IPhone 4S with newly fixed screen won't restore!

I have recently fixed my iPhone 4S screen and when I put It all back together, I turned it on and it seemed fine! So after a couple minutes I noticed that it wasn't connecting to the Internet, like my SIM card wasn't working but it still said there was one in there, so I tried hooking it up to iTunes and restoring it, but about 3/4 of the way through error -1 pops up. I was just wondering if there's any way to fix the hardware on it or could I take it in and get it fixed at an apple store?

Ok so I actually synced it up again trying to restore it from the IOS 6.0.1 firmware and I got a new error message saying that my iPhone wasn't eligible for that build, so after I fixed that problem by clearing out the cache, I got the same -1 message. Also I don't think that there is like any software on my iPhone because half of the restore process deleted it. I'm just wondering if that could be the problem or if it even mattered what software was on the iPhone before you restore the device.

It might have happened when I was accessing my camera bypassing the lock screen!
All I know is that the thing is now useless and it looks like I will have to wait for the battery to run down to see if powering it back up afterwards will solve the problem.

I have since discovered the "hold down home key and power button" together for a few seconds and this seems to have worked .... phew!

I was getting this even on iOS 4.0, but under this OS, I can restart the phone, and in some cases, this problem goes away.
However, under iOS 5, it simply wouldn't go to LANDSCAPE. Photos is not a worry, since I can just rotate this, but videos is now stuck on Portrait!
Again, the PORTRAIT ORIENTATION SETTING is NOT LOCKED! But it still wouldn't go to Landscape.
Is this some sort of a "gyroscope" problem??

Sorry, but you are mistaken about both observations.
You CAN DEFINITELY take photos in Landscape and you CAN DEFINITELY watch YouTube videos in PORTRAIT (just tried it now using my sister's working iPhone).
Also, my CALCULATOR does not go to LANDSCAPE (i.e. from normal to Scientific) automatically.
So I still think it could be a gyroscope problem...but I'm not 100% sure.

iphone repair store (craked glass) - $150
new sim card (if charged for one) - $20
but getting another one for 200 (through insurance) will give you a year warantee

You need to put a sim card into the phone to be able to activate it - you can't activate a phone without a sim card.
If the phone has just been unlocked, then you don't need an AT&T sim card. Just put any sim card of your choice into the phone and if it is now unlocked, then it should work.

I received an iphone 6 with a damaged screen and now going through a customer service nightmare to get this resolved!!

I ordered an iphone 6 and it was received with a damaged screen. I immediately called and was told that that since it's still functional to go ahead and activate it and a new one will be sent out with a box to fedex back the damaged one. I asked for a silver one and they said no problem. So after a week I called to ask for an update and was told that a message was left for me to call to verify. I never received a message.
OK so then this person went ahead and took care of it and told me that she was ordering the silver one 16gb and once again to send the damaged one with the fedex box when I receive it. I later got a text asking for my bank account info.
I called back to see why they need my bank account. They said I was going to be charged for the iphone again. NO!!! I will not pay AGAIN! This is not my fault!!
So after a few more conversations and talking to the manager a few minutes ago. I was told that I was going to be charged for the iphone until they get the damaged one back. NO!!! Once again I will not pay AGAIN!
I am turning to social media to fix this problem. I just want a working phone! I've been a customer for a very long time and I am shocked at the treatment I've experienced!

I am definitely sorry to hear that your phone was damaged when you received it. I know that would make me very upset and I would want a resolution for it as well. I am glad that we are able to offer a replacement for the phone. How that particular replacement works is that we will send you out a NEW phone rather than a Certified Like New Replacement. In order to do this, we do require a payment for that new phone. Once we receive the defective phone back in the warehouse, the charges are reversed. So essentially it is a hold until we receive the defective phone back. There is not another way for us to order a new device without this payment. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sorry, I haven't a clue. However, in "pairing" phones, I've found that it's not a perfect science and most of the time, if I keep making an attempt, my phone does pair. Today, I finally got around to pairing my new 4S with my Ford Flex. Same story, the first 3 or 4 attempts crashed. Then for some unknown reason, doing the same procedure, the phone did pair with my Flex.

As with any warranty on any product, damage is not covered.
It has nothing at all to do with the fact that they no longer sell iphone 5. They will have planty of service units for quite some time. The warranty simply does not cover damage.

Help! Wondering if anyone can help me or offer advice. I got a new iPhone 5S today with iOS 7.1 and it won't play in my car. I have a 2012 Infiniti G37x. My iPhone 4S had no issues playing. I plug it in via the USB port and it will charge, but the screen displays the message "no songs found." It won't let me navigate to any other choice. So frustrated!!!

Thanks so much cmdey! I was actually able to get mine working as well, but by just connecting the bluetooth in the car and once that was set up the usb worked fine. I had actually calle Infinit and the guy I spoke to said that the 5S or any iOS later than 6.0 is not supported. I then went to the Apple store for another issue and asked about it there with no answers. Finally, I went by my dealer and one of the service guys there fixed it with the bluetooth. Thanks again!

IPhone sync with newly installed Lion

Alright, I am not sure what I can do to fix this. I have just installed The 2 previous OS X releases over the previous, and decided to start fresh upon the Lion. I backed up important information (i.e. music, movies, documents, etc) and wiped it clean after creating a bootable rip of Lion from the App Store. I went ahead and installed, and not my iPhone 4 won't sync with my computer. It just shows up in my devices with Music / Movies / TV Shows under the iPhone. All blank inside.
I have Deauthorized all computers and tried to just Authorize this one, but still no avail. Is there anything I can delete from the iTunes folder that will let this work? I copied everything from my 'Music' folder off the previous Snow Leopard install and pasted into the Lion Music Folder. It looks new stuff is created under the update of iTunes, so not sure if that is why this isn't working.
Any suggestions that will allow me to use my iPhone. Upon plugging it in, it asked to set it up, but still won't fully work.

Okay, that is about where I was at before posting. I always manage everything myself, I hate auto syncing. So I plugged it in, after Authorizing the computer, Transfered purchases, but when I hit the 'Sync' button, or try to change any info in iTunes it tells me that it is going to delete 118 apps and other info from the phone. Is this normal?

whenever i get a message on my iphone 4 (ios 7) the lock screen does not automatically shut off. it just stays on until i manually turn it off and it drains my battery completely! how do i fix this? it's really annoying.

Screen, last night three times, goes into lockscreen and seems to be stuck there. It won't go off (into suspend or how you call it) until you hit the button.
Not sure if it's messages related, since i didn't get any message the last "freeze" time.
I was running some apps, including GPS and Safari and whatsapp.
