no avail, it does not solve the problem. I've tried to reset the entire ipod by making it enter DFU mode and then rebooting the entire iPod (shows up in iTunes in temporary mode) but once restored, does not appear in iTunes, but still in Windows detected still as a iPod, looks like the iPod and everything. I also have the most uup-to-date iTunes installed (10.5 I believe, just got it today)
This is extremely frustrating because that is why I purchased the iPod (and for the games and apps, those are great too). The iPod was also purchased three days ago, and the setup still didn't detect it. I am not mad at anybody here or the Apple company itself, but I have not found any help online with the browsing option (for support of course).
Please, I would absolutely love the help, i'd be eternally grateful for it.

Never mind, turns out that by uninstalling the programs "Megakey" and "Megaupload" it had resolved this issue.

HT4061 my iphone will not sync with itunes but opens in a different window and my hone now ask to trust the computer every time.

Every time i try to sync my phone it does not regerster with itunes any more but opens in a different page.
